Known by many as a pretty solid all-rounder braid, Power Pro is a mid-level braid suitable for use in both fresh and saltwater environments. It's a fairly tough 4 carrier braid with great knot tying ability due to its slight lumpiness through the weave. What the box says Power Pro's Enhanced Body Technology (EBT) makes Power Pro the roundest, smoothest casting, easiest to use superline on the market, period. Unequalled sensitivity and hook setting power let you feel the smallest strike and set the hook with confidence. It works great on both conventional reels and spinning reels. Power Pro's superior structural integrity reduces the occurrence of wind knots which means you will spend less time dealing with backlashes and guide tangles and more time fishing. PowerPro also has near zero stretch for the ultimate in sensitivity while retaining no memory. It's been marketed really well in the past and as such made a name for itself, but comparing it to braids designed since it's definitely somewhere in the middle not at the top. It casts okay and ties knots well. It's not the smoothest braid by any means so it will wear quicker than other braids. There are definitely better options available at both this price and higher prices.
