I bought one of these mainly for use when camping. Though a little more expensive than some others, it looks and feels like good quality and the material feels somewhat thicker than most. It does not leak, has a breather at the top to make pouring easier and comes with a tap inside the cap. After thorough leak testing I bought another.

Tough and well made. Like the included tap and that it can store inside cap so it's not sticking out waiting to be snapped off. The slot in the bung is oddly sized and you need to find something that fits it nicely to be able to unscrew it, else you mash the plastic. Matching the slot on the bung to the shape of the tap would be sensible. The cap on the breather hole is annoying to screw on and off - it's actually easier to loosen the main cap to allow breathing.

It's true, it does carry water. I've travelled thousands of kilometers with it carrying water and the whole time the water remained carried by the can. Not once did the can stop carrying water, except when I reversed into a tree and snapped the tap off. Other than that, the water was carried flawlessly by the can.

These are great, can't see anything wrong with them. They have a filler cap and a breather cap that are both robust and retained when loose. There is a tap that screws in under the filler cap for keeping and works fine when installed, no leaks. The tap projects out but not down so it's not pressed when on a level surface. To install the tap requires removing a small plug that has a very wide slot cut into it and benefits from the use of a tool to tighten and loosen. The plug does come loose and requires safe keeping while the tap is in use. I don't have any such tool and the slot is so wide I wonder what tool is expected. Using a very large screwdriver or some random bit of metal works but depending on what you use can cut into the sides of the slot. Using a very large screwdriver or some random bit of metal works but depending on what you use can cut into the sides of the slot. It's probably worth identifying a tool for the purpose before setting out to prevent this, but that shouldn't be difficult. You could even cut a piece of wood to fit. These are robust quality jerries. I don't know any better ones.
Perfect for the job at hand. I haven't noticed any issues with the screw cap leaking at all and definitely screws up tight with no thread skipping. I don't need the tap but for those who grizzle about the tap not lining up just get a different thickness O ring. I've had to do this with any tap jerry can I've had and get the lever style tap much easy than those silly rotating tap units. Like also that they are 22ltr in capacity.
We absolutely love this product! We drink “Kangan” water & needed to take some with us on holiday. This water container was perfect and kept our water fresh and ready to drink without contaminating it with any nasties! Perfect! We’ll be buying another one for longer trips!
The tap is quite loose when its opening points down and it leaks. To get it tight, I had to scraw it a bit more but then the opening points aside. The tap's open/close is hard to manipulate, no matter how much the tap was tightened, any attempt to manipulate the tap (without using a second hand to support the tap) resulted in rotating the whole tap. that issue could be solved easily if they used a tap of higher quality or one with a handle that rotates around a vertical axle.Using a tap that works the other way from normal taps (clockwise to make the water run) is quite confusing.I expected more than that when buying the most expensive product of its kind
Bought this a month ago for a 4 day trip. The jerry can is great idea, slim, and holds 20 ltrs. When I screwed the tap into the bottom outlet the thread doesn't hold, so every time you try to turn the tap on to get water, the entire unit turns, meaning you have to use 2 hands. One to turn the tap on or off and the other to hold the the entire tap unit to stop it from turning. I'll try plumbing tape on the thread to see if that works.
Disappointed considering these are Australian made. The plastic mould joins where the caps fit and they don’t seal, I have tried softening the plastic with heat and tightening down but they are no good, my camper fits Jerry cans on an angle and I lose 1/3 of the water before I reach camp because the caps don’t seal tight. They would be fine if the Jerry sits upright when full.
I nearly did not buy this one because of other negative reviews. I inspected the product carefully and it looked OK. When I got home I tested it out with water. The lid seals well and the bung was firm. The water carry can is robust and should work well for carrying extra water when we go camping.I am pleased that I chose this product rather than alternatives.
