I'm 290 and jumped on it to roll down the street lol. Then I loaded it with gear and it was perfect. Now....it holds heavy weight....but don't forget you have to push that heavy weight. I had a slight hill and I was like oooooooh boy. It rolled, but I had that thing STACKED!! So keep that in mind. Flat land, you're good. The only way to make this cart better is to add some type of electric motor to help move it move up a hill once it's loaded. Other than that, it's golden.

Wow, I don’t know what my brain was thinking in waiting so long to purchase this cart. I owned a lighter Rock n Roller in the mid 2000’s before my not so smart young self overloaded it and broke it so yeah it took me 15 years to finally get a new Rock n Roller but I was using a mini dolly in the meantime.Now it’s only 1 or 2 trips at the most for events and it saves me so much time. I also am smarter than 15 years ago and won’t dare to overload it past 500lbs!

I did a lot of research within the rocknroller product line as well as all the other brands. This one is perfect. I haul QSC speakers, my guitar amp, pedal boards, sound system mixer, equipment cases,...one trip. The big wheels do matter. This makes load in/out quite a bit easier.

The R8 is rated for 500lbs, and the card can handle it but the wheels wear out very fast, and cant navigate bumps. This handles bumps like a champ because the swivel wheels are about twice as tall and almost twice as wide as the r8. The back wheels are substantially wider an larger diameter as well. There are subtle design changes in the cart too and it bottoms out less when taking it up a step compared to the R8. Glad I did not get the R16 or R18. This is the most capable overall IMH. Also highly recomended is the grip n gaff v2 bag. No support needed for it, and you can put the shelves on while using it. I also used the spider bungee from rck n rllr and its great. Its doesnt make a huge difference but its enough to keep some things on the cart that would have ... The pull cable should have a handle so crew and airport folk know its supposed to be grabbed. The opening and closing of this design is genius but not intuitive. nobody collapses it correctly unless they are very familiar and there are no instructions printed. The decals and grip tape are flimsy and fall off. The grip tape wont even stick down while its new. It rattles a lot while in motion. The screws to hold the shelving are a really slopy design. They should just have a bar going across the vertical brackets that allows the shelves to drop down onto the bars with little brackets and then stick a locking pin in there. Putting the shelving on by ones self is hard, and this cart is especially useful for people working individually. The tires are great that they are no-flat but they still feel cheap and plastic compared to other no flats that resemble rubber. Would love brakes on all four wheels. Would love this to use titanium to be lighter. Would love this cart to resemble german engineering instead of this very crude cheap engineering. RCK N RLLR you should look at designs by Thule or higher a designer with a lot of style. Even Thules stroller. Make this more intuitive, beautiful, and less clunky/clanky. For instance, if you have shelves structurally resting on THREADED bolts, if you have to turn bolds to nuts 4-20 times and risk loosing parts in the process, thats just super lazy design. up your game guys! You have a great product, its time to evolve it!
I was excited to get this cart. I ordered it a few days prior to a large video production. I received the cart, installed the first wheel with no issues and then went to install the second wheel and noticed I couldn't insert it into the frame of the unit because the frame was bent. How did this unit make it beyond any quality control??Then I messaged B&H to send a replacement and they asked me to return the first unit, which I would've happily done but installing the wheels requires a pin to lock into place... and that's not at all easy to remove once I had bent it into place for the first wheel... thus not allowing me to get the first wheel off and everything back into the box.Here I am a month after all of this with a defective cart that I can't use and no ... Electrical, lights, stands, cameras, sandbags topped with an 8' roll of seamless - as primarily a solo shooter, this would have taken trip after trip to bring into the venue, but not this time. I was able to bring all of this in one trip, saving time and energy. The RocknRoller can do many things, but the best is being a One-Trip Pony.

