I bought this coat for my incredibly wonderful daughter-in-law. She was so enthusiastic about its fit and flexibility, she could hardly stand it. She travels often so the fact that she can ball it up and use it for a pillow, makes it the first thing she heads for when getting ready to pack. I am thrilled as I have never been more successful in gift giving!

I am short (5'1) and curvy (42-31-43) and am used to having fit issues (especially with outdoor/activewear brands). However, it's like they didn't even bother trying with this coat. It was about 6" too wide in the shoulders with a lot of bunch up material around the armpits), fit around my bust, was too wide in the waist by 4", and fit around my hips, but was too snug to fit another layer underneath. The material was also very shiny and noisy (unlike my Marmot coat). The shoulders were the worst part, they cut into my arms when bending over to tie my boots, not because I have fat arms (I don't), but because of the badly shaped armscye. My old coat which is a size too small now doesn't even do that. I wish it had full lining around the neck too like my old Marmot, ... I needed a solid rain jacket to get through winter in the PNW. I found the Torrentshell City Coat in Rivermouth/Ink Black here on Moosejaw. It fits me perfectly, keeps the rain out, has great pockets, is a super cool pattern, and is long enough to keep my pants dry! Although the coat itself is pretty thin, the inner material is warm and the outer layer keeps me very dry. I was having trouble finding the coat in the right size, and Moosejaw saved the day! Thanks!
I bought this waterproof, lightweight raincoat for my daughter who was travelling to Vietnam and Cambodia recently. The coat performed well in heavy rain and because it was mid-thigh length it provided better protection than shorter rain jackets her colleagues were wearing. I can highly recommend this lightweight, waterproof raincoat. I'm happy to recommend Pack Light as well for their prompt response and efficiency in getting the raincoat to us within 2-3 days of ordering.
This is a very nice rain coat with excellent fit and finish. However, most manufacturers now make a very deep hood so that there is a lot of brim in the front to keep rain off your face. Patagonia does not seem to have gone with this trend. Also my wife wears her hair in a bun, as is common with many women, and that makes this problem even worse.
I have been looking for a raincoat that is waterproof and knee length for a while now. I am very happy with the Moosejaw. It weighs practically nothing. The hood is adjustable too so I can still see with it up. It looks nice and I can wear it for appointments with my clients and still look professional.
Great fit, lightweight coat. Patagonia never disappoints. I got the blue/black and it's really cool. The only drawback is there is no hanging loop on the back,
This coat strikes a nice balance between being practical and doing what it needs to do in the elements while still looking stylish. I'm outdoors for work a lot but also need to look professional - this coat has a flattering fit and is more refined in appearance than a typical raincoat. I thought it ran true to size.
