This product is so easy use, once the batteries are in it is ready to go. The instructions are consice and simple for easy first use and once the thermometer is in place the temperature reading is so fast! I have only used this product for hot items (haven't tired for jams etc) but I'm sure it wiukd be just as good. Also love the silicone cover which can easily be cleaned.

I BBQ all year round, I do long 16 smokes on my smoker and so I need a good instant read thermometer that will allow me to open the BBQ/smoker get a read quickly and close it up again.This has been fantastic compared to my old instant read one. The speed in which it reads the meat temperature compared to my old one is night and day. I just felt the probe was just too long and the main screen just too big, it did mean I could tell the temperature very quickly though so does have it's upsides as the screen is very clear.So would I recommend it? Yes I would especially if my negatives are not an issue to you.Overall I am extremely happy with this product and can see it being part of my normal BBQ and smoker uses for years to come.

I’m very paranoid when it comes to cooking particular meats on the BBQ or in the oven however this is perfect. It allows me to cook meat the perfect amount to leave the food succulent and not overdone! I’ve used similar products previously but the Salter & Heston meat thermometer blows them out the water! You can tell it’s sturdy and also very accurate. It’s also a great BBQ product as the length of the needle means you don’t get caught by any stray flames of the BBQ. Would definitely get again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to add another BBQ accessory ready for the summer. Great product.

Great for checking the Sunday lunch! Great long thermometer. Leaves a very small puncture wound to the meat. Gives that extra reassurance food is fully cooked especially if your like myself with young children. Easy to use. Simple. Great for keeping an eye on the bbq this time of year too.
This might be the most brilliant and accurate thermometer ever. However what is the point when you cannot insert the battery? Nowhere in the instructions is a tiny screw visible. Nowhere does it say that you need to undo this to insert the battery. I am in my 50s and I could not see how to open this. I have jewellers screwdrivers but none seemed to fit. Save your time and don’t bother buying it. Mine is going back for a refund.
This meat thermometer is quite nice. The probe is long enough to put into bi portions of meat. I like the big display to read from. The silicone case is ideal so after I clean the probe I can put it in and store it away. The display fits quite good into my hands and it feels nice to the touch. Its also nice as it doesn't get hot while holding like metal metal thermometers.
Been meaning to get one of these for ages. Its labelled as a meat thermometer but has a wide temperature range so can be used for pretty much everything. Product seems robust and well made. Digital read out is clear and the probe is pretty sensitive and reaches the tested temp quickly so little time hanging in an oven door or over a pan. I did expect a temp guide inside the box. Would be nice to have an idea of the approx temp of say steaks at rare to well done etc.
I bought mine today and was eager to flick through the instruction manual to see all the uses that I could put it to. When I opened the box there was no manual. No matter, let's put the batteries in... How, though? Not a clue. Hence coming online to seek an instruction manual. Now it turns out I need a precision screwdriver that I . don't possess. Not worth the bother. Life's too short. I'll be returning this tomorrow and replacing it with something that is user-friendly.
Since I have become a parent, it has been brought to my attention that some things that come from my BBQ are less than fit for human consumption, so I picked up a thermometer to check that the riskier items are not going to poison myself or my kids.This is the easiest thing to use I've found in a long time, just take off the cap and stick it with the pointy end. Easy. No more poorly tummies in this house.
Review:The thermometer is very useful as it can be used for the BBQ to the Sunday roast. It takes the guessing game out of whether the meat is cooked or not which is great reassurance especially with my young family. It's easy to use and the screen is clear and easy to read. I would definitely recommend this thermometer
