Have traditionally run Metzler Marathons on all my baggers over the years, stock wheels up to 21's.Thought I would try something new, as the last few Metzler fronts I went through created someheavy/sharp feel during turns, when they were close to worn.Bought the Perelli, good price, came in a couple days. Perfect. Threw it on, did a trip to BC, dry/ wet/ some gravel, the night dragon performed very well in all conditions,It sticks to dry pavement awesome so you can rip some twisty canyon roads with confidence. The physical feel of the tire is nice and tacky, which I like,I don't care if I don't get a million miles out of it, because, for as cheap as it is, the performance is reliable. Cheers.

I purchased these Pirelli Night Dragons almost a year ago for my 13 fxdb here in Revzilla. I currently have almost 7000 miles on them. There’s id say about another 3-400 miles left on them.Overall I am very satisfied with these tires. They are a great high performance tire. Awesome grip on the road. I’ve rode in the rain multiple times with these tires and I would rate the wet ride 8/10.I would highly recommend these tires. Definitely worth the price, not the longest lasting tread life compared to other brands but performance is flawless!I plan on reordering these tires again and look forward to another great motorcycle riding season of 2019.

These feel really good so far. I've been a die hard Dunlop D404 user, having used them across several bikes. But a buddy recommended this tire for my FXR and not gonna lie it's pretty good. The tire profile makes for smooth and controlled leans, the bike wants to stayvleaned over. The grip also really gives you a feeling of confidence. I can see this tire not lasting very long but it's great for my needs.

Very great tire! Sticks like no other but if you ride hard like I do be prepared to go through tires. They get so hot that if you are a hard rider they just eat away front and back. I only got about 3000 miles out of a set before I had to replace. And no it wasn't because of burnouts because you can't do a burnout with the front tire
I put these on my Dyna Wide Glide after the stockers were done. I replaced the stock 80 width tires with these 90 width to get some more contact patch on the ground. The new, wider tire fits perfectly in the fork/fender with no issues, looks great and handles great. I can feel a real improvement on grooved pavement and navigating ruts. These are great shoes! Turn in is very quick, and these grip like crazy. I don't know for myself, but I'm told that they will wear faster than the stockers or even the Commander 2's, but it's well worth it for me. I ride fairly aggressively and like to use the "whole" tire. These are very confidence inspiring. Haven't had the chance to use them in the wet and probably won't. I live in central California, the last person to see rain ... MoreI put these on my Dyna Wide Glide after the stockers were done. I live in central California, the last person to see rain here, was Noah. These tires were cheaper here than anywhere else, but I still had to get them mounted. Take that into consideration when you buy.
This is my third set of night dragons. These have worked well for me in wet and dry weather. The tires have great grip. I was leaned over in an off camber that was a little over 90* to the right. There was a lump in the asphalt that hit the peg and mount and caused my rear tire to come up and shift the bike a couple inches over. When it came back down it had all te grip I needed. I got about 12k-15k on my 06 Dyna. When I saw they had the same rating as the tires I was looking at for my new to me Limited I had to go with the night dragons again. I have absolute confidence in this tire. I will see how far I can go with the heavier bike on these tires. So far about 1.1k.If you are looking for grip in wet or dry conditions I recommend this tire.
I've had these for about 2 years and 6,000ish miles. The rear tire is still kicking, however the front tire is cracking around the sidewall. I'm not an aggressive rider by any means, I'm not sure if it's dry rot or how long they were sitting in the warehouse before I bought them. But, I do have to say the handling is great.
Coming from Pirelli, these are the sportbike tire- for cruisers. They offer great grip in the dry and are still above-average in the wet. They seem to have a rounder, more tapered profile as well which benefits a sportier handling feel as well. The trade off is these things hold up about as well as soft cheese on a hot day. Have a set on a Moto Guzzi v9- a roughly 50hp bike that was just used to putter around town, and the rear is now on the wear bars at about about 4400 miles. That's pretty disappointing considering I've had actual sportbike tires last longer than that on much more powerful bikes ridden much more aggressively.Considering these things aren't cheap, the bang for the buck is pretty lousy. Too expensive to only last a few thousand miles.
I've had these on my bike (2003 1500 Kawasaki MeanStreak) for a solid year and have rode in all kinds of weather..... On dry pavement I have had no issues and they've been great; but on wet roads, they are downright scary to ride on! It feels as if I'm riding on ice! I have ZERO confidence in them in rain.
I bought the pirelli night dragon for my harley davidson road kind CVO 2013 in April 2018.Once I received them from Revzilla it turns out that the tires are dated from 2016!!!I installed them on my King, the traction / performance is magnificet but the bike started wobbling, which means the bike shaking from the front and rear anytime the speed goes above 70m/h / 120km/h which is super dangerous.I didn;t suspect the tires cause they are new so I changed the steering bearing, the front and rear bearings and axels, Aligned the rear tire again, balanced the tires again, installed Ohlens racing suspension with fork cartridge kit and 357 shocks at the back, checked the tires at different pressures and still the wobbling was there. Then I swapped the wheels with normal ... MoreI bought the pirelli night dragon for my harley davidson road kind CVO 2013 in April 2018.Once I received them from Revzilla it turns out that the tires are dated from 2016!!!I installed them on my King, the traction / performance is magnificet but the bike started wobbling, which means the bike shaking from the front and rear anytime the speed goes above 70m/h / 120km/h which is super dangerous.I didn;t suspect the tires cause they are new so I changed the steering bearing, the front and rear bearings and axels, Aligned the rear tire again, balanced the tires again, installed Ohlens racing suspension with fork cartridge kit and 357 shocks at the back, checked the tires at different pressures and still the wobbling was there. Then I swapped the wheels with normal OEM dunlops and the wobbling was gone even at riding @ 120 m/h - 200km/h.The Harley mechanics and all other mechanics i` checked with told me that since it is a soft compound, the walls of the tire are not handling the weight of the bike at high speed!I have a million questions in mind after I spent more than $ 5000 on the upgrades and replacements?Could that be true that the walls can't take the 384kg / 846 pounds?Isn't Pirelli then supposed to advise on that and warn the customers?Did anyone face the same issue on a harley touring with the Pirelli?Shouldn't Revzilla not sell tires that are older than 1 year, cause even if they are stored properly, the tire eventually dries up after 1 year?I don't want to go back to the OEM dunlop for it handles badly and has 0 performance / grip on curves, and I have tested the avon Cobra on the rear, and though it sticks to the ground and handles perfectly, it also caused a wobble!I am looking now at the Metzeler 888, and though it is better than the bad OEM dunlop, but still doesn't give the high grip and performance thatI want to have while riding1Appreciate it if you can answer me on any of the above and please make sure to check if the tires you buy can take the weight of your bike.Cheers,
