The other is that it comes with a de scaler to easily clean it so you don't have to spend extra on this. I can't imagine ever using a normal iron again after this, if like me you have a lot of ironing to do this is definitely worth investing in.

Definitely gets hot and steamy under the collar!

I would say the Phillips Perfect Care 6000 is a fantastic iron it’s very easy to operate and the iron itself glides over clothes with ease. It’s a very lightweight iron that gets through piles of ironing effortlessly. The water tank it big enough to handle large loads of ironing without needing refilling, the tank itself is quite heavy which is as expected, it could do with some rubber feet on the bottom of the tank to help keep it secure to whatever surface you’ve placed it on or maybe even a small built in clamp to clamp it to the ironing board. The steam this iron generates is excellent and can easily take the creases out of shirts in seconds, one of the features I really enjoyed was the steam boost if you double tap the steam button, this was very helpful and ... MoreI would say the Phillips Perfect Care 6000 is a fantastic iron it’s very easy to operate and the iron itself glides over clothes with ease. I'm really chuffed with this iron! I hate ironing and so anything to make this annoying task easier is going to be great, but this exceeded my expectations!I was surprised that there wasn't a temperature control option, and was worried it might burn some more delicate clothing, but it handles everything we've thrown at it with zero issues! It glides really nicely over clothes, and the steam quickly deals with any creases, even on more stubborn clothing, and it takes half the time to iron over my old standard iron!I was concerned that it was going to be big, bulky, heavy and difficult to store and use, but even though it's obviously larger than a normal iron, it stores away easily and isn't heavy or cumbersome to use; it's just a hard-working iron that zooms ... MoreI'm really chuffed with this iron! Lightweight and was really looking forward to it being able to recognise different fabrics without need to change temperature. It turns out that the iron plate remains cool. Tried to iron a cotton sheet and had to repeatedly go over same spot using steam button.Another plus I was looking forward to was the self cleaning element. Turns out that I had to use this straight away as after taking it out of the box, the steam didn't work. Philips customer service had to help diagnose fault. It is very easy though. My old iron was heavier but would go through 2 layers at a time and would stand up.I'm afraid it's going back and I'm back to my researching.

You got the reminder for the cleaning so you keep up with care. The steam is fabulous on the board of clothes hanging . I did both. Very easy to use. Great how you lock the iron into place by the top clip so you store it away safely. The clothes are pressed in no time. It will also switch off automatically if not in use for 10 minutes. You press the steam button twice fast and the steam will flow out. Remember to steam 30 seconds horizontally before ironing upright. Love how it will not burn your clothes should you rush out and forget you left it standing down on your clothes. I couldn’t wait to test all this out on a silk top. No burns at all. The cleaning process is very easy just leave for the 2 minutes it will stop beeping so you know it’s all done. Oh and taking water out the tank was very easy just take care once you do the cleaning part as water will be in the white tray. I truly love this and haven’t stopped speaking about the quality and results. I put some photos so it may help to see this beauty. Did I say how I love this! Now this makes my ironing fast and fun truly

Very pleased with this steam iron which I bought to replace my last Phillips which lasted 13 years .Takes a bit of getting used to not having a setting dial for different materials / temperatures but infact is much easier as it effortlessly irons all items in the one setting - love the fact it will not burn any item if left placed on an item ( or even the ironing board cover - great feature )The water tank is easy to fill but badly designed to fully empty but this is a minor feature - bit noisy compared to my old iron but you soon realise the steam is so powerful that you stop noticing itI’d give this 5 stars and worth the investment

Shortens ironing time with great results

The Phillips PerfectCare 6000 Series is a good looking steam generator iron that is lightweight, easy to use and gives excellent result cutting down on ironing time. The iron has a large capacity tank which is easy to fill meaning you can get through a large ironing session in one go without having to refill the iron and wait for it to get back up to temperature. Heat up time is less than three minutes which is really good, and the safety lock handle means you can transport the iron safely and easily. Heat up time is less than three minutes which is really good, and the safety lock handle means you can transport the iron safely and easily. The Iron bed is smooth and a good shape and gives good results on a range of different fabrics with no need to worry about temperature settingWhilst the iron is really good, I found that the steam generator is bit loud and very ‘chuggy’ and reminds me of a steam train (which some make like!!) which means that the steam output is not consistent as I would like because of the way the pump is working. This also makes any vertical steaming more difficult to complete. When using you may need a little time to adjust to the ‘blow off’ of the pressurised steam as when you take your finger off the button there is a long output of steam that is slightly delayed and if like me you are used to lifting the iron off the clothes after use this can be a bit daunting and means you need to take extra care. The iron is obviously designed to be left on the ironing board which may not be second nature if you are moving across to a steam generator, but this is a habit I need to grow into rather than putting it back on its stand like a traditional iron.Overall, I am very happy with the performance – it just takes a little time to adjust your ‘technique’ to get the most out of it.

The philips perfectcare 6000 is very easy to use and is also very comfortable to handle and maneuver. I can definitely see and feel the difference between this product and a cheaper alternative. It ironed my clothes perfectly with little effort. The steam is very strong with two modes, single hold or double press for a steam boost that removes creases very quickly. It also has optimal temp so you can easily switch between clothes without having to change any dials or wait for the temperature to adjust. You can also use the iron vertical like a handhold steam iron if you wish to do so.The iron limescale clean option is also a fantastic feature to keep the product strong and long lasting. I would definitely recommend this iron to anyone that does alot of ironing.
