Needed a better strap for my Z5. The one that came with it failed on me twice by sliding apart. I've never had this happen to me before.Thought I'd do some shopping to find something new and came across this. Reviews were good enough for me to spend the money. Don't know if it's expensive for a strap or not, but it's pretty nice, so I think it's decent.Feels sturdy and looks good. I do with the grippy part was on the other side of the strap, but it's not the end of the world. It would just make it a bit easier to adjust, while it's on my shoulder. Then again, I haven't tried looking to see if I can undo it and re-run the straps. I guess I should try that. All in all, good strap for the money and I'm happy, which is what matters.

This is the best camera strap I've ever used. The ease with which you can adjust the length and attach and detach your camera is unrivalled. It's so good that I'm ashamed to say that I own one of each variety: the padded Slide, this Slide Lite, and the Leash. I use the Slide for my DSLR and the Leash for my travel camera, I got this slide lite to use with my snoot bag instead of the original manufacturer's strap. I would definitely recommend any of the Peak Design straps to anyone wanting the best of the best.

The Peak Design Slide is an easy to use, flexible, but very secure and comfortable camera strap. I go from carry to tripod several times while I am out and it is a breeze to take the strap off and put it back on in a few seconds. It is very secure and comfortable and doesn't slide. The grips near the neck portion work perfectly. The strap is easily adjustable for length which is not true in the factory strap. When I remove the strap for tripod use I just leave it on my neck. It doesn't move and is there when I want the camera back on. Heavy bodies like my D850 are very comfortable. I highly recommend this strap.

Overall the build quality of this strap is really good and seems like it will last a long time. I just replaced my old strap because it started to rust at the quick release. I would have expected the quick release to be easier/faster to take off but maybe that is because I am not used to it just yet. Also, it isn't the worst thing that it doesn't release that easy. It will be interesting to see how it holds up from a comfort level on a long trek with it.
I picked this strap up because I've been carrying a second camera since I got back into analog photography. I found myself often slinging an analog camera and hand carrying a digital, or vice versa, and figured it was about time I got another strap so I wasn't carrying something all day. I'll say this, the slidelite is robust, comfortable, sturdy and well designed. That said, it's overkill for me. My previous strap was the Peak Design Leash, which is the same fantastic quick-connect system. It's about 1/3 the width though, and much lighter, with significantly smaller buckles. For the cameras I carry, the leash is much less obtrusive and more comfortable. If I was carrying a large DSLR with heavy lenses, maybe the slidelite would be more fitting, but for my purposes ... MoreI picked this strap up because I've been carrying a second camera since I got back into analog photography. Easy to fit, comfortable around neck or in sling position or over shoulder position, idea of non slip section makes the latter possible safely. It's quickly adjustable. Love the anchor system (get 4 in pack) which means I can quickly detach strap to use on another camera. Also great that you can attach an anchor at the tripod mount on base of camera - lens then points to ground when carrying in sling position. Wish I'd bought one sooner! G be £££££
Pros: Overall I'm very pleased with my PD slide lite. I also bought the cuff as well, also great. I find it very comfortable and convenient to use. The strap can be easily adjusted to suit how I want to wear or to what its attached. Much better than a neck strap.Cons: Perhaps some more shoulder padding but honestly i'm very impressed with the 2 PD products ive bought.
For a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. I did some research and everything pointed at Peak Design being the best.I ordered one online from Wex as I have no nearby camera shop and couldn't justify a trip to Milton Keynes or Norwich just to look at a strap! It arrived very quickly and I was impressed. The packing is a work of art (justifying the cost, or part of the high cost? Who knows?)This strap is incredible, simple to fit and adjust. I love the way it spreads the load, so you barely feel it. The double side, smooth for across the body, grip for shoulder is something all straps should have had for decades. It has probably spent equal time on and off the camera, but ... MoreFor a long time dangling straps have bugged me on cameras, so when I bought a Canon EOS R6 I decided it was time to do something about it. It has probably spent equal time on and off the camera, but then that's a major part of buying it.Overall an incredible price for a strap, even allowing for the cost of the equipment it's fitted to, but worth every penny. I'm now trying to justify the cost of a Peak Design wrist strap, perhaps I'll let the bank balance recover a bit first!
I brought this on vacation to Italy this past summer. It was 90 degrees and very crowded in most places I brought my camera. I felt relatively safe using this, even in large crowds. It was comfortable enough, even with all the sweating I did. The attachment doo-hickeys are easy to use, and since I have a wrist strap from the same company, it is easy to swap the straps. My camera is a Canon EOS M50 Mark II, so it's not terribly heavy.
Great build quality. Its higher price than alternatives and generics in Amazon but its totally justified. Every part of the product feels well made and polished. The connectors work perfectly, not even a doubt it will hold the camera properly. The adaptor for the base of the camera is tiny, you can place the camera in a flat surface and it looks as it's not there. Sage color is super elegant and the material used feels super premium. Look no further for a strap
