Like every other espresso machine I’ve encountered this one is loud too but not overwhelming loud. I have 9 cats and none of them have been scared by the noise. I have successfully made espresso with others sleeping and not woken them up. There are detailed cleaning and maintenance instructions included and available as videos online to keep the machine in perfect working order. I have found all of this to be very easy. The brew group is easy to remove, clean, and reinsert. In summary, I could not be happier with this coffee maker! It’s easy to use and maintain and saves me so much money on coffee.

I CANNOT recommend anyone buying this machine. It requires quite a bit of reading before usage. DO NOT BUY!

There’s a step by step tutorial which I followed along side the set up, without that I would have probably struggled with just the manual alone. The upkeep and maintenance of the machine is extremely easy. There are several different lights on the machine which indicate if something needs emptying or replacing. With the addition of the filter it means less time descaling. As long as I've kept the different parts of the machine rinsed and cleaned correctly there haven’t be any issues. Eventually the filter will need replacing and they are available to buy from Phillips. Overall, I’m really impressed at how easy this machine is to maintain. By having the coffee machine it’s helped me cut out daily trips to coffee shops on my route to work because I have all I need to make an excellent brew at home. I’ve found a new love for cappuccinos since the arrival of this machine rather than my go to Americanos from the coffee shops. I’ve tried a few different types of coffee beans with this machine and played around with the settings for the perfect strength and found that a 4/5 works best for my taste, depending on the type of drink. The machine itself grinds the beans so that the coffee is always fresh. There is also an option of adding in pre ground coffee into a separate compartment. I tend to sway more towards the beans but that’s just my preference. However I will add that the pre ground is just as delicious, and both provide a delicious crema. The grind settings can be changed by adjusting a small wheel on the bean hopper. I’m quite tall so it's easy for me to see the setting as I adjust, but it could be problematic and more difficult to see the dial if you're a shorter person, or the machine is higher up. Overall, I’m very impressed with this machine, I love the addition of the latte go function and the fact I get a delicious coffee in the comfort of my own home. I do find the machine quite noisy which is a bit of an issue for your neighbours when you’re an early morning riser like myself. However, if you’re after a high quality and fuss free machine then this is the one for you. Ever since it’s arrival there hasn’t been a day where I’ve not used it so it’s a yes from me.

We have had the Philips Latte to Go coffee machine for about a month now. It's been used every day. The coffee is great and dispenses well. We were able to program the amount of coffee and water dispensed perfectly. BTW, We are using Aldi brand coffee and are really satisfied with the flavour. The milk frothing carafe is the only issue. Whilst it produces excellent froth, it is a very lightweight carafe and is an unusual shape that makes it easy to knock over if storing in the fridge. The lid is not secure either. I would love to see Philips design an insulated carafe that would keep the milk cold and allow us to leave the milk carafe on the machine during the day. That way, the carafe would not need to be stored in the fridge. Simply rinsing it out it out each evening.
