I use this for woodworking, not for inflating things. I’ve had it for around two weeks. Here is what I am using it for so far:-Sawdust collects on my router table between passes. I have tried using a hand vacuum but it only clears a narrow path. Blowing the sawdust off the router table with this inflater is safer and more effective than other methods I have used.-I use it to clean off my workbench top, cabinets, tools, and bicycles.-It’s great for blowing the sawdust out of my clothes and hair.-I like the grip style form factor. When I get around to making a charging station where I can hang my drills and drivers, I’ll hang this too.

I like it! I only took one star off because it is not that quiet, and I am sad to see right after purchasing this model they released a whisper quiet version of this inflator. I have not used it to inflate anything, but I use it to blow things off. I will be purchasing the whisper quiet version because it comes with blowing attachments unlike this model. Overall, I am pleased with the blower and what I use it for.

About this product thinking it would be a good addition to keeping my workshop cleaning my garage. It works great for the first couple times I used it. And then it only work sporadically when it wanted to, I would turn it on and sometimes it would actually turn on. Sometimes it wouldn't. And if I got it to turn on I didn't know if it was going to last for a minute or 5 seconds. I think I was just fed up and ended up throwing it away. Which is sad because I love all my other Ryobi tools

Great Inflator in a Unique Config. Not sure why but these are getting real hard to find now. The One+ line appears to be discontinued as a whole, and sadly this is a casualty. No other brand makes an inflator like this one to my knowledge. The unit is well built, fits nicely in your hand, is smaller than I expected (smaller than a typical drill) and it pushes a lot of air from what appears to be a healthy axial compressor inside. It has a On/Off trigger which at first I did not like. Its not like other "drills" given its shape as it switches On and stays On. You click again to turn it Off. I see why wrt filling things. You can do it hands off. But you don't get to control it finely like a "drill". Again its not a drill but it looks like one and you might wrongly ... MoreGreat Inflator in a Unique Config. It's multi use for my setup...it inflates inner tubes and air mattresses with ease. It also stokes a fire like nobody's business. It clears off tables and chair of sand and muck. It is quite noisy, and it will take a little bit to get used to it. But its a keeper for me. Thankfully the battery is available in "other" brands when / if the one I have gives out.
I was looking for something specifically to help inflate our inflatable kayak. After reading the product description, several insightful reviews (thanks to those who took the time to write a thoughtful review) and the Q&A section, this seemed like it would do the trick. And it did! Our kayak recommends a max inflation of 1 psi so there was no risk of over inflating and this device quickly did the bulk of the work. It is also very handy as a compact blower to clean off workbenches, keyboards, etc...A few things to note for prospective buyers so that expectations are realistic:1) This device is for LOW pressure use only. It is NOT suitable for inflating, say, an iSUP.2) It does NOT include a battery. It is NOT suitable for inflating, say, an iSUP.2) It does NOT include a battery. If you do not already own a Ryobi* ONE+ battery, you will need to obtain one in order to use this item. (*I don't know if there is cross compatibility with other brands of 18V batteries so am recommending using a Ryobi battery from my own experience with that system.)3) It is relatively loud. I would say slightly louder than a blow dryer maybe? So it would not be good to use to clean off your laptop keyboard in a library. :^ )4) For the Ryobi ONE+ tool system, this device is relatively inexpensive, BUT considering the previous 3 points listed above and for the very narrow use for which I needed it, it seemed a little expensive. But, if you have a lot of (low pressure) items you need to inflate, you may find this to be well worth it.
I bought this to use on the boat and fill/empty the tubes. However, it has not yet made it to the boat yet, in fact, I'll probably have to buy another one. lolSo far I've used to to clean out computers, laptops, humidifiers and dust in impossible to get places. (Think slotted vents on electronics and appliances). With the 2.0 battery in, it seems to run forever doing that sort of thing. Also, if you have a 3d printer (or a friend with one) you can print various other size nozzles. :)
When it blows it blows hard but the issue is that I've had problems getting it to work. It will just randomly shut off with PBP005 and PBP006 batteries. It will run flawlessly on the older batteries though. Same batteries work flawlessly in other tools. I came back to the store exchanged it and the new one has the same intermittent problem. I went online and I saw that this was a problem that is known for a while now. I called Ryobi and they basically said: tough luck or if you prefer: "here's a phone number or adress for a repair center." TL:DR If you write on the box of the tool that any One plus tool works with any One plus batteries you should make sure that's actually the case.
The title states the problem! Home Depot wouldn't replace.Except for blowing out the filter of a home vacuum a couple of times, the purchase was a total waste of money (and time trying to get various Ryobi batteries to make it work) and sours me on replacing it even though I need such a tool for various reasons.HD employee said I could send it "somewhere" and, if it was found to be faulty, they (the service center) would replace it. If they determined that it wasn't a mfg defect, they would advise and not do anything more. So, the cost and bother of boxing and shipping and the distinct possibility / probability of further dissatisfaction with the whole purchase and process lead to one conclusion: It's going in the trash as soon as I hit the Submit button.
This product is so great that I have purchased it three times! Not a single time due to failure, but once for losing it. Although this tool is fantastic for inflating items such as mattresses or floaties, it’s even better for blowing dust off everything. I use one for cleaning my work area with dust, sawdust, wood chips, etc. while my wife uses one in the house. I also use it for cleaning up some filters when necessary. Lastly it’s very compact and lasts a long time on even the smallest Ryobi battery (1.5ah). Every household should have one!
