I ADORE this game. It’s most definitely my favorite board game of just simply entertainment game. Strategy is key and my family always gets annoyed because I thoughtfully take my time when it my turn to make sure whatever move I make gets me the most points. You definitely use your brain a little t which is great mental stimulation. If I could play this game everyday I would.

Exciting and challenging due to the strategizing.

The product arrived in great condition. The tiles are nice and heavy. This is the reason that I sought out an older version of the game in EBay. The current editions being sold by retailers, have tiles that are at least 1/3 thinner. This games is so addictive. Such an entertaining game. I highly recommend it to people of all ages.

Fun game and great company to work with

We enjoy this game very much. We are 70. We also have played it with our grandchildren ages 7 and 10 and also bought a game for our adult children. There is strategy, so it makes you think. There are not too many rules. Fun and fairly quick, maybe an hour of playing. We don't have an issue seeing the colors as mentioned in one of the reviews, except if it is really sunny or dark. This company is the best to work with, as getting a replacement piece and a replacement bag was painless.

Fun game but disappointing tile quality
2 January 2023

Fun game and educational for youngsters. Very disappointed in poor tile quality. Just beyond the "100% Happiness Guarantee", colors were very faded, some times were cracking and chipped. Our game was played by adults and not abused in any way. Also, the included bag was about half the size you'll need to mix your tiles. You can save some money by buying Rummikub, a very similar game with much better quality tiles.

Great game
30 December 2023

Really love this game! However, the black background makes it difficult to see the colors and shapes for people with vision problems. My mom has macular degeneration. I'm starting to need readers and my son who's always had glasses struggled too. It would be great if the background was whiteThank you

Great game!
29 October 2024

This strategy game is a huge hit with my family. You can make the game as easy or as hard as you want. My grown kids treat it like poker and try to figure out who has which pieces and they withhold tiles in hopes of others playing theirs. It can get quite intense. On the other hand, when they play with younger nieces and nephews (on the sidelines or as helper) it is a straightforward strategy game that is always fun. The other great thing is that it will never be the same game twice. Highly recommend this game. We also have the card game for travel and it is also a big hit.

Quirkle

Great family game. We have gifted all our adult children with this game. We are seniors and play the game several times a a week, with friendsor just us. Tip: the older men have trouble with color differentiation so I put small stickers on the blue and orange tiles to separate from purple and red. Works great!!

Qwirkle
21 February 2024

I run a monthly board games event and Qwirkle is a favourite game. One of our group is leaving to move away so I bought this game as a goodbye gift as I know it will be well used in her retirement. Its so easy to learn yet every game is different, depending on the tiles the player picks up. It can be played without scoring for a non-competitive game, or scoring if players are feeling more competitive.

Qwirkle is quirky, engaging and fun!
21 February 2024

This game is all strategy! I've played it several times with my grand kids, and my granddaughter always wins. Well, Nana bought her own game to practice with friends and family. And we are all enjoying it! The tiles are well constructed of wood, smoothly painted with glossy black paint so the different shapes and colors show up easily. Scoring takes a little getting used to, but the premise to win is simple!

Significant reduction in quality
25 April 2020

We have played Qwirkle many times before, and absolutely love the game. The playing of the game I would give 5 stars; it's great. But I think buyers should know that Mindware has significantly reduced the quality of, well, everything. Some things are trivial, like a lower quality bag and off-centered shapes. But what really disappoints me is how low-quality the wood and the paint now are. We just bought a new one, and the wood, which they advertise as durable and indeed used to feel weighty and high quality, is now made of essentially junk wood. It is so light it feels like foam. Some of the pieces are already cracking, brand new, as you can see in the picture. Other pieces are getting little chips in the corners after the first game. The paint is of such low quality that it was beginning to chip off after the first game. I can't fault a company for trying to reduce costs, but I believe that should correspond with a reduced price for the consumer. I think consumers need to know that the game is fun, but they've really cheaped out on the new materials. Too bad.
