The sound and the feel of the keys are fantastic. My daughter recently started learning Piano and we were looking for a reasonable option (in cost and size) that could evolve with her progress. After testing different electric pianos, I was very impressed by the feel and the sound of the FP-30X. It was a little bit more than I wanted to spend but the FP-30X was bringing much more to the table compared to cheaper alternatives. My daughter loves it and she enjoys the free piano lessons with Pianote that we received from Roland. The kit from Adorama with the stand, the bench and the sustain pedal is great.

DEFECT: when plugging in phone or any stuff device, it more than halves the output signal, while also adding distortion to it. I think is just something they missed at the factory.Otherwise, it's great for practice at home. I took it to a gig, and it's incredibly terrible to navigate in that environment, while also not being able to immediately pair with my iPad Air 2 (iOS 15.6) - later achieving success after 45 minutes of filling around with it. (it took 9s to pair with my iPad pro. sigh haha!)The App is the way to go! Although not impressed with the overall sounds, it's definitely a bump up in quality from my Casio CDP-100. (although it had a better Rhodes sound. CONTROVERSY! heheh. I use Ivory & Scarbee on the gigs.)

It deserves 5 stars for the value for money and quality of piano sounds and playing experience.The interface is a bit clunky, as there is no screen, especially for choosing different sounds. However the next model up with a screen costs nearly twice as much.The mobile apps that can be downloaded work well for tweaking general parameters and for accompaniment/backing tracks. It's a shame you cannot select sounds via the apps as this would overcome the clunky slection interface.Overall though, as a pianist it is a pleasure to use and lots of expression can be put into playing it.
As a learner I can’t give an in depth review as I don’t know enough to know what to comment on. But from a point of view of someone new to learning piano, I have found the FP-30X easy to set up. I bought it with the DPD 70 Triple Pedal and the KSC-70-BK Piano Stand. It’s light enough to move around easily. Though probably best to keep in one placing if using at home only, as it’s a bit too bulky to be having to move it around regularly. And also there’s the risk of damaging it. It was very easy to set up and looks great in my living room. It was straightforward connecting my phone for Bluetooth MIDI and audio. I’d recommend using the Roland Piano app if you want to change piano settings or select different tones. I'm a beginner to moderate piano player and looking to get more into it. I can't help but sit at this every day and before I realize it 2 hours have gone by. The sounds are so fantastic out of the unit, I don't even need to pipe it through any amps. I played around with a number of synthesizers, keyboards, e-pianos and this one really jumped out at me. The price is fantastic for what you get and the quality is amazing. Granted it doesn't have a display, but the controls via the piano keys are pretty no brainer. It's also not really portable, but you could transport it if need be, just get a really beefy stand. At the same time, I am so happy with this unit rather than a super heavy and bulky real piano or alternative expensive e-piano. I was looking for a digital keyboard to learn and practice piano. I wanted a keyboard that had the feel and sound of an acoustical piano and was interested in either a Kawai ES-120 or the Roland FP-30X. I found this bundle at B&H. I ordered the Roland, which was delivered the next day. The bundle includes, besides the keyboard, a decent stand for the keyboard, a three pedal sustain assembly, a piano bench, headphones and a dust cover.I have been very satisfied with the performance of the keyboard. The unit has ample features for an intermediate keyboard. I do like the sound and feel of the keyboard.
Excellent key action, excellent sound, everything about this keyboard is perfect for aspiring musicians. It is very intuitive to use and set up. I highly recommend it for those who don't have extensive knowledge but want to learn. It's not often that I review something and have nothing negative to say. Everything was perfect including the Payboo credit terms and B & H's incredible customer service. Everything arrived boxed and in great shape. I literally could not be happier with a purchase.

It doesn't really have much workstation functionality so it's mainly for just playing piano, which is exactly what I wanted.All in all I'm very happy with this bundle.
