Remarkably resistant to accidental vibration and shocks. Easy set up by following manufacturer instructions. Plug and play. I have not tried the digital output yet.Can recommend this unit for audiophiles home use. Can use with even small powered speakers or normal stand alone speakers.

This is a great package for wishing to recommence their old mixing skills or for those just starting out, the PLX-500’s are a good alternative to the higher priced models and hold the tempo very well for those who enjoy beat mixing. The DJM 250 mk2 mixer is very responsive with excellent transitions along with the ability to record your mixes directly in to the accompanying software.Monitor speaker output is good and The DJ Shop provide you with everything you in one package deal to make music immediately after opening.Good value for money and great service.

Fantastic product, great sound quality, reasonably easy to use. As this was my first turntable purchase in MANY years, there was rather a learning curve, and on reflection I probably should have started with a more basic/automated unit (no automatic return, etc) - but that is on ME. The product itself arrived in perfect condition, and is filling our house with that beautiful, warm, vinyl sound. Make sure you have awesome speakers - we are using some Yamaha HS8 Studio monitors, and the sound is sublime.

It's an excellent table level turntable. I got it for reasons 1. I was looking for a direct drive turntable. I won't be scratching any albums, but the display clips built in to the dust cover are handy when you play an album. Other manufacturing companies do build them but to get this quality, they don't make it.... not for$369 dollars. 2. I looked for the maximum weight I could find. I'm old school and I remember the literally "feather like" weight of turntables in the day. Light as hell and you had to place them as far away from the turntable as you could. Because at volume, the louder you cranked it, the more "feed back" that could easily blow a speaker. So, as I read the specifications I was shocked that the weight of this player is 27 lbs after assembly! That's ... MoreIt's an excellent table level turntable. I got it for reasons 1. So, as I read the specifications I was shocked that the weight of this player is 27 lbs after assembly! That's pretty strong, I knew this turntable was factory!3. And it's a Pioneer. And I was raised on Pioneer. Pioneer was, they would say in today's terms, fire. And still kicking. So, just replace the top mat included, with a good quality mat to replace it. Then behold, a 27 lb, direct drive, Pioneer jewel.I just ordered my first 2 new albums to begin the new collection. Dire Straits "Making Movies" and AC/DC "Back in Black". Can I say just how sick it makes me that I didn't preserve those 400, 500 ALBUMS I bought along the way and they are gone forever. Take care of your collection.
The turntable arrived on time and in good condition. Met all my expectations except that the sound plays lower on my new Onkyo TXNR 6100 - 100-watt receiver. If you compare the Digital streaming of music or CD to the turntable even after all the tweaks of using a protractor and VTA for calibration it plays lower. Yes, I've checkedall my cables and used gold tips. It's not the cables but it could be the low-end cartridge that came with the turntable. I also tried swapping the RCA cable from the Turntable preamp to the receiver preamp with the same results. It likely needs an upgrade to a better cartridge.Overall, the turntable sounds good and I'm happy to that extent. I would recommend the table but think about getting a better cartridge.
Excellent service and great price from these guys and very well packed parcel. Always kept informed of delivery details. The turntable is outstanding value for money. A little set up is required but full instructions with pictures are included. Everything you need, including connecting cables is in the box. My other turntable cost double the price of this one and if anything this one is better. Cannot fault in any way, highly recommended.GS, UK.
I use two of these along with an Allen & Health Xone:23 and am able to mix, beat-match (in other words, be a DJ) as well as can be expected. They actually sound great, and it's easy to balance the arm/needle using the same features you would on Technics for making sure everything hits correctly when you drop the needle on the record. ;)I noticed that some people had issues with the START/STOP button not working, and that did happen to me once when I first got the equipment. After I hit the button a few times rapidly, it worked again no problem and has never happened again.
Not sure where this fits really. Its sound quality isn’t good enough as straight usb vinyl converter for the price and it’s definitely not fit for club battle. Too flimsy, with the torque too soft to really mix and scratch at a decent level. Ironic, given the model name. Did manage to warm up the sound by replacing the cartridge which should have been better at the price. One benefit is that it does convert vinyl direct to Rekordbox albeit at an inferior quality. I’d ‘scratch’ it off the list.
The only monitor speakers I can compare these Pioneers to are the Tanoy 402 Reveal. The Pioneers deliver a really nice and warm sound with lots of definition in the mid to high range, even the lower frequencies can be hear nicely down to about 50 Hertz. Anything below about 30 Hertz starts to rumble and just becomes inaudible. Great quality speakers for the price. I'm a music producer and I used to own the Tannoys mentioned above, they were ok but the bass response was nowhere near as good as the Pioneers. The Tannoys also lacked some clarity in the high end frequencies. The only thing I don't like about the Pioneers is the fact that they're not great if you use an interface with them, monitors should go straight into the back of most interfaces and keep the ... MoreThe only monitor speakers I can compare these Pioneers to are the Tanoy 402 Reveal. The only thing I don't like about the Pioneers is the fact that they're not great if you use an interface with them, monitors should go straight into the back of most interfaces and keep the headphone output separate. I managed to get around this by plugging the 3.5mm jack from the speakers into the headphone input on the interface. Other than that these speakers are great, quality design, really nice sound and very easy to setup. I highly recommend this if you're looking for something within a 200 budget. If you want to spend more then I'd go for the Yamaha HS8's, they're hands down one of the best moniter speakers on the market. Cheers
