ResMed Airsense 10 Elite CPAP Machine
The ResMed AirSense 10 Elite, a fixed pressure model, provides one setting of therapy throughout your night's sleep and does not fluctuate from that setting unless a ramp feature is enabled. Ramp is a feature that increases therapy from the minimal amount to the prescribed amount over a period of time to allow you to fall asleep on a lower setting. Fixed pressure devices are the most commonly prescribed devices and your physician establishes this number (i.e. 8cm/h2o) based off of your titration from the sleep lab. In cases where a home sleep test was used and an auto CPAP trialed, he/she may set it based on a compliance report of the median average of therapy needed. Many veteran users of therapy elect to use a fixed setting they have used and are comfortable with (some even elect to forego ramp feature). The AirSense 10 Elite continues the superior quality of therapy device where the S9 Elite left off. Still available in the new model is EPR (expiratory pressure relief) as well as new modification to ramp setting with AutoRamp.

During our lengthy discussion, (about 45 minutes) Daryl was able to help me with the problems I was having with my old CPAP machine. During this time, Daryl let me know that my current machine was nearing 8 years old, well past it's prime. So he suggested and described this machine and answered all my questions I had regarding it's usage and functions. So I decided to purchase this machine and extra filters since my current machine might give me unexpected problems in the future. The machine and filters came earlier then expected. Basic set up was easy. But I noticed that some things Daryl and I discussed and some things I saw in the CPAP.com video about this machine were not visible on the display screen. The representative that I spoke with walked me through the extra set up needed so I would have all the options that Daryl and I discussed. The machine worked flawlessly the first night I used it. In the morning, I removed the pre-loaded SD card and entered it into my laptop using the "OSCAR" app. The info provided from the previous nights use was detailed and should be all I need to present to the doctor who conducts my DOT physical. This type of customer service is why I continue to get my CPAP machines and supplies from CPAP.com. And this is why you should as well!

This bad boy is packed with some seriously advanced technology that automatically adjusts the air pressure to make sure you're getting the most comfortable therapy possible. One of my favorite things about this device is how user-friendly it is. I have only had the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for a week now, so keep that in mind when considering how my experience may match your own. The adjustment period has been considerable so far. As my first experience with CPAP, I'm fairly certain it's not the fault of this specific machine, but I do notice the air pressure is a challenge to get used to.I have also noticed an inconsistency with the ramp-up feature as it usually takes me a while to fall asleep, yet the machine thinks I have done so most nights before I actually have. However, I'm positive the AirSense 10 is a stellar product based on testimonials from friends who have used it for years, and I find the software and hardware both feel high quality.Take this with a grain of salt; I am still adjusting to ... MoreI have only had the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for a week now, so keep that in mind when considering how my experience may match your own. They take your money and care about nothing after that. I am trying to dispute this with my CC company because they don't want to admit they are wrong. They don't want to refund me or give me credit to purchase a machine that will hold my high pressure. THIS MACHINE WILL NOT PUSH A HIGH PREASURE WITHOUT PUSHING WATER INTO THE HOSE AND MAKING THE MOST HORRIFIC HIGH PITCH WHISTLING SOUND! This machine is horrible. I explained that the machine is not working with my pressure and they advised me to ask my doctor to write a "new" prescription for a lower pressure setting. What?! So they know this machine would not be compatible with my pressure setting and sold it to me anyway. I now have to sleep sitting up until I can afford to buy another new one. What a nightmare! Please don't waste your money buying from this company. This has caused me so much anxiety and I feel physically sick and tired all the time now. I should have stayed with Lincare.
I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea 3 months ago. I went to my family physician for an annual checkup and he referred me to a neurologist. 1 month after the referral I finally had an appointment. 2 weeks after that, the Dr. had me return to his office. He then scheduled me for an overnight sleep study in a clinic. 1 Month after that, my insurance said NO, use an in home study. 3 weeks after that I got the test and completed it at home. 3 weeks later I returned to my neurologist to get my results. I had severe sleep apnea. Neurologist then said, I want a sleep study in clinic. 3 weeks after that, my insurance company said NO again that Dr had enough information already. I had severe sleep apnea. Neurologist then said, I want a sleep study in clinic. 3 weeks after that, my insurance company said NO again that Dr had enough information already. I was beyond frustrated at this point and googled cpap machines. LOFTA seemed the best company I could find. Called LOFTA, next day scheduled a video meeting with a Dr. who read my report from my at home sleep study that was completed months ago and prescribed my "miracle machine"! I received it in 3 days, used it for 4 nights, and then had the nicest most patient therapist "Dan" go over my results I uploaded. That was a few days ago. My Apnea went from 60.5 events per hour to 9.4 events after 4 days and now after 8 days, ( I shaved my beard off ) I'm down to 4.7 events per hour and sleep like a baby. What an absolute "miracle" to have support, professional, and knowledgeable people just a phone call away with all the answers to my many questions. Thank you Lofta and Thank you Dan (therapist) for such a positive and effective experience.
