Power Pro Braid 10lb 150yds Yellow
PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line is not affected by saltwater, UV rays, or most chemicals and solvents. The life of PowerPro line is much longer than monofilament lines (as a rule of thumb, it lasts five times the life of monofilament line). In fact, depending on how much and where you fish, PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line could last two to three fishing seasons or longer. With PowerPro, you have more fish in the boat, and less bait lost – you’ll find that you’re actually money ahead. PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line is composed of polyethylene, a very slick plastic. In fact, the only material that is slicker than Spectra, is Teflon. Spectra, combined with PowerPro's Enhanced Body Technology, makes a rounder and smoother line, which is gentler on rod guides than the older style braids. PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line has a specific gravity of 0.98 g/cc – just a hair lighter than water. Unlike heavier nylon and Dacron lines that sink, PowerPro will tend to stay at the surface. This means that you’ll get faster control of your fish after a strike with less belly in the line.

DEFINITELY get this spooled up on your spinning reels by a pro or with a spinning reel spooler kit. Otherwise you will only suffer your way through knot after endless knot. Even after getting it professionally spooled it’s smart to throw a 1/2oz sinker on the end and let it unspool in the water while you paddle your canoe/motor your boat a good hundred yards or so then slowly reel it in. This gets the wiry bends out of it and softens up the braid. If I don’t do this after every time I spoil my reels up, I get at least a few knots through the day. Great durability UNLESS there’s a knot in your line that’s in the water, then if you pull too hard it’ll snap. So always take care of the knots in your line. Also ADD SOME “REEL SNOT” TO YOUR SPOOL! PS- I see a lot of younger fisherman putting the rainbow braids onto their reels for regular everyday fishing.. DO NOT DO THIS. Rainbow is for depth fishing and trolling. It’s too bright and easily visible, fish will not hit near as often as they would for moss green/whichever color braid blends with the water you’re fishing in.

I bought 65lb power pro to fill my salmon trolling reel . Really a good quality braid. Very happy with it. Also really impressed with cabelas customer service. I had some trouble ordering & the lady in customer service stepped up & made the deal happen I highly recommend both , line & cabelas.

Honestly I have never used a better braid. I’ve tried them all and Power Pro cannot he beat, and it’s not even the most expensive. Zero memory, super smooth, extremely abrasion resistant. I just wish they made it in a light blue color for clear water. For that I go to Daiwa J Braid.Moss Green with a Flouro leader can’t be beat in almost every situation.I replace my line once a year, and that’s fishing over 200 days per year and never had a failure. I even spool the used end onto another reel exposing the fresh end for another season. Absolutely fantastic line.

Bought a new rod and reel today. They were out of my regular line so I tried this one out. Got the reel spooled up and took it to the water to dial in the tension and brakes. Pulling a half ounce buzz bait in open water. No snags or anything, just open water. Fifty or so casts in I get my first birds nest. Buzz bait and about twenty yards of line go flying across the water. This stuff is hot garbage.
I purchased Power Pro 20 lb high visibility line so I could rig up my spinning reel for bass fishing Wacky Worm style. The purpose of the high visibility is to be able to see my line moving when I get a strike. Great definitely going to help me catch more bass because it's very easy to spot in the water any movement also very strong for pulling those bass out and away from the weeds. Highly recommended if you're going to be fishing Wacky Worm Style
Just a little over three years ago, I made the switch from monofilament to Power Pro’s braid. One of my first experiences using Power Pro was when 10 LB braid hauled in a massive, 8-foot log in the strong current of a stream. I was astounded at its strength, and this served as an indicator of how it would perform over the next few years. The sensitivity with this braid is unbelievable. You will be able to feel every bite, every rock, every weed, and every time you touch the bottom. Additionally, the No-stretch allows you to instantly set the hook on fish, giving them no wiggle room and providing an instant-action feel that is awesome.Over my three years of using PowerPro, I can only remember twice when a fish broke me off. That is incredible considering how many fish I’ve successfully caught in that time frame. With other types of line, I can’t imagine how many fish I would’ve lost. This stuff is the standard for a reason. It’s high quality and its strength is unmatched. I’ll likely stick with it for life. 10/10.
I've been using this line for 5 or 6 years now on both spinning and bait casting reels in 10, 15, 20, 30, and 50 lb. test in freshwater and saltwater and I really like it. It's very visible to fish and has no stretch so I always use a mono or floro leader or a 15 to 20 ft. shock tippet for big fish. the only down side is I've had to learn some new knots as the knots I used for years with mono will slip with braid. Lots of info on the internet.
PowerPro Spectra Braid - Moss Green - 300 yds - 20lb ... Hey where i come from this line works , OMG You can't beat this ... I even put this on a Davey Gravey Zebco Bullet ... 100% True Story ! .... My Shimano Curado 200XG with high speed bearings , frankly get's 1st class treatment and PowerPro is on this girl .... Do the research , check it out ....Then get your '' BUTT '' over to Karl's and get a great deal ! ... MUST HAVE >> REAL DEAL HERE ! ... Tell them i sent yea !
So I have been switching some fishing lines over from momo to braid. I have tried afew brands but I got hooked on Power Pro Spectra for couple of reasons;1 It cast farther than anything else.2 It comes in a few colors red blue and green3 Its mends nicely when float fishing4 The brighter colors are more visable while the green is least visible.5 The price is reasonable.Totallly satisfied with this product.
I read some these reviews and some people just dont realize this line isnt meant for bait casters. its to thin. Thats why you see pro bass fisherman use 50Lb braid when they dont have to. Its thicker and it does'nt backlash like that thin stuff does. This stuff works great for spinning reels.
