Purinaone Senior 11+ Dry Cat Food Chicken 800g

Snoop loves this food. Often when i pour out his normal dry food, he’s not fussed and walks away, but he jumps straight into this one, and his coat does feel silkier since using it. He’s an old boy now so deserves treating!

My cat is getting on a bit and is fed a mix of wet & dry food. She gets a bit bored with the same type all the time so we tend to rotate her favourites. She took to the Purina immediately, ate it well and the change didn't seem to cause any upset to her stomach. She hasn't gone off it yet so it is faring well. She has been quite playful lately, whether that is down to the food or not I don't know, but certainly indicates that she is feeling well & has no negative effects, it is nice to see. I think this food will be a regular in her dry food rotation.

I'm reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado.?I don't think this is the best dried food product, but I do think it's good. A few years ago one of my vets actually said that this was the best dried cat food that you can buy from a supermarket. I wasn't sure if that was still the case, as I believe the recipe has changed and because there are a lot more quality dried biscuits available now, so I asked my vet to check it on a recent visit. My vet still thinks that this is a decent dried biscuit for cats. I tend to give my cats a variety of foods that includes Purina, and this particular biscuit is their favourite. It would be nice to have other flavours available, as I think my guys would get bored if they only ever had chicken biscuits to eat.

Exactly what I needed.

My 14 year old cat has Chronic Kidney Disease and it is important that not only does she have age appropriate food in terms of keeping her phosphate and protein levels down but also something that she likes and will eat. I use both the dry food - leaving it down for her to pick at when she is hungry - and the wet food when she has her medicine. She eats both and often asks for more. As she is also prone to vomiting I find the Purina products easy for her to ingest and, unlike some other brands, do not upset her tummy. Thank you, Purina, for easing some of my worries about her.

Happy cats

We were asked to review this cat food and out two very fussy cats are loving it. Its cheaper than our usual grain free James Wellbeloved or Almo Nature, but we buy these as both cats (Mother & Son) have continuous skin problems all their lives. Weve found that using high quality hypoallergenic food as recommended by our vets has cut down repeated trips to the vets and saved us money. Time will tell if their skin reacts and also will keep any eye on their weight as the Mum has put in weight in her dotage and this food says its good for older cats to avoid excessive weight loss. If it makes them fatter we will have to change back! Although pleased its suited to 11+ cats, a star deducted for the higher grain content which can trigger the skin problems.

High on carbs, worst end of cat dry food

Was sent this for review. This is the worst end of dry cat food. Second highest ingredient is wholegrain wheat at 15 percent. Based on the composition listed, almost 40 percent is carbs. Cats main diet is protein, this amount of carb is not normal diet and is not good for their health. Odd that none of the ingredients and composition is listed on Ocado and the product is not on manufacturers site so the only details are on the pack. There are a lot of much better options for cat dry food.

No information on pack about phosphorus content

I was pleased to be sent this for review as we have a 14 year old cat, Merlin, and there seem to be few foods specifically for his age group. However, I am concerned that, unlike any other brand of ?senior? cat food I know of, this one has no information on the pack about the phosphorus content. I know from experience that older cats are more prone to renal problems so should have food with a low phosphorus content. No only is there no phosphorus content info on the pack, I have been unable to find any anywhere else, including on the Purina website. I am therefore waiting until this info is available before deciding whether to give any of this food to Merlin

Proven to be the best food option for my cats

I provide a warm dry safe and comfortable home for mostly elderly cats when they have lost their existing homes. Nutrition is a vital part of their welfare and this food has proven to be the most suitable. Elderly cats have specific dietary and medical needs and this food has made it easy and convenient to cater to them. I presently am providing a forever home to six elderly cats and it's so much easier to have a simple feeding solution to suit all of them. The love and happiness coming back from them tells me I am doing something right. I know it's a lot of work but they deserve to live out their days in a contented happiness.

Purrfect

I have two beautiful girls. Both are getting older now and I can this this in their coat and their eyes. They have been on the Purina One Senior 11+ for a couple of months now and I can honestly say I wish I had of tried this earlier. Both have a bit more of a spring in their step their coats are softer shinier and just generally look and feel much better. They love this food and it has improved a number of things in both of my girls. One is extremely fussy with food but she loves this. Like I say wish I had of tried this food earlier.

Review of Purina One 800g Senior Cat Biscuits

Both my cats like it . It is easy to store. In summer it doesn’t get flies .I leave it on a tray in a bowl with water.I try to give wet food as well,They only like fish but dried food they just like ,My son who’s a vet says that I should measure it but I don’t this means that they don’t fight .They’re is no waste as with wet food that I still give and give the residue to hedgehogsAlso 2 strays that come in to steal love it ?
