Samson SRK12, 12-space 19 universal equipment racks accommodate any rackmounted gear setup. Constructed of heavy-duty steel with fully enclosed side panels, as well as both front and rear rack rails. Their side panels also feature perforations for passive ventilation. The racks are set upon four 3 (75mm) casters with locking fronts that can handle a weight capacity of up to 300lb (450lb without casters). The SRK12 rack comes with a blank, single-space panel. I ordered the SRK16 Equipment Rack from Sam Ash for my home studio. It arrived lightning fast and It's the perfect size to mount my rack gear. It's made of steel and it's really sturdy. It came with all the fasteners to assemble and mount my gear. You can choose to mount your rack gear with the supplied European or standard fasteners, it has a dual threaded mounting pillar on each side. Even fully loaded, moving it is a breeze. It has two locking casters to prevent it from rolling out of place if needed.

This is a terrific rack. It's well constructed and very convenient. I'd definitely purchase it again.

I installed this for a customer who was looking for a compact solution for his AV and IT equipment. He wanted something sturdy that he could move with ease without worrying about wear and tear - all of this within his limited budget. I was able to meet all his demands with this affordable rack. It was extremely easy to put together, and it is rock SOLID. Caster wheels are the heavy duty type. As a professional integrator for the past 15 years, I can think of a dozen applications I could use this rack for. I will definitely continue to use this rack in the future.
EXCELLENT RACK! Assembly was quick, and easy. Instructions were clear and accurate. Rack is of high quality and exactly what I needed. Also included plenty of Rack Screws, and Washers for installing equipment, definite bonus!
The tolerance on the sheetmetal work was good. I still followed my Keep ALL the screws loose until you have them ALL started rule that I use when assembling any sheet metal product. There were a couple that didn't align perfectly, but I'd attribute that to them doing the right thing and keeping the holes big enough to handle tolerance issues. The proof came with everything tightening up without extra force. I've put together other racks that were better, but they had a cost several times bigger than this one. I'm not complaining.
This rack went together fairly easily despite several problems. Holes needed to be cleaned out, the instruction sheet talked about steel colored screws but there were only black screws provided. Several of the short screws would not turn into the holes and longer screws had to be used. It seemed like the instructions were generic and for more than one rack. But it went together fairly easily and looks great. It just fits under my ham radio operating console.
I did have an issue with two holes on the US side being threaded at an angle causing the screws not to sit flush. The base comes with the wheels attached, the front wheels have locks. I really like having the 18" x 20" flat top to fit my console on. Easy to follow instructions, however, there are two larger bags of bolts included for mounting devices. One set is US threading, the other is Metric threading.
The quality of construction is better than expected. It's really a solid little unit. The assembly was pretty quick once I figured out what they intended with the reversible mounting posts. The casters were already mounted, saving me quite a bit of assembly time. My only complaint that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the packing material. The outer box was completely destroyed in shipping because the unit was too dense or heavy for the packing material. Luckily the inner box is well designed and the unit is completely undamaged. B&H's sub contractor for this (apparently 'Gradus Group') needs to learn how to pack these better. I'm using the rack to hold up my home audio components. In searching for an affordable, heavy duty steel rack for the studio I came across a lot of results. I finally took a gamble on this one due to the great price and I was seriously impressed with the build quality. This is no flimsy rack. Heavy duty steel construction, flexibility for EUR/US threads, and some nice casters. I plan on buying another one of these to use as the legs for a studio desk. Seriously, if you're looking for a modern steel rack - look no further.
