This shaver is giving me a good close shave. Being mains powered it does not have any battery problem. I bought this shaver as a replacement for a similar make and model which has given me years of service.

Really happy with the feel of the shaver, especially considering the price.Both the pop up trimmer and the 3 pivoting shavers cut really smoothly and well.My gripe is that the pop up trimmer only pops up to around 110 degrees and when using on your face it constanly wants to pop back down again. This is the only 2 in 1 trimmer and shaved I have only that has had this problem. It is annoying but I am sure I will get the hang of it, just with that either the spring was stronger, or that the trimmer opened to a greater angle.

The R2 takes so long to clear my face of hairs it is not only a waste of money - it is a waste of time. Further, the manual says to expect some rashes and sore skin until your face adjusts and/or the shaver wears in. After 1 year with this useless shaver I still have rashes and still have a sore face after every shave. I bought it because batteries wear out faster than the blades and corded is better for the environment and it was at the cheaper end of the options available. But I expect a shave to take < 5 minutes - not 15 minutes! And it refuses to shave certain hairs at all! I've had Remington shavers before and they've been okay. BUT NOT THIS ONE. The brand damage this razor must be doing to Remington's brand must be enormous. Effective and affordable. The only negative is the beard trimmer breaks off after about a year. Holding your hand over it, so it doesn't pop up quickly, may prevent this. I'm on my third one, so will be trying that.
Excellent razor. My first Remington after having had plenty of Braun and Philips which did not give me the same satisfaction than this very affordable corded Remington razor. The only down side; it is made in China like most of appliances nowadays.
I've been using my Remington Lithium Powered Li Rotary shaver for years and it's still give a great shave. I've never had to replace any parts. The blades have remained sharp for SO long. I love my Remington and would recommend a Remington Rotary shaver every time.
Bought this to replace the same model, on which the trimmer had broken, but which had been a great shaver for a few years. The new one doesnt shave nearly as well as the old one and gives a red rash as well. Shame I threw out the old one!
