Pony Jorgensen Woodworkers Vice
The standard Pony woodworker’s vice is fit for both light and medium duty applications. Featuring double guide bars, continuous screw action, a solid steel dog, and countersunk jaw holes for wood facing attachments. It is designed to mount to the face of wood work benches. The top edges of the jaws are typically brought flush with the bench top. It will mount to the face of any wood work bench but some work benches may need to be modified by morticing out part of the bench face or adding wood shims to allow jaws to be flush with the bench top. The jaws have drilled holes for attachment of wood facings which allows you to protect your work (wood faces not included). The front jaw features a solid steel dog in the front jaw which, when used in conjunction with a bench stop, allows oversized work to be held securely on the bench top. The vice operates smoothly with Acme thread main screw and twin guide bars of plated steel. Features a 175mm (7") jaw width and 200mm (8") maximum opening capacity. Its a cool vacuum works great . I love that theres no annoying cords in the way and you get a work out with this vacuum plus I save on my electric Bill . Its a win win plus you cant beat the price

Received the unit without any included invoice or manual. The jaws do not meet flush at the bottom without a great amount of force. I returned two units of another brand because they did not close flush at all at the bottom. I came to this site to find help - none. Seems you have to log in to an account to get help even before you purchase. The "marketing" email does not work. Looks like support is pretty scarce. The less than 2 min video is pretty much useless. I may be an advanced DIYer, but I still like manuals. I searched for a manual and came up empty. BTW - purchased from Amazon.

I had a woodworker's vice that had been passed down to me. The nut mechanixm was worn and not functioning propertly. I emailed Jorgenson asking for replacement part information. They sent me a new replacement part was which much appreciated at no cost. I used to work in product evaluation for a medium sized company, we worked on the moto that any product is only as good as the service the company provides when there are problems. Appreciated the service!!!

This is my "Covid vise" that I picked up in October of 2020 to bring my woodworking hobby to the next level. It was a helpful tool that unfortunately stopped working in July of 2022 after occasional use (not more than weekly). It appears that the acme thread is significantly harder than the vise, such that the internal threads on the rear jaw of the vise have been stripped such that the vise no longer opens or closes.I'm still waiting to hear back from the warranty department (warranty ticket submitted over ten business days ago -- with no response to date). The vise carries a "limited lifetime warranty" though no details are readily available.As it stands the vise is decent. Given the other reviews I've read this seems to be an anomaly so I think I would still ... I'm getting started in woodworking and was looking for a good quality vise at a price that won't break the bank. This checked the boxes, easy to install and use. The steel dog has been handy when planing boards. Happy with the purchase
This is exactly what I needed. I have hard wood floors and runners and my vacuum is too powerful to clean the runners, even on low speed. This sweeper does a great job cleaning the runners. It comes with a "comb" to clean the hair out but is not really helpful.
Purchased past winter renovating workshop. Have used the smaller pony vise for several years in the past. The new vise is in the community shop.
Meets expectations. Solid unit. Easy installation with some workbench modifications.
Have used this vice as a replacement for an older Record Bench Vice that is no longer made. Without a doubt its the best option. Many cheaper vices are available but not a single one has the integrity and utility of this great vice. Something about the Pony "Orange" that says all is well in the shop.
This is my second Pony 27091 vise - to me they are the perfect vise for puttering and small holding jobs. I make wood pens and use the 27091 exclusively for assembly. So one vise in shop and one in house. I have levered these vises far more then recommended, with no failures. A great product for the money.
