I recently bought a 18V 184 mm mitre saw. We needed to renovate our front veranda rails. The mitre saw was invaluable for all the angle cut we needed to finish our reno job.

This is a well priced tool that will suffice for most of the DIY jobs I have coming up, such as skirting boards and a new wood fence. Now I have this tool, it will enable me to do a lot of jobs I otherwise would not be able to, which is great at the moment because I can’t get a tradie to do a lot of jobs I need doing.

I purchased this to cut hardwood decking planks and it worked fantastically! It is an amazing price for such a good quality little saw. I cant speak highly enough about the +1 range, this saw is no exception. Fantastic value for money!

I bought this saw recently. Perfect for small jobs. Great for cutting timber or aluminum. Very compact compared to my compound sliding saw. Very quiet by comparison too.
Bought about a month ago - needs a bit of set up to get cuts square. You also can't trust the stops on the horizontal swivel - but you can set it to cut square. Do yourself a favour and get at least a 40 tooth blade (24T included) with a thinner kerf than the 2.2mm that is included (1.5mm is good). Do the above and it cuts well and is a good, light and convenient saw for smaller work.
I use it for tile trim, which is soft aluminum. It's ok but having owned a couple now the "fence" always ends up a bit bent, it must be made from soft material. Just ok, replaced the fence, totally not worth the cost, just buy a new saw. Not sure if I'll get another, probably try a more expensive hopefully longer lasting saw.
Great drop saw and perfect for the fence build. Without trying to lug the large drop saw and get power to the site. Easily did the job and actually has become my new favourite tool in the Ryobi range.
Compact and lightweight but with enough grunt to get the job done. Battery lasts forever in this easy to carry and use unit. Much easier to use than my other larger compound saw for most jobs. A nice addition to my Ryobi family of tools.
This is the ideal drop saw for smaller jobs. Easy to use and quiet. My wife loves it and is always using it for her craft jobs. Thanks Ryobi.
Such good value for money! I have no experience with power tools or woodworking, and felt very comfortable using this mitre saw. If woodworking is your new hyperfixation, this is great! If you get bored of woodworking, this isn't a whole lot of money in the big scheme of things. However, one thing the design is lacking is: predrilled holes in the fence to attach extension fences
