Bought this to use with my RODE SVM stereo video mic (condensor) becuase windows was unable to give satisfactory gain to this mic and the noise floor was high. Using the AI-micro the background noise dissapeared, but Windows 10 only allowed gain up to 100%. Even supplementing this with 12dB from VoiceMeeter was insufficient to allow the mic to be placed away from the mouth. Fortunately I've just installed Windows 11 and this has much greater gain on the mic input and it works well from 50cm or so - enough to be out of shot.

I've tried several microphones with lightening interfaces and USB-c to the iPhone and iPad, but they were all affected by great RF interference/noise. This is the first device I've used that is extremely portable/pocketable and delivers what it promised. The software is perhaps a bit buggy, but it does work well after a bit of fiddling.Love it, Love it with Rode and Sennheiser microphones.

Good service received- delivery etc. from videopro. Connection to the phone keeps coming away- also does not allow for phone cases. Be prepared to buy an additional extension cable. I have to tape the cable to the microphone to keep it from falling out. Also noticed cracks/pops in audio- as demonstrated in the attached.

The device is incredibly small and useful, but unfortunately when using an iPad Pro, the mics still can't be increased loud enough even with the app assistance. I have a battery powered cold shoe mounted mic with +10db and that makes it borderline.
I bought an iPad Pro this fall and after using if for a while wondered how I could use it for recording interviews. I pinged Rode asking if I could use the SC6-L with an adapter to connect two microphones. They did not recommend it. Before trying it myself I saw the announcement for the AI-Micro. I pre-ordered as soon as it was available. It came much earlier than expected. I love it. I can use it with my iPad and my phone. All the cables are provided. If you are looking to simplify your interview recording set up, making interviews in remote locations easier that hauling lots of equipment and cables, this is great. Absolultely great. I don't think you'll be disapponted.
This is just what I needed to transfer audio tracks to my iPhone. I use a Boss BR-600 and a BR-1180 for recording, but I do not own a computer so uploading my music to the net has been … interesting to say the least, I use a program on my phone for final mastering and this little device is going to be a major time saver, I just tested it to make sure it would do what I needed and it works great! It is going to take some tweaking to get optimal sound, but it allows me crystal clear recordings from the Boss to my phone, I am so far pleased with the results!! Great little product except for one issue. The product is supposed to support 3.5mm stereo microphones inserted into Input 1 and configured with the Rode Reporter app to STEREO.Unfortunately, there is a bug in the firmware that only one channel is recorded. Powered stereo microphones (that doesn't need plug in power) works correctly via the input 1. Contacted Rode to see if a firmware fix will solve this. Using a cable to breakout the 3.5mm stereo microphones output would seem to be an option, or a battery box that provides plugin power but less elegant. I was hoping to use binaural binaural microphones like the Roland CS-10EM with this thing.
Incredibly useful device for running school tours on Zoom. Our school principal stands far away from me while I'm filming and that could make it hard to hear him over Zoom. Pairing this with a Rode Wireless Go made it so everyone could hear him. I was able to plug in headphones to monitor not only what the principal said but what was being said in the meeting as well.
I haven't had a lot of opportunity to use the Rode AI-Micro but it has worked well when I have used it. I'm running it to a MacBook Pro to allow the use of two microphones for Zoom meetings. The only thing I wish is that the built-in amplifier was a little stronger. My shotgun mic could use a little more volume. Otherwise, it's everything I hoped. It's very small and convenient (especially, considering I was looking at USB mixers).
Basically, this works for connecting 1/8? into your computer or devices. I tested it in my iPhone using lavaliere microphones made by Giant Squid and with a Rode Videomic Go II. The sound was pretty decent, and you are able to make further adjustments to it in the Rode Connect app. I was also able to use the USB C to lightning cable to connect the Rode VideoMic Go II into an iPhone.There are a few things keeping this from five stars. For one thing, the build feels like plastic. I?m not sure if this device is plastic or metal, but it has kind of a plastic feel to me. Second, the headphone monitor seems rather noisy. Also, I?m not a big fan of having to use their app to make adjustments as it then becomes harder to do if not impossible if the company ever stops ...
