If you have played through Pokemon Sun or Moon already then the 'Ultra' versions are not going to be adding too much for you. It's basically the same game as those versions with a few minor tweaks to the story regarding a new 'Legendary Pokemon' or 'Ultra Beast'. Really the game doesn't change much at all till after you've beaten the Elite Four and go into post game. Still it does streamline the game a bit, but adds some minor annoyances too. Really wouldn't recommend spending the money on it though if you've already got Sun or Moon, but if you haven't picked up either of those then go ahead and get the 'Ultra' version.

I'm about 30 hours into the game and from what I can tell, it hasn't changed a ton. I pre-ordered Pokemon Sun and completed the pokedex with hundreds of hours of gameplay, so I know what I'm getting myself into. The new pokemon changes really aren't significant enough to explore and catch more as they really aren't more powerful. Don't get me wrong, I'll play this game until I can't anymore, but it really hasn't struck with me enough to fall in love. If you are an avid pokemon lover, I would purchase. If not, wait until the next version comes out on the Switch.

Defintely something you can spend days playing. For a Mom with a newborn it's nice to have something I can pick up and put down as I need to. Especially when most popular games these days you can't pause. I've loved the Pokemon games since the Red Version. I bought the regular Moon Version when it first came out and didn't think I would buy this version. I caved when I learned it would be the last Pokemon game on Nintendo's handheld devices. It's definetely worth it. It's different enough and has enough extras packed in to make it a different yet fun experiences.

I went to gamestop looking for this 3 year old game to see if I could get a deal, and they were selling it used for 38. Just 2 dollars off the original 2017 price. So of course I went here and got a NEW copy for about 32. A few days later the price here dropped again down to 30 but that's ok. They told me it would get here Monday and it arrived Friday, just 2 days after I ordered it. And the shipping was free. Be aware that it is very similar to the first Sun and Moon games, but the ultra versions are just plain better. If you have to choose one to play, pick ultra.

I am kind of perplexed by all the one star reviews complaining it's the same game. The Ultra Sun/Moon games are essentially remakes/remasters with all new content and drastic storyline changes to the originals, and have always been marketed as such. It's not intended to be a completely different game as, say, from Red/Blue to Gold/Silver. It's better to think of these as alternative versions to the original games because that's exactly what they are. A lot of scenes are executed much differently (such as the way in which you get your starter), you are chased by an entirely new villain organization with a brand new plot line attached throughout, virtually all characters from major NPCs to simple villagers have new dialogue and quests, there are new areas to find and explore, there are TONS of new secrets and quests ranging from simple and obvious to more obscure and rewarding, there are a LOT more classic Pokemon throughout the entire game to encounter and catch from every generation, not just the legendaries... the list goes on. The latter half of the game plays out VERY very differently with all new events and locations, and the post-game has a lot more meat to it. Even a lot of the soundtrack and the UI have been overhauled and changed. While I can understand not liking a game p.

Pokémon Ultra Moon starts similar to the Original Sun and Moon, but right away you can tell the difference after about an hour or so of story progression. This time the story takes a massive change around the last of the Island Challenges and there is a lot of post game content to experience. The game really shows just how far Gamefreak was able to take Pokémon on Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as well as how much power is required to run the game smoothly. The New Nintendo 3DS and 2DS is the preferred way to play this, but the real slow down issues for the 3DS are mainly in Totem battles and Festival Plaza area. The game is really vibrant and has a lot to do for old and new players as well as being a lot of fun in general and nostalgic to those who played since the ... MorePokémon Ultra Moon starts similar to the Original Sun and Moon, but right away you can tell the difference after about an hour or so of story progression. This is easily one of the best games to ever release on the Nintendo 3DS System and I highly recommend it to any fan of the series or someone wanting to try out the series for the first time.

It was a good game. I played Moon when it first came out, I figured might as well get Ulta Moon too. I feel like this is everything Game Freak/Nintendo wanted to do with the original Sun and Moon games, but they just ran out of time. Overall the story is pretty similar to the original Moon with the exception of adding in the Ultra Recon Squad or whatever it was called. Anyways, they revamped some tracks and enhanced some graphics which made the game feel a lot more polished. Uh basically if you wanna buy this I'd recommend it. Its a pretty fun game. They've also upped some of the difficulty thankfully, so there's a lot more challenge compared to Moon (to me at least, but maybe not to everyone.) Okay, so let me start by saying that if you own Pokemon Sun/Moon, then Ultra Sun/Moon doesn't have much more to offer. There are a few changes that does help a lot, and that includes seeing Pokemon out in the wild just living their peaceful lives while you go about your adventure. The changes in the story make things feel a bit fresher, and the post game story feels a bit simple, but it's quite fun going through the Rainbow Rockets, whom are actually pretty tough, and quite funny to read their dialogues. Giovanni is a true badass though, but sadly that story is left inconclusive. There are other additions like buildings that were "under construction" in Sun/Moon, are now Picture Clubs or Surf Shacks in Ultra Sun.Moon. The Mantine surfing is also fun, to a certain degree, though it is hard to unlock new moves for higher scores. Overall, I do not like the game, but I do not dislike it either. I would, however, recommend it to someone that has not played the original Sun/Moon games, or to someone that really loves the franchise.

This is 100% playable on a North American n3ds. World editions are essentially the same as the NA cartridge editions, just with additional language support for south East Asian places that also sometimes speak English like the Philippines, Vietnam and so on. This is not a reproduction or a fake. Being that these aren’t the region specific versions which collectors favor and pay twice as much for. I get the game at a steal price, essentially the same price as release…. So win…The game plays well so far, no issues. It was all factory sealed, which I expected it to be “used” or something considering the time gap between release and now. That I loved. I've already reviewed ultra sun. I'm personally not gonna repeat the same review. It's Pokemon. The two games are the same with different featured Pokemon and elements. The product itself arrived safely, within a reasonable time frame and as advertised, it works.
