Today I am reviewing a new rendition of my favorite Prada perfume - the Paradoxe Intense! Housed within the familiar triangular flacon inspired by the Prada logo, Paradoxe Intense brings the signature scent to a whole new level of paradoxical intensity. Here we find the familiar fragrance notes of the original Paradoxe, only now presented with a renewed intensification of florality, sensuality, and vibrance. The color of the liquid itself is a deeper, more saturated shade of pink in further contrast with the black cap and Prada coat of arms. I enjoyed this fragrance very much as I sprayed it along my arms, completely enveloped by its Ambrofix spell. Of course, there is the slight worry of having too much of a good thing when it comes to this perfume. In my opinion, the original is the perfect olfactory embodiment of the aspirational Prada woman. Paradoxe Intense is much of the same magic, just overflowing and easier to overindulge on. I noticed this fragrance to land a bit heavier on the ambery moss qualities, evoking a more emboldened persona. While I prefer the quieter signature scent over its more audacious cousin, I must appreciate the delicate craftsmanship that went into developing and balancing the various infusions, notes, and accords. Brilliant!

Paradoxe Intense is a floral, ambery fragrance with a woody inflection. It is very similar in body to the original, but more ambery and intense. I initially thought I preferred the original, but I actually am starting to think I like this more. It’s a truly enigmatic fragrance. With notes that are so light and delicate, yet intensified in a beautiful and unique way, it is truly a fragrance that auras strength and femininity. The note profile is a sweet, powerful, and seductive combination of jasmine, amber accord, and moss. It has a long lasting sweetness to it. After a day of wear, I can still catch this on myself. It is definitely a beautiful scent worthy of a spot in any fragrance collector’s collection.

This is my absolute favourite fragrance atm. It is something else. The top is pretty and floral and feminine but underneath is something deep and sexy and they just team up to make the perfect fragrance. It comes in this unique triangle bottle, which sits on one side. And the perfume itself is a deep pink. If you've smelt the original prada paradoxe, this is quite different. Although the pretry scent is still there, it is stronger and more sensual. Top notes: Bergamot essence, Neroli buds, Pear accord Heart notes: Neroli essence, Jasmine super infusion, Moss Accord Base Notes: Amber accord, Vanilla infusion, White musk accord

I totally agree with the majority of reviews stating that the dry down is where it’s at with this one. I wasn’t a huge fan initially, but as time went on, i found myself enveloped by this gorgeous addictive cloud of sweet vanilla and what i would have sworn to be orange blossom but apparently not. This is such a beautiful perfume. I’d wear this on a picnic date or easter brunch comes to mind for some reason. It’s honestly too pretty to be my signature, but for the girly girls out there, this is so worthy! Longevity and projection are fantastic, two spritz and your scent trail will most definitely be turning heads. I smell no resemblance whatsoever to BR540, Cloud, or Good Girl as some other reviews have mentioned. This is hands down the most complimented scent on my entire collection of 30+ fragrances. You can’t miss having this in your collection! The intense version lasts over 10+ hours on my skin with a few sprays, and one spritz in my hair has me getting wafts while I’m in bed at night. This fragrance is alluring, sexy, and sweet without being juvenile. Its opening is warm and floral, but fresh. It’s not cloying and even has a bit of a fruity note. It dries down to this beautiful warm vanilla; a little ambery and powdery even! It’s a strong fragrance and compliment getter, you’ll have a trail behind you every time you wear it!

Omggg this scent is ADDICTIVE meaning I can’t stop thinking about how badly I need to purchase this after spraying it on myself in Sephora! It’s intoxicating and beautiful. It smells like exactly what I have been looking for in the perfect fragrance. The original to me smells like popsicles and candy. I really liked it too. But the INTENSE OMGGG. Its more floral and has this intoxicating quality. I feel it smells like flowers, popsicles, and laundry.. which is a heavenly combination 😝 I am most definitely going to buy it. It’s very long lasting too I could smell it on myself for the rest of the day and I only sprayed once on my chest/neck and once on my wrist. And I can still smell it on my jacket the next day. Reminding me of why I need to buy it immediately!!

