I’m a loyal apricot scrub lady for exfoliating purposes only - that is until the sand in it kept grossing me out in my drains and the grittiness on my shower floor. I, luckily, was selected to try this microdelivery exfoliating cleanser and it is so SO nice! My chin area always has these little invisible pimples and I actually feel that they get buffed off and my chin feels so smooth. I did notice that my skin feels sensitive if I use three days straight so I took a break for a day then resumed. It’s also winter time and my skin is so dry this time of year. So far it’s been nearly a week and I am enjoying this wash. Skin is soft and not bumpy. I had my husband feel my cheeks to feel how smooth. It has a fine grit (fun fact, exfoliant in this cleanser is silica that comes from shells of a marine algae) and I have seen no irritation from using. I move across my skin in circular motions for 30 seconds. It really does feel like you’ve just given yourself a mini facial when you rinse off. My skin is more smooth, soft, and visibly brighter after using. Over time this has helped improve the texture of my skin and has made my complexion more even toned. Philosophy says you can use this daily but I would suggest, especially if you have sensitive skin, by starting out using for only 2 days a week and slowly work your way up. But this is a great gentle exfoliating cleanser. PROS: ✅ Gentle. I'm in love with this face scrub, it really feels like I'm pampering myself and getting a mini-facial at the salon. I love the smell, too--orange citrus peel is one of the main ingredients and you can definitely smell it immediately after dispensing the product. So if you enjoy citrus-scented stuff, you'll love this. I set out to use this on different days at various times (after an evening shower, in the morning after waking up, after a midday workout) to get a feel for the different uses and how my skin felt before and after. They also don't dissolve as you're using the face wash, which I feel is a huge advantage over traditional scrubs using natural ingredients like sugar. I use sugar scrubs a lot and feel like the sugar dissolves too quickly as you use it. I could honestly use this every day, it's especially refreshing to use after a sweaty workout, a hot shower, or a long day at work. I find that it's very clarifying, it does a good job at clearing away minor blemishes and dried, flaking skin. But as a result, you'll need to adequately moisturize afterwards, because I think it can be a little drying.

I have recently moved away from exfoliators with physical exfoliators in them (beads, grains, etc.) and use chemical exfoliators instead. I was nervous to try this, but the grains in this one are SO fine, which is what you want to ensure you don’t irritate/tear your skin, so I really like this one. I’ve used this at least 6 or 7 times now and it does such a great job leaving your skin feeling refreshed, clean, and soft. After I use it, my skin looks so pretty and glowy! I love using this before putting on makeup because it leaves you with a nice base. It smells nice and fresh, but it isn’t overpowering and doesn’t linger at all once you wash it off. Gave me the worst acne of my LIFE

I have sensitive skin, but not acne prone skin. I don't come from any family history of acne, but obviously get the occasional break out every once in a while, especially around my period. But THIS STUFF....ruined my skin. I was using it as directed, and it was okay for a week or two until I began getting the worst break out of my life. HUGE painful pimples and lots of small under the skin texture. It was constantly itchy and inflamed. I continued to use the product because I didn't think it was related but the issue continued to get worse. My theory is that whatever exfoliant is in this product was creating micro tears in my skin, allowing bacteria build up and leading to acne (note: I would wash my face with the cerave acne face wash immediately after using the exfoliant). I would literally never recommend this product to anyone unless I really hated them and wanted to watch them suffer through weeks of self conscious breakdowns and the worst acne of their lives.

Used this in the morning as recommended on the sachet. It has a light citrus scent that's just right. I love facial washes with tiny beads that exfoliate, so you can bet I was happy to discover Microdelivery Exfoliating Daily Wash by Philosophy had them. The grains didn't dissolve, allowing me to really feel them cleaning my face and probably down to the pores. Although I enjoy facial scrubs, I was worried that this would dry my skin like the ones I've used in the past. On the contrary, it left my skin feeling soft and smooth. The best thing about this cleanser is that you can use it daily, which sometimes I use instead of my Purity Made Simple. The bottle I am using now is a newer formula in that the micro beads have less slip, thicker, which causes me to add water to my face and it is now clear instead of having a slight orange tint. I prefer the previous formulation, but I still hive it 5 stars because it still performs wonderfully buffing dead skin cells, that makes my skin softer. I always purchase the 32 oz. bottles and am glad you still carry it. Philosophy was my first high-end skin care that I've been using since I was in my 20's. Have had acne since adolescence. Normal bacterial comedone acne switched over to some folliculitis style acne sometime in my late 20’s. Tried MANY products. Thought maybe it was fungal. After treating my face a couple times a week with anti fungal products and hydrocortisone, things got a little better in the last few years. Have always been good with weekly microdermabrasion scrubs or sulfur treatments too. But this product along with taking trace minerals, zinc, B12, D3 and other antioxidants has brought my skin back to looking 90%+ clear in about 3 months or less. I think everybody is different and cures are complex. Eating, sleeping and drinking right are all part of the cure. It is rich and densely filled with micro granules that Polish and buff the facial skin without stripping off all the oils. The consistency is thick. Has a very light, pleasant aroma that didn’t bother either me or my skin. You need just a tiny amount, so a bottle will last a long time, especially if you use it twice a week. I used it as an exfoliator and not a face wash. It is the best exfoliating gel I have used ever, hands down. The particles are so fine, yet scrubbed my face, especially the nose area squeaky clean.
