I find that from time to time it has a tendency to slide out of place laterally and the combination of the rubberized feet and magnets help counteract it to some degree, but it still happens.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Up until now I've used Roccat products for both mice and keyboards but, after many ongoing issues with their software, I can honestly say I won't be looking back. I would say I'm pleasantly surprised but it doesn't really come as a surprise to me. There's a reason so many people use Razer products.

My previous keyboard was a Corsair K70 with Cherry Brown switches that I ruined after I spilled Jollybee gravy into it. They keys are very clicky, similar to Cherry Blue's but with a bit less activation force required. They are definitely louder than the Browns I had before but I kind of like the clickiness. Highly responsive. The lights are customizable through Razor synapse but I don't really use them much. I find that the customization for Corsair is easier to use though. Controls are comparable to my previous keyboard in that it also has volume and media controls. One nice plus for this over the K70 is the easily detachable and plush arm rest. I used a $60 ThermalTake Meka keyboard for 10+ years (black linear mechanical switches) and decided it was time to update my peripherals. I opted for the Huntsman V2 Analog because (1) it has linear switches, which is what I am familiar with, and (2) it seemed to be one of the better keyboards out there with additional functionality thanks to the analog capability. I will say that it took a little getting used to at first, but now I am really loving it. Sure, you can probably save $200 and get a cheaper keyboard that works just fine and probably has decent build quality. The analog switches allow you to customize the actuation point for all of your switches from 1.5mm to 3.6mm which is a big reason why I opted for this keyboard. The Razer Synapse software used to customize the keyboard seems to have good functionality and is easy to use. The RGB is on the dimmer side, but I didn't want a bright and flashy keyboard to begin with. There is one USB 3.0 pass-through port located on the left side. I haven't had any issues with ghosting and I expect this keyboard to last me a long time.Cons: It' is pricy. The analog functionality is heavily advertised but it takes work to implement effectively, not all games support it, and it's difficult to use without bottoming out your keys immediately. You might also experience some trouble using an actual controller with this keyboard plugged in because Windows treats it as an Xbox 360 controller (due to the analog functionality). There are some settings that can be tweaked to get controllers to work while this keyboard is plugged in and Razer Synapse explains how to do this, but it might still take some tinkering to get it set up properly. The point of all this is just to say that, at the moment, the analog functionality is mainly just used to customize your actuation points, not for actual gameplay.
I like this keyboard but I’m not going to swear off other keyboards any time soon. The placement if the volume button is nice and it hangs over the side - which allows easy access. The RGB lighting is well done and the keys have a nice grip to them. My only annoyance is that the keyboard itself prodices a very hollow and echoy sound. So in a quiet room you can hit a key and listen to the echo inside the keyboard. It isn’t so bad to be annoying but it is hard to get used to. I will say that everything this keyboard is and does i have found on other keyboards for less money. So while i am not returning this I would tell a friend to savw their cash and look for smething similar but less expensive.

Returned this keyboard within three days. On day one it was already squeaking while I typed, but thought maybe it just needed to "warm up". The squeaking got worse so I returned it. I owned the V1 Huntsman and gave it away, so I thought I'd like the V2. I also have a few variations of the Black Widow that never gave me trouble. This specific one was terrible. I'd like to think it was just defective, but it felt cheaper and more like plastic than I remember any of the other ones ever being. If it turns out mine was just defective, the price is fair for a functional optical keyboard - if they all squeak its a big waste of money and you should spend $20-30 more for a corsair or logitech optical keeb.
