Awful product. Mine has died after 6 months. Heavy and weight distribution puts stress on your wrist. When it was asthmatic at best. You can buy a Dyson for the same amount. Bought it to use existing Ryobi batteries, wish I hadn't.

Disregard the low reviews due to price because it has nothing to do with the performance of this vacuum. Wall attachment is pretty much not needed as the vacuum stands up on its own. I much prefer this over the Dyson V15 basically because of the price difference compared to the suction power. V15 sits at 27kPa and this Ryobi does 20kPa except you aren't paying $1000+ for that difference. It has a light that shines on the ground for you to see if you've missed spots as well. I mainly use on hardwood but I have turned the spinning off to vacuum the dogs Barney beds too and it works well. Interchangeable battery is a life saver as we already have 10 of these around and if we need to do a longer vacuum, we can. It doesn't have a fancy LCD screen to show you the ... Not only is it overpriced compared to the North American model as stated in the other review, the wall attachment is the biggest waste of time ever it doesn’t support the weight of the vacuum and can and will easily fall off the wall without being touched. Avoid like the plague
I had the older model and loved it. However I have had to replace three roller brushes even though they are cleaned after each use. Of course you can’t buy that part but have to replace the whole head. Have industrial deafness from it yet I still will buy another and won’t go back to dragging the old vacuum around. Love how quick and easy it is to use tho and will up grade to this model
It’s ergonomically uncomfortable and heavy. The handle/grip is ok in the upright position but not whilst in use on the 60-80 degree angle. Wouldn’t buy another one and certainly if I could get a refund I would.
At this price point it should be the dual-roller model which sells in the US for 250usd or 370aud at the time of writing this, that also includes a battery. To be selling this unit without the dual-roller, no battery and without the handy little attachments like the straw nozzle at this price point is insane. What's worse is that it's a good vacuum, just not a good almost $400 vacuum.
I expected a lot of suction compared to my old DYSON V7... but in a direct comparison with them both running and putting my hand over the end of each ... I think the V7 had better suction. However the specifications from the manufactures say the RYOBI has at least twice as much suction? Go figure. The Roybi is heavy. The Dyson you can fling around. The Roybi does better on thick rugs ... as the superior suction of the Dyson causes it to balk and only is cured if you drag it backwards. You can tell a lot more thought has gone into the design and function of the Dyson. Off to the garage for the Ryobi !
Bought this in November last year. Hardly used it because it's too heavy and not that good on suction. It fell off the very weak wall attachment holder a couple of times and broke the clip that holds the waste bin. Returned it and was offered a replacement or refund. Chose the latter. Glad to get rid of it.
Bought this about 3 months ago to replace a bissell powerforce. Liked the idea of cordless. Waste of money. Terrible on lino / tiles, fills up in 3 seconds on carpet which is annoying but it does a good job on carpet generally. Though it doesn't have the grunt to even lift up sand... Would not recommend.
