Great TV with great features but....

This is an awesome TV. Great features, fast, and decent for the price. The only problem is there customer service sucks. It took them close to two months for them to answer me. When I purchased the TV it came with the wrong legs/screws so I exchanged it. Same thing happened. So I go online and come to find out I'm not the only one with this problem. Long story short I ended up paying another 59.99 $ for a TV stand when I bought a "budget friendly" TV in the first place. It took me a month to be able to even watch the it because of this.

Nice easy setup

I wanted something easy to set up and use. It passed the test except in one area. It has a nice screen and colors and the sound is good much cleaner than my old TV (HOH). I like the simple remote and the fact it understands voice commands. Streaming movies is wonderful. As to the one downside it is the screws that fix the stand, they are the wrong size. They do don’t screw into the TV frame fully and so my set is a bit wobbly. I did write to ROKU but no response. We do not all put our TVs on the wall!

Works great but setup not so smooth

I like the TV; it works great. But setup didn't go as well as I thought it should have. First, the screws for the legs didn't seem to fit right and legs are not as tight as they should be. Secondly, the auto setup process had issues and I had to go to the website and search for the solution. I thought that finding the solution could have been easier than it was. However, the TV works very nicely. We now have four TV's in the house all connected to a ROKU device.

Wow!!! What a selection
13 January 2024

Bought 40 inch Roku TV for replacement in our kitchen. Have three Dish accounts. After playing with Roku for a month I have decided to cancel two Dish accounts and lower the programming on the third one. Roku has so much more to offer. After learning how to add favorites and channel app location it is a true delight. And the Roku channel by itself has unbelievable selection and programming. If you don’t have one, you really need to get one.

[Rewarded Review] Good Budget HD TV if you have the patience.
30 May 2024

Looking for a budget 40=43" Full HD TV. Found a number of good reviews on the 2023 Roku. Checked out Best Buy, my go to. Purchased this 2024 model for $199. Easy set up, very good color and picture..Terrific when viewed head on but loses from the angle. The downside, kept losing its sound. Thought it was a defective remote mute button. Returned it when I could not resolve. Later found a blogg that mentioned same problem. Their fix, unplug the TV and re-power. Went back and purchased a 2nd Roku on sale at BB for Memorial Day. Same thing happened with the new one but unplugging fixed it. TV is a good buy if you have the patience to bear with this glitch.

[Rewarded Review] Picture and Sound were good but...
14 June 2024

This TV was cheaper than others it's size but I knew the Roku name so I bought it. My husband is "old school" and could not get the hang of the menus or going through the steps to get to "air TV". The picture and sound were fine but it took a long time to set up and I didn't find it user friendly at all. I returned it and chose a Sony Google TV and we have been very happy with that purchase. This TV might be fine for someone younger that is used to all of the streaming services offered with this TV but it was just too much of a hassle to navigate when the only channels we use are the air channels. an occasional Amazon Prime movie and a couple of things on Roku.

[Rewarded Review] Roku TV is good quality
15 November 2024

Great TV. The menu is simple to use. All your favorite streaming apps are available from your home screen. It even has inputs for other devices. The sound quality is pretty good. I listen to Spotify from it often. And the picture quality is quite decent. I would recommend this TV for anyone who Just wants A nice quality quality TV for watching your shows.

[Rewarded Review] Solid TV For The Price.

Honestly, this is a solid TV for the price. It's max output is 1080p. The picture is crisp for the most part. I previously had a 4K TV that broke a week ago. I can say that there is a substantial difference between 4K and 1080p. 1080p isn't as refined as 4K, but it still does the job.The sound quality holds up well compared to my previous TV. This particular model isn't capable of taking full advantage of the PS5's functions. But, my PS5 still works well with this model. Sound quality kinda dipped a bit. A quick adjustment in the settings evened it out from what I can tell. The remote control has voice commands, as well as buttons for popular apps like Netflix and Max. No settings button from what I could see. Looks like the only way you can access settings is through the TV itself.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this TV.

[Rewarded Review] The worst Roku tv ever made
3 September 2024

Yes the price is low, but it is still the worst Roku tv I've ever used. The features it's missing are on the software side, so it doesn't make sense to cut them for a cheap model. I understand cutting hardware features to save money but to go in there and remove software features would cost the company more than just leaving them. For instance, this TV doesn't have a sleep timer. I was pretty sure that every TV made since at least the 90s had a sleep timer. But nope, not this one. When I first got the TV I plugged a Chromecast into it. I didn't once actually use it but for some reason the tv started defaulting to that input every time I turned it on. That was annoying so I took it out in hopes it would default to the home screen. Nope. Now it defaults to the input ... MoreYes the price is low, but it is still the worst Roku tv I've ever used. Now it defaults to the input the Chromecast used to be and just tells you there's no signal. This TV is being used by a gentleman with mental disabilities and he struggles because of those two things I mentioned. I would have returned it for a different model but the TV sat in a box for 2 weeks before being used and by the time we discovered the shortcomings it was past it's return period. This is an extremely disappointing experience with a product that I've generally had good experiences with other products from the same company. If I was Roku I'd be embarrassed to offer a product like this. There's better options available for cheap TVs, don't get this one it's completely worthless.SERIOUSLY WHERE IS THE DANG SLEEP TIMER!?!?!?!?

[Rewarded Review] Worst TV I have ever owned!!!
13 November 2024

Horrible TV! I had had Roku TVs in the past and have never had problems, until I encountered this one. There are audios issues with the sound matching up to the people speaking on the TV. It constantly lags and there is sometimes a delay between the remote and tv communicating. In addition, the sound will go out, and I have to unplug the TV for a few minutes then plug back in to work. And just for reference, I have business speed WiFi with the modem in the same room as the TV, so there is definitely no issues on my end. I’m just so disappointed and feel like I just wasted $180. Do better Roku!!!
