Pros: Easy Install and looks the partCons: keeps disconnecting for no reason which is very annoying, I've done a bit of research into this, and its appears to be a common issue. I find the footage isn't the clearest at night, which was a reason i purchased the unit in the first place. After a month free trial, there is then a costly subscription fee to allow record and save video footage, which i feel is ridiculous as the initial bell and chime wasn't cheap. I wouldn't recommend as a result

Pros: Mostly effective at detecting visitors as long as the most sensitive setting is used which does drain the battery more. Good value for money and worth the slight inconvenience of having to remove device for charging. Good quality video and sound and the ability to change the detection zones.Cons: After rain or cold spells you have to clean camera lens. Battery only lasts 1 to 2 months on most sensitive settings or else some detections missed. Drilling the mount into brickwork found it difficult to get device absolutely level. Have to pay annually to be able to keep videos

Pros: Great product that gives me peace of mind and a sense of security in my own home. Quality video coverage of a wide area. Easy to set up and link to the app on yoyr phone. Very straightforward instructions. Bought at sale price so was a bargain price. Not sure I would have paid full priceCons: The drill bits are no longer included in the box so had to purchase separately. Slightly annoying. At the very least, the instructions could have advised what drill bit was required.

Pros: Very good quality video and live stream. Great to be able to talk to delivery persons or even the neighbours! ?I purchased the dual powered door cam and run it just using the battery. On general use the battery lasted 3 months approx before requiring a recharge. Brilliant bit of kit... Highly recommended.Cons: Nothing really to moan about. Just have a good read of the instructions prior to and during installation. ??

Pros: Really sharp image when in use, fantastic night vision. Connects to devices easily and maintains connection throughout the day. Small and discreet, ideal for speaking to anyone at the door when not at home.Cons: Maybe not as easy to install if you have no tech knowledge however easy enough to get electrician to do so. If signal poor image can take some time to appear on device.

This helps us answer the door when someone rings the doorbell. Our phones are usually on vibrate, so we rarely check everytime the phone vibrates. This allows us to hear the doorbell from anywhere within the house, like a normal doorbell. You can change the chime to different sounds. Easy to set up, plug it in and connect it via the app. Only complaint would be that I'd like the chime to sound longer than it does. You also can't keep pressing the doorbell button to get the chime to sound again. You have to wait for the doorbell to shut off to press it again.

Purchased the Plug In Ring Doorbell during a JLewis promotionWanted a bell for the kitchen areaIt can be programmed for Rings & Motions sounds/ volume adjustmentIt has a small blue led warning light that can be switched off.Device Health showing signal strength & wifi connectionAlso it has a snooze function so it is possible to put on mute for a set timeAlthough the notifications come through on a mobile phone, this is a back up, as sometimes a mobile phone is not available.

Ok so they are good but they do have few issuesThe camera seems to have fits and starts, so whole chunks of recording missingI bought this for several reasons one being to monitor my Autistic daughter in case she goes out the door but it is Not 100% on picking up on movementAlso the extra doorbell speaker which is sold based on being able to put it somewhere/anywhere in your house, has a Very limited WiFi connection rangeSo does Not "Go Anywhere"

Pros: Looks good and the nightlight is great for the hallwayCons: Ability to improve WiFi strength is disappointing. Located it close to the front door and doorbell ie hallway, less than 3 feet away but didn’t improve the WiFi signal greatly, it upped a few points only. Router is only in the lounge approx 9 feet away. Signal is still considered “critical” so feel like I’ve wasted my money. They blame it on bricks, insulation and walls being in the way! Well that’s a problem isn’t it? most houses have them things! Feel robbed slightly.

wi-if connectivity
28 December 2022

Poor wi-fi connectivity. I'm not a fan of Wi-Fi and I do understand why it's popular. I bought the Chime Pro hoping for better wi-fi connectivity I was disappointed. The suggestion to move the Chime or Router closer too each isn't always possible. I went to a lot of work to get it worked. I had extenders setup through out my house with one less than a foot away and still had problems. I finally realized the Ring system perfers a separate 2.4Ghz signal not a blend of the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz as one network. I hope this helps someone.
