I love the design on this kettle, its so sleek and elegenat! The black makes it pefect for every kitchen whilst the silver touches add a little sparkle. My favourtie thing about this kettle is the fact it has 2 fill windows one on each side of the kettle, which being left handed with a right handed partner is amazing for me and its the first time i've personally seen this feature on a kettle. The quite boil really is what you expect. Its not silent but a lot quiter than most standard kettles. I love the cup depths inside the kettle letting you know where to fill for a few cups of tea without having to look at the side. Its a really lovely kettle!

I am very happy with my new Russell Hobbs Buckingham Quiet Boil kettle. It is obviously not silent but is much quieter than our old kettle. It is suitable for right or left handed people as it has a clear window on each side so you can see how much water is in the kettle. It also has a lovely ring of blue light at the bottom of the kettle when it is switched on, blue being my favourite colour.I would recommend this kettle.I am a 70 year old man and live in West Sussex.The kettle is made of high quality materials and I consider the cost value for money.I would recommend Robert Dyas as a source of good quality merchandise.

So pleased, it’s a great addition to my kitchen. I think the black colour gives it a premium look. All my kitchen appliences are black and titanium so it goes well even when left on kitchen counter top. It’s getting used every day as it’s cold outside we make a lot of tea but even for cooking I just quickly boil some water and add to the food.It’s so quiet I can use it at night, no-one will notice or hear anything.Boils water under 1 minute.
The kettle is a medium size able to heat the water for 6 medium size cups. The heating process is a bit lauder than normal due to the metal parts but the water heating process is very quick. The lid on my kettle is a bit loose and does not close well so this may be a part in the lauder noise produced while heating the water. It has a comfortable grip handle that makes handling the kettle easy and pleasant. On the side of the kettle the marks provided are verh useful and benefits from not boiling to much water , but enough for what is needed. I want to add that because the exterior walls are metal the water is getting colder fast so if need to be reused in 15 min you have to repeat the boiling process. Overall a good kettle for a household with 4 members.
Bought to replace exactly the same model when the old one's switch became unreliable.Pros: Reasonably quiet as kettles go; quick to boil; turns off when lifted from base; level indicator; boils small quantities. lights up when switched on.Cons: Spout a bit small for filling, especially if the filter is kept in for hard water areas (we have soft water so just remove the filter); metal so sides get hot; base lights up like some science-fiction UFO landing pad, but we got used to it; level indicator grapics/text hard to read but fairly easy to judge by just looking at the water level.
