(My rating would be 3.5 if that were possible on Influenster.)If you like your champagne very dry, this is the one for you. It's tart and dry, and it's not bad, but it doesn't have the complex flavor profile I prefer in champagne. I also find this one tastes best when not allowed to sit in the glass too long. So, at this price range, I usually prefer the complexity of Veuve Cliquot. The fizz in this Piper is pronounced, with large, aggressive bubbles. The bubbles in the similarly priced Veuve Cliquot tend to be smaller but livelier, like a continuous fountain of tiny bubbles in the flute. The mouth feel of the Piper also isn't as silky. Flavor aside, the mouth feel of Piper's bubbles remind me of those of Perrier sparkling water.None of this is necessarily bad; ... More(My rating would be 3.5 if that were possible on Influenster.)If you like your champagne very dry, this is the one for you. A lot depends on what foods you'll be serving. This Piper would do especially well at cutting through rich, fatty foods. Its red label also looks gorgeous on a Christmas holiday table.

I purchased this champagne for Easter Sunday mimosas. After one sip, before adding juice, everyone opted to drink it on its own. It has a slight taste of apples but is dry and not overly sweet. I will definitely purchase this again.

This is technically my second champagne, but the first one I tried was corked. It smelled creamy and like a French bakery that only makes lemon pastries. I would have given it a fifth star if I had gotten more of that on the palate. The finish was subtle but it stayed on my mind for the rest of the night. With that being said, I'm not sure if it tasted like it was worth almost $40. It was a pretty big splurge for me but maybe there's stuff I'm missing

This is the first champagne I ever drank 50 yrs. ago for my wedding day, it was great then and it's still just as refreshing now 50 years later, my number 2 champagne because Dom P. is number one. The price isn't too expensive for the quality of this drink. We enjoyed it very much, and have an anniversary toast with it each year
This is my new favorite champagne to serve when entertaining. 20 years ago it was Veuve. I don’t like that one anymore. But this champagne is delicious!
Had pretty good aromas for a first impression. Once we got drinking we both realized that there just wasn’t anything special about this wine. The fruit and acidity we’re just very average. After tasting quite a few champagnes now, this just didn’t stand out on any level. I’d spend just a little more and get a bottle with something special inside.
Bought a bottle of this amazing bubbly for a 40th Wedding Anniversary celebration gift by post. Delivery was prompt and the whole end to end process reliable and stress free. Will definitely order again
Fairly unpleasant. Actually tastes rather like a cheap cava. Absolutely overrated. Do not purchase. After drinking English 'Champagne' (Nyetimber), nothing can compare.
I love trying new champagnes, so I was very excited to open this one for a special occasion. Opened it this afternoon, and it smelled bad and tasted bad…was very dark. Most likely, the wine had turned. Went down the sink. Pretty bummed for a $40+ bottle
So terrific! Piper Heidseick champagne has a bright, zippy flavor profile bursting with energy. And for this price it really cannot be beat in this category. I bought a few bottles for New Years Day. Delicious and highly recommended! I also think it makes an excellent gift in this price tier — it’s probably the most luxurious and well-known name in the $35-40 range and your recipient will think you spent a lot more.
