I decided to purchase this palm sander with the intention to use for small handyman jobs around the house and my woodworking hobby.It exceeds the expectations and I would recommend this. The addition to be able to attach to your workshop vacuum is really neat too! Great battery life and does more than an exceptional job!

Having used for a couple of small jobs, I'm impressed with this sander. Portability is great, and battery run time has been good (haven't had to recharge while using with only a 2.5mah battery). Tool is slightly bigger than expected, but still able to be used in small areas by angling as required. Included pads were unexpected and a nice surprise. Like all sanders, it's going to get dusty, so make sure to give it a good clean after use. I can't comment on the dust outlet as this requires a shop-vac to connect to. All up: a tool I'll reach for often, and much more convenient than corded sanders for small to medium jobs.

Great sander, works very well. The on/off switch means that you don't have to keep the button depressed for longer sanding periods and your grip can be adjusted as you work. The long sanding time on a 5.0Ah battery was very convenient. Identifying replacement pads at the time of purchase could have been easier - fortunately, the Bunnings team member was able to assist to unbox the sander so that it could be offered up to the boxes of replacement pads.

This tool makes light work of sanding my skirting board. Great that it fits as part of the one system with great battery life. Do find that the actual sand paper wears quickly at the top which then has the negative effect of reducing the Velcro fitting. The vacuum system doesn’t connect to a standard vacuum so you can either buy a connector from Bunnings or it does actually fit the Ryobi Wet and Dry Vacuum. Happy with the quality overall.
This is a great little sander with a huge amount of power. We mainly bought it to do the skirting boards, window frames and doors for the Reno we just finished. Battery life was excellent and ripped the old paint right off. The tip got into the hard places including the wooden window frames, making the prep work a breeze. The sander is comfortable to hold and to use with little vibration. The sander wasn’t to heavy, even with a 5ah battery. The vacuum attachment also made clean up easy too. Always looking for an excuse to buy another ryobi one+ tool and the palm sander was a great price and welcoming addition to the tool cupboard.

We purchased the palm sander to do the outdoor posts on our verandah after cockatoos had chewed on them, and it is perfect. It does a brilliant job, is easy to hold and use, and really doesn't weigh too much. It's fairly quite as well. Would definitely recommend.
Bought this when working on my sailing boat. I bought another brand first and it failed consistently with sanding pads falling off after a couple of minutes. Went back to my hardware store and went straight to the Ryobi stand as I have more than 10 other Ryobi units and they never let me down. My new sander is light, easy to use and being cordless makes it really convenient plus the real benefit is that sanding pads stay on.
Sands well and is good for corners, but the dust port keeps falling out.Otherwise very good, and the dust port worked well when it was in, but to me a dust port is a deal breaker.This would be a great product is the dust port was integrated, like the orbital sander or circular saw.As it is, I thought it was unusable and I returned it.
Overall its a great peice of kit. My only suggestion would be to include a vacuum attachment, that is conpatable with standard vacuums. But that in no way effects the quality of the device. Its light, and on a decent battery, it goes for a good time.
