Just received my bag and will say it's great looking overall. Pocket layout is great and really like the inside pockets inside the 2 side large pockets. Still feels light loaded with all my clubs and accessories. The 2 smaller side pockets I do really like the magnetic closure flaps, pretty cool in my opinion.Only 2 issues I have with the bag is I got the blue bag and the top cover is black, would expect the cover to match the bag and this will bother me when I have to use it, . Second issue I see is the zippers feel a tad weak and might wear out quick unless you are over careful all the time.Over all this is a great bag and would reccomend.

Very poor quality. Several holes along the strap guide after less than one month. Ping have had weeks and done nothing. I guess I should plan on spending $27 a round for the privilege of having a bag that’s falling apart. At least it says Ping.

I bought this bag less than a year ago. Love the colors and pocket layout; however, two of my pockets have already had the zipper pulls break off. One falling apart is something I can accept as there are bound to be imperfections sometimes. Two already breaking though, not acceptable for the money these bags cost. Just wondering how many more are going to break off in the middle of a round. Hope the new G425 irons I ordered last week are higher quality than the bag I wanted to put them in.

I purchased a brand new, fitted set of the g425 irons, the g425 LST driver, g425 max 3 and 5 wood, and the Shea putter (amazing clubs). I wanted to fit the new set with a worthy bag and went with the black and white ping traverse bag, the complete package is a head turner. The only down side of the bag is that there are two rivets that hold the back handle on that are not covered by any material. After my second round with the new set up I noticed that the shaft of my brand new driver was scratched right where these rivets are in the bag. It is a real bummer to invest in a set of clubs, put them in the manufactures bag and then have the bag cause damage to the clubs. For the price of the bag I was expecting a little more.
I used it for the 1st time today, on a Clicgear push cart. I put the golf balls in the lower cooler pocket, with still plenty of room for drinks if needed. As the bag leans towards the cart handle, I put my woods in top sleeves, with irons below, it makes all irons very visible and easy to access. I put the putter in the lower putter sleeve and to prevent any possible issues with grab handle rivets, I cut a piece of tube used for in wall home vacuum, inserted it in the sleeve, it protects the shaft and makes is easy to retrieve the putter with an oversized grip. The bag is light considering the storage it provides. I highly recommend it.
I bought this yesterday and played 9 holes with it. The rivets holding the carry handle on the back rubbed the finish off of my new driver shaft. It happens when the bag is secured to the riding cart. Any club shaft in the middle slot on the back of the 14 way top will wear against these rivets. It’s not a huge deal, but obviously a minor fix for whoever builds this bag for Ping. It has plenty of storage and the cooler pocket is nice, but is where the large ball pocket is located on most golf bags. The biggest issue is that loaded with clubs and just 4 plastic drink bottles, the bag is wobbly at best in a flat surface. I spoke with a customer service and the response was that they would pass the info along.
I bought this bag from a local Ping fitter- distributor. The bag looks nice, is light weight , BUT , it falls over on its own. My Ping clubs have been reorganized in the bag, the bag still falls over. I hope that nothing breaks when this happens again. It seems when the bag gas clubs in it, the balance is off. I now need to stand the bag so it will not fall over. VERY disappointed !!Also , when this bag is sitting on my push cart , the club slots on the 2 bottom corners collapse somewhat, making it difficult to pull the clubs out, and harder to put them back into the slots. Probably will need to purchase another bag, this one has been used 5 - 6 times.
Overall a great bag, but it does have a design flaw. The “valuables” pocket in the very front, is not waterproof/resistant. The first time I used the bag, the skies opened up and rained for about 15 minutes, and everything in that pocket was soaked. I find that an important oversight. This pocket is a perfect place for you wallet, electronics and keys. In short if you put your important delicate things in this pocket, and it rains, don’t be surprised if they get wet
I bought this bag two weeks ago. I like the bag but the rivets inside the center pocket scratches the wood shafts. I play 425 irons with Graphite shafts. I reversed the placement of the woods so they would scratch, now I have the putter it the slot where the rivets are. I’m afraid I will get scratches on my putter shafts. I haven’t played since I reversed the club plan. I think having the rivets where is scratches the shaft is a bad design.
I bought this bag because all my equipment is Ping and I love the looks, weight and storage of the Traverse bag. But... I am likely returning it after using once. The 2 sleeves closet to the back are very small, and when pulling out a club (I have standard midsize grips), it pulls the velcro cover out, exposes a rivet and scratches the grips. It's really bad when the bag is on my pullcart (Bag Boy Nitro) - very difficult to get clubs out of these 2 corner slots
