I've had this pen for about two weeks now. I love writing with it! The other fountain pens I own are Kawecos, and a Sheaffer I bought a million years ago (I was in high school!) This Pelikan is the most comfortable, I think. The material feels durable and pleasing to touch, and it's nice and light I can write for a long time without getting tired holding it (not all my pens have this quality). I got the fine nib, and it's a little bit thicker than I would have preferred, but that's not a big deal. I really like the color of the pen. It's more of an emerald green than how the product shot looks on my monitor. Overall, really happy with it!

Amazing!

I have wanted a Pelikan for years but could never warrant the expence. This was a too good to be true Pelikan gift set!! OMG! The pen is marvelous and the Edelstein ink superb!!! I absolutely LOVE the color. I hope Penboutique does this again next year!! I will be all in for a new color M205 and ink!! Hint hint!!!!

At last, a Pelikan!

When I saw a wonderful price at Pen Boutique on not only a Pelikan M205 but a Pelikan M205 with a bottle of matching Edelstein ink, I knew my time to acquire a Pelikan had finally arrived! The pen is of course as marvelous as expected - a smooth, dependable, enjoyable writer. And the Edelstein is as vibrant and well-behaved as I hope it to be. My first Pekikin

This pen is my first Pelikin. I have several Pilot pens that I love, and I wanted my next pen to be a different brand. This pen was on sale. I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! The pen is beautiful and the fine point nib writes so smoothly. This is one of my favorite pens, and I will be adding more Pelikins to my collection.

Nice Pen, Nice Price

This was my first "traditional" Pelikan--a Pura was my only other foray into Pelikan-land. The pen is what I assume the bloggers mean when they say a pen has a great fit and finish. I am a sucker for bluish, demo, piston-fillers (Pilot Heritage 92, etc.) and this one is right up there, even with a steel nib. Great color of both the pen and the matching ink. Pen Boutique's service was great as always.

Pelikan 205

The pen is handsome. The box is elegant and it comes with a pen case. However what is disappointing is the actual writing experience. I have the extra fine nib and it is scratchy and not smooth and fluid.

Pelikan and the Pen Boutique - a great combina

I learned to write with a Pelican decades ago and have used a variety of brands since then. This pen has been such a joy to use. The extra fine nib flows smoothly and is great for everyday writing. This was my first piston filled fountain pen and I’m am sorry I waited so long. Customer service is very personable, and I’ll no doubt order again.

Smooth Operator!

This is my first Pelikan and I love how smooth it writes. It’s lightweight enough and has a comfortable body to grip. As a lefthander, I think the ink is nice but I need to wait a few seconds for it to dry, depending on the paper (having a fine nib helps with this!). Super pleased with this purchase.

Very pleased

The Pelikan Apatite is a very smooth writing (M) pen. It is very light weighr and attractive. The Apatite jnk that came in the holiday bundle is a moderately light turquoise. For my preferance, I will probably refill the pen with Pilot Asa Gao. Overall a great value and worth having
