This thing is as close as you'll get to a petrol blower but with the convenience of a battery. Plenty of blowing power, the vacuum and mulching equally as impressive, and the adjustable wheels are a great touch. I have been getting a little longer per charge than the promised duration. Can recommend for a medium sized yard.

Bought the product less than a week ago, and first time I used it wearing my normal gardening shoes I received constant electric shocks just from holding the main housing handle and using correctly as described in the manual. There is no reference in the manual at all that you have to wear rubber soled shoes to insulate you from the ground to prevent you from getting electric shocks caused by Static Electricity when using in Vacuum mode. When I took it back to the Store the Salesperson told me to wear Rubber soled work boots to insulate me from the Ground to prevent getting the constant electric shocks, even then the shocks still occasionally occur. Plus, to make matters worse the electric shocks ruined the Battery. If you have a Pacemaker fitted do not buy this ... All those years we’ve been confined to the ‘Old Two Stroke’ or the ‘Trailing Powercord’ as we perform those essential tasks in the front and back yards.Recently moved up to “Sunny Townsville” where all things seem to grow at twice the rate we were used to down in Victoria……..which means Mowing the lawn, sometimes twice a week AND the ensuing clean-up afterwards.MY RYOBI BLOWER/SUCKER……..IS MAGNIFICENT! Blows all the leaves (and mulch the birds flick out) back on to the garden and spectacularly cleans paths and porches, collecting all the ‘messy stuff’ to conveniently empty straight into the bin.Life’s Great!

I bought this for the vacuum feature which works really well. A blade chops the leaves into small pieces so the bag holds a lot before it needs emptying. Its noisy and the loest setting has been more than sufficient. The wheels make it easy to use and the 6AH battery lasts well. My drive, paths and garage are now easy to keep clean. The assembly instructions could be better. Had to keep looking at the box.
Unit great Instructions Confusing
This is such a useful and so far reliable piece of kit. Keeping my courtyard and walkway clear of leaves is now not only easy but also a wee bit fun. 6.0ah battery works well and gives me enough juice to get it all done on one charge. For me, the ideal solution to my leaf issue.
I previously blew the leaves off paths into gardens with a Ryobi 18v One+ Garden Blower. I have been really happy with the Blower and Whipper Snipper with a 4Ah battery. But the wind would blow the leaves back onto the path. Now with the Vacuum Mulcher the leaves are mulched before being composted and put on the garden. The leaves don't blow back on the path and I have an additional 6Ah battery. While plastic and cost a fair amount, the Vacuum Mulcher Blower is a well designed product and easily mulches leaves, light bark and light sticks. I find the best way to mulch the leaves is to blow them against a wall in a tidy row and then wheel the Vacuum along the row. Works a treat.
Works well with leaves up to around 30cm long. Anything longer is a struggle. Works well with flowers and grass.
I am normally a big fan of Ryobi one+ products but this one was a little underwhelming, especially given it was not cheap. Firstly, to be clear, it functions OK. I just found the whole thing a bit fiddling to set up and also to operate. My biggest disappointment is that it chews through the battery quickly. The packaging made this clear but I thought perhaps I could use it on low speed. But I found I pretty much always had to have it on high speed. For mine, tHis product should NOT be sold with a 6aH battery. It should come standard with a 9aH. I thought it would not be a problem as I could back it up with my two 2aH batteries. WRONG! 2aH batteries last about 5 minutes. So in summary, if you have any thing more than a small area to maintain (eg a pool ... So in summary, if you have any thing more than a small area to maintain (eg a pool deck/patio/small suburban garden) then buy an additional 6aH or 9aH battery and if you do only have a small area then as archaic as it may seem, you will getter better price/performance out of a 240v plug in model.
handy around yard. vacuum works better than blower , ideal for cleaning leaves up around paths