It may be my body chemistry but within 10-30 minutes the sweet smell quickly dissipates and I'm left with an earthy, musky smell that stays for several hours. As someone who loves sweet tones, this is disappointing but the longevity of the perfume is about the best I've ever had in my life. If Prada could've maintained the longevity of the mixture you experience when first applied, i would be obsessed with this EDP. Now, my sister loves this scent. She loves the long lasting musk tones that I don't hate but definitely don't love. I've smelled far worse and I think once I experience the euphoria of my desired fragrance when this is first applied, only for it to fade fast, this makes me dislike the musky earth notes that become more prominent as my desired smell fades away even more...I found myself wanting the sweet smell back! But all in all, it isn't a bad aroma. It's just not my desired one. Saying this, I give mad props to Prada for longevity. For approximately 2 weeks I applied 1-2 sprays daily. I did as the Prada website said and applied it to the backs of my knees and the bends of my arms and didn't rub it because it will cause it to breakdown and wear off quicker. I also at times applied it to my wrists and neck area and it did fade a lot quicker so for longer lasting scent do as Prada recommends and you'll easily get hours more of smelling delicious! It does not take much of this product at all. I applied usually 1 spray and it was enough. Sometimes I did 2 but more than 2 sprays and it'll be too much. The fragrance dies down and absorbs quickly. The initial fragrance smells amazing and most people immediately complimented me. That faded on me within 10-30 minutes but I still got complements despite it shifting tones to a more musky note. Now, along with excellent longevity, Prada killed it with the intensity of this scent. As a nurse, it is hard to find fragrances that I can wear to work daily due to people having sensitivities to smells. This perfume is so soft, yet still fragrant, that I can wear it to work without it being overwhelming and I still get compliments. This is a big factor for me when deciding on fragrances because intensity is usually a key factor most brands can just not get right and Prada has got it right with their Paradoxe Intense. Add to the perfect intensity that the longevity is about 6-8 hours and those factors alone are enough for me to be sold on it because it's hard to find good quality fragrances that last all day. It depends on my level of activity and where I apply it, but most days I got 6-8 hours of wear with this product. Prior to this, I average 3 hours max longevity on most fragrances. It's so hard to find one that even is fragrant enough to smell or one that lasts past 2-3 hours that I don't buy perfumes much anymore. So this window of longevity by Prada blew my mind and made me fall in love with this scent even if it isn't the sweet tones I prefer. It's worth the money just because it does its job and it is good quality!! And finally before I leave y'all confused even more (LOL) one last oddity is how versatile this scent is on me because I've never experienced anything like it. I'm not even saying, it's a bad thing, it's just odd and different. This fragrance varied on me from day to day. I could wear it today and tomorrow it would smell completely different. It also does this on my mother, I don't know why. Maybe it's our body chemistry? I've just never experienced such a variation in a perfume from day to day and it is exciting because you don't know what to expect. Maybe it's due to all the different notes and tones or the newer musk molecules and new amber molecules being implemented into this product and they breakdown differently than older versions? I don't know but it's it bad. Just different. But it's because of this variation that its hard for me to explain it clearly and concisely but I hope I conveyed my experience with it. I'll end with this: I don't love musky earth scents most times but this product is so well made and is so delicate yet strong enough to last all day and the price isn't bad for the amount...despite it not being my favorite type of fragrance I would still purchase this due to it's different and very well made in all aspects. Prada gained a fan with this and I'm hard to please with fragrances. They even won me over with a scent I'm not crazy about but it's so unique and feminine and light yet bold...if you're torn, buy it. I may splurge for the first time in a decade and try the original Paradoxe by Prada. It's worth the money and it surpasses other competitors brands due to its longevity and perfect intensity which is hard to get exactly right for most fragrances. It's also reasonably priced for the quality and amount. If you want a designer fragrance, try this one first. You won't be disappointed. Surprised a tad confused maybe, but not disappointed.

The top notes are: Pear, Neroli, Bergamot. The middle notes are: Moss, Jasmine, Neroli Essence. The base notes are: Bourbon Vanilla, Vanilla, Ambrofix, Amber, Serenolide. The floral amber notes really are at the forefront of this fragrance, but with the vanilla notes, it just all comes together in this beautiful, feminine fragrance. I can't recommend this fragrance enough! If you love the original Paradoxe, you'll absolutely adore Paradoxe Intense! I feel like I am a bit selective when choosing fragrances, especially given the high cost of so many out there. Most seem to have either a musky or powdery undertone that I dislike, even when the notes sound appealing to me. I usually prefer floral and citrusy scents, and was very pleasantly surprised to find a new scent that I love. This fragrance is said to have notes of Jasmine flower, Amber accord and moss accord. I am not really familiar with the differences in the scents but I definitely smell a strong floral with a spicy afternote. It's definitely a very elegant scent, might be more suitable for an evening out rather than everyday, mostly due to its intensity. The bottle shape is very sleek and true to its logo, but I am a bit paranoid it may leak because the opening is tilted at an angle. I also like the fact that it is refillable, and the refill is more cost effective than purchasing a second bottle. Overall, this is definitely a scent worth splurging on. I am very grateful to try it, and will probably buy the refill once this gets empty.
