In the plethora of amazing formulas available today from both Paula's Choice and other brands, I don't know how `super` this serum is. But it's a serum I come back to for years. It' a very elegant and interesting texture; it's like a silicone based oil, but somehow so lightweight, absorbing incredibly soft into the skin with almost a dry finish. I prefer to use it at night, even if I never noticed pilling under other products. It's hard to tell how many anti-aging benefits a single product has, since my skin care routine is quite complex, but I really feel how this serum soothes and hydrates my skin. I have combination skin and I don't feel this serum makes extra oily or greasy.

I love this serum, but it wasn't love at first try. I was searching for a multi-tasking antioxydant serum to combat the stresses of work and the environment that I could quickly use in the morning after cleansing and before SPF. It also needed to be a product that could be used at room temperature. I found this serum greasy at first but then I got used to it. I now use it on slightly damp skin all over my face and spray a toner on my hands to apply the rest on my neck and upper chess. It has an excellent formulation including antioxydants (2 types of vitamin C, Co Q10, ferulic acid, superoxide dismutase, EGCG (green tea), soy extract, curcuma (tumeric)), peptides, and humectants (beta-glucan (also soothing), glycerin). Love the vitamin c derivatives, since they are non-irritating for sensitive, dry skin and thus can be worn AM and PM. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is a vit c derivative that is difficult to find in products, but not in PC's products! Love that is also contains a ceramide and peptide! My skin is getting more radiant and firmer by the day!The first time I wore this, my makeup foundation did not sit well on my skin. Then the next few times, I decided to let this sit on my face for 15 mins (or however long it takes to dry completely) and then all subsequent products sit really well on the face with no issues, no pilling or anything. If you haven't tried doing this, please do!

I look white when I don't get sun exposure, but get really tan if I spend a day in the sun, and prone to hyperpigmentation. I was looking for an antioxidant to pair with my sunscreen that wasn't as expensive as a certain brand that sells their C+E+Ferulic serum for $170. This is a really nice alternative that has C, E, Ferulic, and a lot of other great ingredients, especially for skin of color. The consistency is a thicker, silicone texture. If you haven't felt silicones on your face, it may feel "greasy" to you. This is goes on heavy at first, but dries to a very nice finish. I was really unsure about this product when I pumped it the first time because it feels like a very gooey and sticky liquid in your palm. Like a very thick oil. However it GLIDES on your skin and provides the PERFECT base for moisturizer and sunscreen, and then doesnt budge the whole day. It's certainly improving my skin, it looks less tired and a lot brighter and perkier, and I love that. No sensitivity or redness with this one, just pure hydration and skin protecting realness.-1 star because I wear glasses and this product is the DEVIL to get off of the lenses and at the end of the day they are constantly filthy with no hope of redemption. Small price to pay for an otherwise perfect product, but everyone with glasses just as a heads up!

I'm suspecting it's the silicones, which I researched thoroughly before purchasing.I don't know who is paying people to say that silicones don't cause breakouts (do yourself a google search on them), the logic used is so silly to me. It's like saying that someone whose fallen through the ice of a pond doesn't drown because they're trapped beneath the ice, they drown because of the water. I'm 56 and my face is getting drier with age and sun. I am on my 4th bottle and will continue to use. This is a 'concentrated' serum so it is thicker then other serums but that is why I like it. You know it's on your face and not just evaporating off. When first applied you will have a shine, but in a few minutes serum soaks in. In the morning I use a hydrating toner, Vit C, Paula's Choice Concentrated Serum and seal everything in with a lightweight cream before my foundation. The Serum leaves your skin soft and smooth not greasy or heavy feeling.
This is a fantastic antioxidant serum I have tried! The texture is thick, but it doesn't pill. I apply a more watery serum or toner before applying to help it glide over my dry skin, but it's not necessary. I have noticed a big difference in my hyperpigmentation and overall skin texture. One pump goes a long way and is all I need for my entire face. I would recommend anyone who is having difficulty finding a nice antioxidant serum to try this one out!
This is my very first product ordered from PC! I am literally blown away by it so I had to leave a review so that others know how amazing this is! I am a skincare junkie, so I educate myself on the matter and I have tried quite a bit of products till now, vitamin C included.But this amazed me, I saw immediate results, after two time uses, skin is moisturized yes, but not that, it glows and makes fine lines go away in the long term, not just when the serum is applied. Even my under-eye lines were gone by 90%! None of my eye creams does this! Yes, texture seems to be oily, but for me what works to apply is I mix 2 pumps of this with my essence/toner and I massage it into the skin for 1 minute until is completely absorbed.
