The webbing glides over clothing for quick camera access, and the strap connects to strap loops or bottom of the camera body via ultra-low-profile Anchor Mount hardware. A Brilliant Redesign of the Camera Strap

This changed when I got the Peak Design product. There are several features that make this product very attractive to any photographer of any level. Rather than working with cumbersome adjustment points (you know the ones that I mean - the ones that require you push the strap through the D loop and hope that you have gotten the right adjustment), you simply grap the loops and adjust. This device has become so useful to me that I have replaced all my straps on the Sony and Panasonic cameras (even my Leicas) with this product. Simply put, it is Brilliant.

I like the quality of this strap. It seems very durable, maybe a little overkill. It's kind of hard to fold and put into my camera bag. I'm also a little concerned the metal adjusters will scratch my head in transit. Aside from those two issues I'm very pleased with it. I like the ability to easily remove it if I want it on a tripod or gimbal and the quick release is firm enough not to worry it will accidentally come loose. My primary reason for buying was so as not to broadcast to thieves what kind of camera I was bringing on vacation, but the other features will keep me using it continuously.

This was 1 of item I was reco & also knowing for a while, gave a try. Quality of product is very good. Think it's car's seat belt w solid parts. Very comfortable. Solid. Anti slippery on 1 side really works well. I'm still in process of getting used to use its feature to change the length of strap quicker & smoother.

Great strap
2 June 2022

High quality and very functional. The flipping metal "latch" part on the buckles is completely unnecessary but it doesn't get in the way. The perfect amount of support for fast-paced shooting with a full frame body and medium lens. Smooth on one side, grippy on the other. The removable toggles for camera attachment are brilliant in theory, and do work great. However, they can be a little bit fiddly to attach and remove with one hand. Despite these little issues, I would not hesitate to buy this strap again.

Nice strap

Comfortable, well built. The quick disconnect system is/has become popular and Peak solved some early on problems with it and people have come to trust it's dependability. It's fairly bulky, though, and that's why I have a slide lite for my smaller camera. I use this on my Sony A7R IV and feel very confident using it. Here is an odd thing about it, though. It has some very robust hardware to adjust the length of the strap including an aluminum clip that you can clip up or down and THINK that the open postion, 90 degrees out from the strap, is how you adjust length strap. Guess what. It doesn't matter what position the clip is in. You can adjust the strap with this clip in any postion, no postion locks down the adjustability. Kind've weird to have this robust looking ... MoreComfortable, well built. Kind've weird to have this robust looking hardware and complication that basically does nothing to secure the strap length. Maybe Peak should save people some money and come up with a simpler design since this complicated looking adjustment system does nothing to lock the strap position. Anyway, I do not have or have had any issue with the strap length slipping so there is, I suppose, enough of a contact friction but... was really a bit offput to discover this. Both ends act the exact same way, adjust your length with this clip in any position because it doesn't matter. Other that this bit of wierdness it's a very nice strap. Recommended.

Quality costs.....
5 June 2021

For a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. I did some research and everything pointed at Peak Design being the best.I ordered one online from Wex as I have no nearby camera shop and couldn't justify a trip to Milton Keynes or Norwich just to look at a strap! It arrived very quickly and I was impressed. The packing is a work of art (justifying the cost, or part of the high cost? Who knows?)This strap is incredible, simple to fit and adjust. I love the way it spreads the load, so you barely feel it. The double side, smooth for across the body, grip for shoulder is something all straps should have had for decades. It has probably spent equal time on and off the camera, but ... MoreFor a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. I'm now trying to justify the cost of a Peak Design wrist strap, perhaps I'll let the bank balance recover a bit first!

Quality is on point

I’m currently using this for my Canon M50 Mark II and I’m so glad I went with the lite. It’s just the perfect thickness. As far as quality goes, I’m not surprised since it’s peak design. It’s definitely a strap that will last a long time.. better than the one that comes with the camera. The straps are easy to adjust and the lock ensures it’s not moving. The clips are easy to hook and unhook by pressing it in like a button. The clock is very satisfying. Overall, I’m so happy I’ll be getting one for my girlfriend too!

Replacement Camera Strap

The PD plate has a low profile and designed to allow the quick disconnect strap loop to attach easily. The PD plate remains attached to the camera whereas with the BlackRapid strap, the strap has to be removed every time the tripod is used.My only concern with the PD Slide is that the loops that attach to the camera will twist. Over time, chaffing the cord and could cause the cord to break. Replacement loop ends are available. However, it would be a better design if the potential failure point be designed out of the product.

Thick and sturdy seat-belt material with gripping rubber and interchangeable anchors
29 December 2022

I did a lot of research on the Peak Design anchor ecosystem and decided to get the wrist strap and this thick SlideLITE strap. The anchor system is a breeze to use and really convenient for changing straps. Just click and snap and you've changed your straps. I use the SlideLITE when I pair my camera with bigger lenses, and the thickness of the strap doesn't dig into my shoulders with heavier gear. One side of the strap has small rubber grips on it, and you can easily flip the strap to lay it flat when you don't want the strap to slide around. You can also adjust buckles with one hand. Overall, it's really well thought out design. Worth the higher price. Also comes with lifetime warranty.

Versatile and Great Design
11 January 2023

Purchased this strap for my Sony FX3. I use the strap to stabilize hand held video and for general toting around. The buckle adjustments are sturdy and easy to slide. Really like the quick release anchor connectors. They attached to the FX3's strap brackets without the need for additional rings or adaptors, as some reviewers have mentioned. (I did need to use a bent paper clip to push the looped line through the bracket - tight squeeze.) I can easily and quickly release the strap from the connectors and pop the camera on my tripod.