The extra money for the All Terrain model gives you really nice big tires. They are actual bearings inside the large back tires, which are user replaceable. The weight distribution is better on the All-Terrain because the tires stick out wider than that of some of the other RocknRoller's. I've used several other carts in their line, and they all work pretty well. This one however, can move easily across uneven surfaces, grass, and dirt. The cart btw, comes shipped in a very durable box. You have to assemble the wheels onto it, but it survived the shipment from B&H extremely well.Those things to take into ... Those cost 5x to 7X more.This cart is wonderful for what it can do. I use it for heavy loads of lighting, grip and camera gear. At taking 500 lbs max load, you could carry most of a band stage setup, or really anything take requires multiple heavy cases.The cart can easily be expanded in length, and can be configured with various accessories. I understand the pain of attaching shelf units tothis. Although I've only ready about them, people have had trouble doing so, and there is a higher degree of fumbling around to get them on and off. However, I have used a tripod bag on the handles and that accessories works wonder for tripods, micpoles and light stands. It will be my next purchase.Because of the expandable design, don't overlook bungee cords to tie cases down. It is important not to hurt your gear and other people's property. However, be aware that one of the reasons RocknRoller sells their own, is that they have the proper sized hooks to attach to the tubular steel frame. If buying locally, I would make sure they fit well.You can replace parts easily from the company, and if you use this cart daily, thinking it will replace a converted magliner, expect to have a shorter life span from it, or expect to replace some parts from time to time. Like I said, the cart is great, for the money, but it cannot replace a cart that costs over a thousand dollars.One great thing too, about this cart, and other RocknRollers, once collapsed, they can fit vertically behind most minivan and car seats. Because Of this, they are easy to pull out and set up, and are much more compact than carts made for working grip trucks.With all that said, if you have music gear, or tons of photo and video gear, and you have to move it from location to location, especially on rough terrain, this is the cart for you!

The first cart had to be retired so I bought the newer version which is not made as well. I have had it for just over a year and have had the wheel housing bend out of shape twice! The Multicart folks sent me a new wheel with housing and a week after installation that wheel housing bent as well.If you are only doing very light loads, this cart may be ok...for a while. If you are working on documentaries with a professional light weight package don't bother with this cart. It is not reliable and will likely leave you with your gear stranded. And if you give them a chance, they can even do some things a pickup trunk can't.I'd say my two favorite things about this ol' donkey cart are the cost and the expandability. I love that it becomes a giant cart on command. I'd say the worst thing about this cart is the stability of the vertical handles. They have a lot of play, so when you push or pull the cart, the vertical handles move about 2 to 3 before the cart does. If anywhere, this is where the cart feels like a cheap piece of crap. For some people it's no big deal, but if it bothers you a bunch, you can always hit some DIY videos on Youtube and make a stabilizing bar for it. There are a ton of DIY mods for Rock-n-Rollers out there. Some people replace all the hardware right off the bat just to reinforce everything.If there was one thing I wish the Rock-n-Roller cart could do that it cannot do it'd be fast wheel removal. I'd love some quick release wheels so you can pop the wheels off and on quickly for storage. But hey, modern conveniences lead to increased prices. And the best thing about the rock-n-roller is the price.Whatever you decide to do, it's really hard to be angry or disappointed with something that costs so little, but has the potential to literally save your back on gigs. Just be prepared for all the usual pitfalls that come with cheap, rushed manufacturing. And if you prepare yourself by lowering your expectations right off the bat, then this thing will blow you away. Remember... it's a donkey, not a truck.
I have to start by saying that this is the third one I have purchased. They are relatively inexpensive. It is a love/ hate relationship I have with them though. While the basic concept is pretty handy there are significant shortcuts in the construction. Fit and finish is sloppy and more than once some corner or another has drawn blood. My biggest complaint is the rolling resistance. They seem to use some kind of home brew roller bearing but the races seem to be the plastic wheel and a lopped off piece of round steel stock (this one was rusty and then had to be filed down to even get the wheel on). I got the other wheel on but then had to pull it and file it off to just getthe wheel to roll. With a lot of weight on it you will have to really lean into it to push it ... I just try to keep the light stuff on the RR carts and put the heavy stuff on the Magliner.
