Really like this kettle. Much quieter than my previous one, and I especially like the markers on the inside. Much easier to judge how much to fill it. I’d read the reviews before purchasing, and a couple mentioned how it wasn’t very steady on the base. This is true when the kettle is empty, but it’s absolutely fine when there’s water in it. Very happy with my purchase.

A kettle as good as it looks!

I bought the Russell Hobbs 24280 silver & copper kettle on impulse, after seeing the red version in store. The circular base, tapering to a square top, is a very appealing design. The silver and chrome look very good together. The lid mechanism opens gently with light pressure on the button. The 1, 2 and 3 cup level markers are useful, but not essential. The heat dissipating ring inside at the bottom prevents the often loud noise associated with fast boil kettles. This kettle does boil one cup in about 45 seconds as stated. The outside seems to wipe clean easily, and so far I haven’t noticed any unsightly fingerprints on its surface. All in all I am very glad I bought this kettle.

A premium price for a not so premium product.

I have been using this kettle for over a month now and having read a few reviews prior to owning the kettle I was worried about the taste that people had mentioned.Initially I did notice this strange taste but upon changing my tea bags that definitely helped as it does not have any strange taste at all.The kettle has a number of guides inside to help you boil only enough water that you need which I find really helpful as I work from home and there is just me here during the day, so I only boil what I need rather than reboiling the water as I used to do.The kettle pours really well and looks sleek on the worktop.My main concern with the product is the exterior of the kettle is how hot it gets once the water has boiled. Excellent kettle

Great kettle, easy to use and looks good.The cup estimate on the size is pretty much bang on and easy to read. The kettle illuminates when on so easy to see if unable to hear. The kettle itself obviously has a noise but not as loud as some kettles. You can still hear yourself talking whilst its boiling!The kettle is a classic colour and will go with any decor. The lead has enough length to be able to get it far enough ir close enough to a switch.It doesnt take long to boil, the less water the quicker it is. When pouring the spout is direct and no spillages. The button to open the kettle is easy to use and doesnt require much effort. Nice and handy on the handle meaning you can use it with one hand.Overall a great kettle and would recommend this. Good kettle

The kettle arrived on time. It said boil a kettle full of water twice to clear any manufacturing residue. I actually had to boil it 6 times before it was clear. This is my second Russel Hobs Luna kettle. The previous one looked nicer than this stainless steel on but was no good and I think withdrawn. Apart from that it is quiet, boils quickly and uses less energy.

Literally my favourite kettle ever

Can't for the life of me think of any negative points. I like that it's metal (instead of plastic) but doesn't feel heavy, it looks great, it is much quieter than a standard kettle, all parts of it feel like they were made from quality materials, very easy to top up because the lid pops up effortlessly... I could go on. Wouldn't swap it for any other kettle.

Quietest Kettle I've Ever Had

My old kettle suddenly started leaking and I decided to go with this kettle. I'm pleased with this kettle as it's got a large enough capacity at 1.7L. When first using it, be sure to boil through several passes to remove any plastic-tasting water. The kettle lights up when boiling, and it has a very smooth pour; no leakage from the spout. The centre of gravity of this kettle makes it very balanced to hold in your hand even when full with water. The only very minor gripe I have is that the lid is just a little small to what I'm used to when cleaning the appliance. But to be honest, it wouldn't put me off recommending the kettle.
