Expired. Anything 2 to 3 months before the expiration date makes the bars taste rotten and they turn hard as a rock. Unless the expiration date is months away steer clear.
I've tried a lot of quest bar, but I understand that they changed the recipe and this ones should be softer in texture which is good because for me they were very chewy. Use to eat then only after worming then up and then the chocolate chunks melts and all the flavors are much more satisfying. Calorie wise- best bars out there. Low calorie low carb high protein and fiber. They came in a good condition with the package so can't wait to try this overall love this company.

The texture of these bars isn't the same as the basic cookie dough flavor. The bars I ate were quite hard inside. The chocolate coating was good. The bars were smaller than the regular Quest ones. The amount of protein per bar was reasonable.
Most of Quest protein food item are absolutely delicious. They don't tast funny. This is my favorite protein bar because of the chocolate dip layer.
tried pretty much everything made by Quest. so far, this one takes the cake. really good taste and texture, great macros and decent size.
