Really happy with the Rinnai system. It cools a large, open plan living room/kitchen easily, and the dry mode has been great in the humid weather. I haven’t tried the WiFi/remote connectivity yet, but it could come in handy. That said, the unit cools the space almost instantly. Gone are the days of setting our old unit to 16 and hoping for some relief. We haven’t gone below 22.5 on this one yet.

Have had 4 of these units installed for winter, have worked very well and are super quiet, they heat the rooms very quickly. 1 in particular in our new borns room runs every night, it's practically silent and quieter than the bigger name brand we had installed 2 years ago. Big plus is the remote is back lit which I wish our other brand was too. Very handy that is also works very easily by the app.Our installer said he's had 0 call backs for them, plus it comes with a 5 year warranty.

I bought this AC in October and it's one of the best purchases I have made this year.Extremely efficient. I was concerned it might be too small for the room (equivalent to a mid sized L shaped dining / lounge) but its doing the job handsomely.I read some reviews before buying and there were some concerns about the brightness of the light and noise... The light can be turned off and the unit has a quiet mode (both select able by the remote).

Looks good, quiet and do the job intended very well. The split box outside is next to the BBQ area and so quiet I have to check if it is on. The heat from the outside box is well dispersed and do not affect our comfort close to it. Controls are easy and the hidden panel ensure that the most important functions is at hand late at night. i love the fact that the temperature and indicator lights can be dimmed to ensure the room stays dark at night.
Installed 2x units for the bedrooms. Both bedrooms are 10sqm's each and are easily cooled down on low fan during the day (even on a 40+ degree day) and quiet fan at night. The quiet fan is super quiet and great for sleeping. I usually set the cooling temperatue between 24-25 degrees. I often find my separate temperatue unit measures the room temperature as low as 21-22 degrees when the air con is set to 24-25 degrees. The temperate light on the AC unit can be turned off at night, which is great. I've also set the horizontal lourves to blow the cool air away from my WFH desk so as to not be too cold. These have been great additions to the main 7.1kw split system AC which adequatly covers the open plan living arears, however was less effective at cooling the bedrooms. ... MoreInstalled 2x units for the bedrooms. Best priced air conditioning units, low noiseHave noticed some comments no quite mode, this is incorrect inside remote is quite mode, light temperature display is to bright, this can be turned off again from the inside menu on the remoteWish people would read the instructions first
Its noisy, the is no quite mode or very low fan speed option. The temp light behind the panel, lights up my bedroom at night and keeps me awake. Not recommended for a bedroom but for other rooms no worries works well. Simple and cheap.
I bought it earlier this year and after the first month of using it consistently makes a high pitched noise when turned on. Very disappointing unfortunately. The remote is good though.
This is the third 25kw Rinnai air-con that we have bought from Harvey Norman and we wouldn't have any other. They are very quiet, power efficient (which is extremely important right now) and easy to operate. We have them in three of our bedrooms and it is like the sound of gentle rain on the roof. We sleep very well every night. When our twenty year old (other brand) large unit for the main living area of the house dies we will replace it with another larger Rinnai.
One remotes battery cover had to be pried open.Provided universal remotes dont work with one of the units making operation impossible.Adjusting the swinging is a nightmare. You cant adjust the swinging until the unit has warmed up if on heat mode. This brand is absolutely terrible. Go with something that is proven if you dont want headaches.
