The Palm Sander kit my first Ryobi 18vOne purchase and certainly won't be the last - it's great! The sander is compact and easily gets into corners, I've been using it very successfully on my windowsills. The design makes it very easy to hold in your palm and therefore maneuver. There's very little vibration and having the choice of sanding plates gives even more options.

For a small hand held tool this sander has great power and has been very effective in rejuvenating some old timber benches that have lived on our front porch for many years without any maintenance being done. The battery life is long and the ease of use is commendable. Having the battery interchangeable with the one in my Ryobi blower has meant that at least one battery is ready for use at all times.

Handy little sander. The included sanding sheets stay in place including the tips. Good for getting into corners and small spaces. Not as powerful as my corded sander but very convenient being cordless. Ideal for small sanding needs, easy to hold and use. The battery fits quite tight but is probably needed due to the vibration. The included 2.0Ah battery is not the same as my other Ryobi batteries and has no led lights for checking the amount of charge left. However, charger and battery work well. At the time of purchase Bunnings had no replacement Ryobi sanding sheets to fit this sander but the flexOvit detail sanding sheets fit this model and were available at Bunnings.

Great little sander and easy to use. Makes sanding quick and easy and does all the hard work for me, no stress on my hands. Has been a great help in prepping for painting.
This little sander does take a little bit to get used to the kick when you start it, but you soon get in your groove. It does a great job even without a vacuum attached, not as much dust as I thought. You end up wanting to sand lots of things.
Great little sander. Plenty of power does the job well, BUT, the battery is hard to impossible to change out. So I'm just a girl and didn't have the strength to pull out the used battery. Went back to Bunnings to change it but there're all like that. Definitely a fault with the build. Even the guy at Bunnings struggled. So I got a corded instead. Bummer.
I bought this Ryobi palm sander a year ago. I love it. I have sanded so many things with it: the lounge room timber floor, the hallway, coffee tables and other furniture. My husband has used it for sanding timber for our pantry. I am now doing the kitchen cork floor. It has had lots of work and hasn't missed a beat. I never thought I could love a power tool!
My Ryobi palm sander is absolutely fit for purpose. I have a large amount of intricate external timbers requiring a gentle touch in preparation for paint etc.
I have used the majority of, what would be considered, the “Home Bracket” of power tools with varying success. Now that I have found Ryobi, I can genuinely say, I have all I need in one system that works seamlessly with no gaps.The One+ Battery system is a perfect way to work all weekend moving from one tool to the next. Never again will I have to keep multiple Chargers and battery configurations on my workbench - just - “grab a battery and go to the next job”
This palm sander does work - it sands jobs, and gets into corners. But I kind of hate it - it vibrates so much no matter how you hold it, leaving my wrists and poor old joints sore after about 5 min. Maybe palm sanders are just like this, but my Ryobi random orbital sander is SO much more comfortable to use, I just end up grabbing that one instead of the palm sander 99 times out of 100.
