My Siamese cats love this food. I first tried it when one of my fur babies had a tummy upset and the rice in this blend helped him tolerate the food well until his appetite returned. They have gorgeous, thick and shinty coats and bright eyes. I give them the dry chicken and rice formula as well. Very happy with this food and how my cats love it,

My kitty is very allergic and sensitive to every possible cat food out there! We tried just about all of them, sparing no cost! My sister mentioned Purina, and I read how it is among the best for protein and quality ingredients! My kitty is a senior and needs the extra protein among other needs.Not only did this food make her digestion regular again, but she absolutely loves the taste, and devours it! Thank you so much, I am highly recommending it!

I switched over to the Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice food several years ago after my vet recommended trying it when my cat refused to eat due to an accumulation of bad bacteria in his tummy. We determined that the bad bacteria was a result of either a teeth cleaning he had recently had done at another clinic (they didnāt suction out all the plaque and he swallowed it) or from the boutique wet food I was feeding him at the time. Not only did he eat an entire 3 oz can the same day I brought him home from the vet, but four years later and he is still very enthusiastic to eat every morning and night!I have never had an issue ordering this food from Chewy, the cans are always in date and the quality of the food is never lacking. This is a really nice food. My cats being a little fussy sometimes, donāt care for the gravy recipes as much as the pate varieties. When one of my cats fellill with a kitty cold, I wanted something he would eat and had a lot of moisture to thwart dehydration. Well; I have tried this in the past with other cats and just as before, my little angel loved it. Heās enjoying his food and getting great hydration also.

I had been getting this specific during the summer and my cats loved it, then we moved and one started to have allergy symptoms. I tried different types of foods and looked up the various brands in forums. This brand came up as causing allergies with other pet parents. Perhaps they changed something in it? The 4 stars is because Chewy itself is always fantastic. The 1 less star is having to donate 2 cases of food. Although I am happy to donate to rescues!

He believes that it is so good that he licks his lips and then his whiskers for ages to get every last morsel. I am happy because he likes this food and it is good for his health. During Covid supply shortages, sometimes not available in the small (3-oz.) cans, but usually available in the larger (5.5-oz.) cans, both are fine if you have a refrigerator to store unused food if can larger than portion sizes you serve.At other websites I've seen a few comments that Purina quality has gone downhill, someone's cat likes a certain food for a while but now does not. I think that is possible given Covid impacts on most companies, but I'd like to think they have standards so what goes out the door is consistent, and let's face it, cats like something yesterday, may turn up their nose at it today, and like it again tomorrow. 3 of my 5 cats have had serious issues with this food in the last six months! $3,700 in vet bills. I don't know if it's the gravy or what, and they are on the dry food, too, but they build up an excessive amount of gas in the intestine that appears on the X-ray as a blockage! It takes 4-5 days before they will eat again, and they won't eat the wet food once they are better. Sad, but I want to warn people about this. I've recommended it to others, and I feel terrible! Not sure what could be the issue. Is it one batch of one flavor? Or is it the gravy in all of them? I thought this would be very healthy, but maybe not. I have been so upset over my babies this last week when 2 of the 3 were sick. The 1st one was sick in December, and now I know it's the same thing.

Recently adopted an eight month old female from the streets. She was doing fine until we put her on this food, the formula with rice, rather than the complete essentials without rice. Only did so because pro plan products appear to be frustratingly out of stock very frequently. New kitty immediately started straining to urinate all over the house. Took her to the vet-she had not yet been spayed yet and was in heat, as I said, we found her in the streets, somebodyās dump. The vet said she was probably marking bc of the heat, not a UTIā¦ but gave her an antibiotic shot just in case.
