Great tool. I was was a little sceptical at first after some of the reviews, but wow. Super impressed. Polished up my boat with it and it shines. Being cordless, it is so much easier than the corded ones. Have a couple of 5aH batteries ready to go if your doing a couple of few hours of polishing. It does use some power!

Purchased this after receiving a catalogue showing it as a NEW line product. I'd read reviews that seem to be positive. When it arrived I immediately registered it. As I do with all my other Ryobi products. The build date was 44/2020 which meant it was 10 months old. So I contacted Ryobi to find out why a product that is advertised as a NEW line was manufactured 10 months ago. Was told this product was launched in April 2021 blamed Covid for everything and testing. Didn't properly address the build date issue. Upon my first test use I had the rotating base unscrew and fly off. I was able to reinstall it but so much for product testing and quality checks.

Fantastic polisher that makes my life a lot easier. I have just repainted my bus and needed to cut back and polish it. This made it a lot less of a chore and was quite easy to use. My only suggestion would be if it had a wool pas as well. Other than that I highly recommend it.

When used with decent technique and quality cutting/polishing compounds, you can get great results.Note to others considering purchasing this to do an entire car; make sure you have at least 3 batteries. When it comes to cutting back at 5800+ opm, 1x 2.0ah is realistically only good for 1 panel.The included foam pads are very good quality as well, just give them a spin and brush before use to remove specks of foam.
Replaced a larger corded machine with this random orbital polisher.Haven’t had any drop in power or usability infact even though the pads are slightly smaller I get the job done faster without the cord getting in the way and the extra manoeuvrability of this unit.It was highly recommended to me by a friend who swears by his so I am happy he pushed me this way.I consider a great investment and a good addition to my Ryobi collection of tools.
I am very impressed with the dual action polisher. It’s light weight and powerful, with so many speed settings to suit a cut, polish, or wax. I was very pleased with the 3 pads supplied. I used to polish and wax my cars by hand, now with this dual action polisher, it more than halves my time and does a better job than I ever could. Amazing. Highly recommended
I asked the family to buy me one of these for my birthday, so the next day I polished me 1 year old Harley-Davidson that I had managed to put a big scratch in the middle of the fuel tank about 6 months ago. Completely devastated auto detailers wouldn’t touch it, spray painters were $1000 + for a repair. So armed with my new Ryobi polisher and a few hours of YouTube videos for training I dived in head first to polish out the deep scratch. Slowly but shorly the scratch started to disappear. So after around 2 hours the whole pike was sparkling like new again. Can’t wait how to start on the cars now. Very happy with this machine. My only complaint would be the Yellow pad was missing from the box, it had been opened when the Wife purchased it from Bunnings.
May not have the power of some, but for a quick detail this is a great little polisher. Very well balanced and light to use. Be sure to use 5.0ah batteries as it does chew through them when in higher rpm’s. But other than that small downside it’s a great little unit that will suffice a DIY’er wanting to polish a car or two
Not worth buying couldn't cut or polish a scratch out no matter what u tried the pad bearly rotates and with the smallest amount of pressure applied it stalls and does nothingThe supplied foam pad fell apart before I could do half my carI've been detailing cars and boats for over 15years had a detains buisnesThis ryobi polisher is junk the only possible use could be waxing a car that has been previously polished and cut with a proper buffer
The tool is great, works as expected.The Ryobi pads on the other hand are rubbish. The quality of the foam is good, but the backing partly separated after the first use & the completely came part during the second use. I don't know how than can justify $16.95 for poor quality pads.Also ridiculous that Bunnings are the main distributor for Ryobi products, but consumable parts (Pads) are not stocked.
