I love the Russell Hobbs Turbo Rice Cooker Matte Black. It comes well packaged and includes a steamer basket, measuring cup and rice paddle. The cooker itself is nice to look at, lightweight, simple to use and easy to clean. I use a rice cooker most days and quite often serve rice with steamed vegetables. This rice cooker has saved me loads of time and washing up because you can steam your veggies at the same time that your rice is cooking and the only extra washing up is the steamer basket. Love that it automatically switches to the warm function once the rice has cooked and the built in lid holder is genius. Excellent rice cooker, especially at this price.

This rice cooker comes inside a box perfectly packaged, has clear instructions on the manual regarding the amount of rice and the proportion of water. It also specifies for different varieties of rice, the cook time differs. I tried cooking Long Grain white rice and it was ready in less than 10 mins. Usually when I try to boil and cook it takes longer. This rice cooker has saved my time and I am using it more frequently. This rice cooker comes with a measuring cup and a serving spoon. The cord length is of standard length and does not cause entanglement since it is not too long which is a positive. What I have realised is if the correct amount of water is not added as per the proportion of the rice inside the cooker based on the instruction manual, then a lot of steam is let out which may cause water to log beside the machine where it is placed, however this is only a user issue due to not reading the manual :) . The keep warm function is an excellent function and I am so happy that, on cold days, I can have warm rice with curries instead of boiling the rice and later having it cold once the water is drained. The rice cooker also comes with a steaming plate and only issue I find is that you can steam only bigger veggies, like the winter veggies instead of the mix veggies. Overall this product is brilliant only follow the instructions and saves you from any additional mess and saves time, The other highlight is the steam plate is dishwasher safe. I regret, I did not have a rice cooker earlier.

A very nice looking and functional rice cooker. The detachable cord makes it convenient for taking straight to the dining table for serving. A large capacity is enough of fees a large family and entertaining. Cooking is a breeze with easy to follow recipe book and a glass lid to see your progress. The warming feature is also good for preparing the meal early. The one problem is the rice burning at the bottom of the pan. Ive tried a number of times but short of turning it off early and letting it sit to finish off with the built up heat it always seems to burn. The non- stick pan does help with clean up though. All over a good product but maybe a design issue (or user) problem with the rice burning.

The look is very sleek and modern, It comes with the cup and spoon to scoop out the rice. you really need to rinse the starch off the rice or there will be a bubble over mess. The rice comes out a little more soft than what I usually like, and that's following the directions from the book, but i will play with it again and add a little less water, see if that helps make drier rice. I am not keen on the crust it forms on the bottom. Im not sure if the steamer adds anything as I find a pot on the stove is easier. Over all easy to use, looks great on the bench. although it doesn't save time. I think I will stick to my usual way of cooking rice.
I purchased this product before and it was awesome. But this time it is not good as previous one. This cooker spills water everywhere and does a mess when cooking. So it waist time cleaning and its a hazard with electric cord because the water spills all around and you have to be mindful when it spills. So I want recommend this time as Im having lot of issues.

There is roduct design problem. The metal of the inner bowl is too thin. The heat transmits to the rice n water is too high while the cover lid is not tight enough. Then the steam goes away quickly. This makes the rice too dry and even a bit brownish burnt n hard in texture. No big difference for you turn it off right after done or keeping it warm for a while. So, it's not time problem. It's the product design problem. Just if you don't have any requirements for the rice quality. It's an OK product.

My half asian family likes rice soft so it sticks together, even long grain rice. This RussellHobbs cooker is fast, but I cannot get the rice how they like it. To test the russell hobbs I first cooked 4 cups of white rice as per instruction manual. It took 17 minutes to cook the rice and I then left in the rice cooker on warm setting for 15 minutes as per the instruction manual.
