Penrite HPR 15 is a premium, full synthetic 15W-60 engine oil featuring Penrite's Double Layer of engine wear protection. This oil incorporates Penrites Full Zinc additive package, creating a sacrificial layer on critical engine components to protect them from metal to metal contact and cold start wear. Used this to replace a thinner oil used for the last service which the car was burning at a decent rate. The almost 300k km engine is much happier with this oil and its very smooth, the random ticking that all old Mitsubishi V6's get (HLAs) is gone too.

Car overheated due to a broken radiator (and a very old motor) in the burnley tunnel, pushed it to the other end and hoped it would survive, it did survive, i attribute that to having a fresh lot of this oil in there. A lesser oil would have resulted in a ceased motor or bent valves. The car also seems to run smoother and quieter with this oil, not sure how that translates to oil performance

I switched over to Penrite about 3 years ago from using oil imported from the US for my hot rod . I was a little sceptical at first and did a little digging and found they had all the right blends to keep my engine alive . I was using full synthetic on my previous engine with great results ,Have switched to the full synthetic after putting some 5000kms on a freshsolid roller stroker . Top end is quieter ,holds good oil pressure hot , piece of mind knowing the oil is doing its job under some abuse.

I first purchased Penrite 15W 60 motor oil when I noticed the oil being used my my dealer always needed a top-up every thousand kilometers. Since I started using the Penrite 15W 60 oil I have not had to top-up the oil at any time, it stayed at the full position on the dipstick from one change to the other. The only oil I will use even if I brought a new vehicle.

I changed to HPR 15 after using Castrol Magnatec in my 2003 Astra since new. It's always burned the Castrol, I'd have to top it up multiple times between services. It hasn't used a single drop of this Penrite since the last service 7 months ago. I know it's slightly thicker, than the 10W-40 Castrol, but I'm truly impressed by the lack of oil consumption. I'll be interested to see if it contines with future oil changes.
Oil is too thick. Even though it is a 15W, it is still too thick. Oil takes too long to get up to the upper part of the engine. This results in excessive noise on start-up, which eventually goes away when the engine warms up.
Best oil. Use it for my GQ Patrol. Can’t go wrong with using Penrite. Would not recommend using the hose on that comes with the oil, get yourself a funnel it’ll do a cleaner, better job.
This quality Penrite product - like all other Penrite products provides superior engine protection. I'm not just sharing an opinion. I know that for a fact. My vehicle has just clocked up 470,000 uninterrupted kliometres using this quality Australian oil. My ute's 304 V8 engine is quiet, still runs smooth and oil consumption is negligible. Performance and reliability - second to none. Do I highly recommend this product? Sure do!
Always used Penrite oil in all my cars and always had longevity and minimum wear in all my high kilometre cars.
