This is my first front loading washing machine. I liked the idea of being able to add to the wash so that was one reason for buying this particular machine. Another reason was that fast rpm's it can do which means the clothes come out almost dry (at top spin). The only complaint I have is that the pause/forward "button", is not very sensitive. I have to push and push before it responds. This might mean it is a little faulty but I will see how it goes over time.Front loaders of course can take a lot of time to complete a wash (eg 2 hours). This is something I will have to get used to although I could do a "quick wash" cycle but does not spin dry the clothes as fast. There were cheaper models but their reviews came up short so I went with this one and so farl I am ... MoreThis is my first front loading washing machine. I bought this washer 8 months ago. I am not happy with this unit. The door seals and trims all get extremely gunky. The rubber seal gets socks stuck in it during the wash so once the cycle is done there are soaking wet socks in the seal. The worst thing about this machine (which Samsung do not warn you about but expect you to read everything in the manual before use) is that socks get sucked under the drum and stuck around the mechanics inside the machine causing issues. Samsung would not cover this under warranty as apparently in their user manual it tells you to use a washing back for socks and bras. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen/heard. Even if you accidentally miss one sock they will deny your claim. Absolute design flaw however gets blamed ... MoreI bought this washer 8 months ago. I am not happy with this unit. We've been using this machine for nearly two months and we absolutely love it.It does an amazing job of washing, it's quiet, and the different cycles have been great to play around with. For most of our washes, though, we tend to use the E-Cotton cycle, and that takes under two hours. We sometimes change the default temperature and spin if we need to. The Delicates cycle does an amazing job of washing gently too. The other options we've enjoyed using is Bedding, Towels, and Woolen. We love that it's energy and water efficient. We can't fault it so far.The only thing that we didn't like is the fact that the machine arrived with a massive scratch along the window. Good Solid Product

While the product is advertised as taking a 8.5kg load on some settings it warns it can only take 4kg. This is good for the longevity of the product. Our last washing machine (Samsung 7.5kg) was overloaded (e.g. three pairs of jeans plus other clothes) too many times and the barrel started knocking against the sides when spinning fast but it did last 9 years. Do more washes with lighter loads (one or two pairs of jeans plus other coloured clothes) or get the 10kg model. If you want you can set it up with Wi-Fi and see remotely if the washing has finished, start it so it finishes when you get home, or timing it so the final spin cycle (which uses the most power) is running when your solar panels are producing lots of free electricity. The small front door allows you to ... MoreWhile the product is advertised as taking a 8.5kg load on some settings it warns it can only take 4kg. Much quicker than stopping the machine, waiting for the door-lock mechanism to release, and starting again.

Great Machine
14 November 2022

Impressed by this model - extensive selections of washing settings, covering almost all bases. An easier soaking setting would be ideal, though, and I wish some of them ran a bit shorter in duration, however - but overall, very helpful with getting a good quality wash out of every load. Machine treats clothes kindly and I have noticed they last longer before looking old - other brand machines I've used in the past have tended to wear out the clothes after washing more quickly. The drainage filter is in an awkward spot for something that needs to be emptied regularly though, as it is right at the bottom but has no drainage or attachment to help drain, just pools out onto floor as soon as filter unscrewed. Machine too heavy to lift to aid with ease of emptying ... MoreImpressed by this model - extensive selections of washing settings, covering almost all bases. Great machine with some funny features
26 October 2022

I purchased this machine as my last Samsung broke and the repair + call out was quoted at more than buying a new one. Go figure! Anyway I'm really liking it. It's pretty quiet and I've used the forgotten clothing item door 2-3 times. I like how it's moved the cycle I prefer (Super @ 58 minutes) to the front of the list. I'm a creature of habit so haven't really used many of the other cycles. I have used the add on function to extend the soak and wash. It plays a funny little musical piece at the end which at the moment I'm finding oddly charming. "Let's do a jig before your complete this chore!".Important to note is that it has a hot AND cold tap connection. We are moving shortly at which time I'll connect the hot water but really this would just be used for the ... MoreI purchased this machine as my last Samsung broke and the repair + call out was quoted at more than buying a new one. As always the Appliances Online experience was fantastic and the delivery team were great with set up and taking away the old one.

It's just OK
9 January 2023

We purchased this front load washer as a temporary unit, while we were in the process of moving interstate. Our regular washing machine is a Speed Queen top loader. The Samsung seems to do a good job of getting things clean, and unlike some front load machines I've seen reviewed, this one doesn't move around during the spin cycle, even when set on the fastest spin. It's reasonably easy to use, but I feel there are way too many different cycles to choose from, and most, take a long time to complete. There is a 15 minute quick wash for small loads, which I find convenient at times. The thing I dislike most though is that the clothes / towels always seem to come out fairly damp compared to our Speed Queen, and that means they take a lot longer to dry. I've tried putting the machine on the fastest spin speed, but they are still a lot wetter than our regular washer. The machine is pretty low which is good for small spaces, like the one in our current rental accommodation.

Leaks even after door replacement
30 June 2022

Great at washing items and many functions to chose from. However from day one the door leaks from two places. The trap door (yes it’s always clean) leaks as well as the bottom of the main door. Literally puddles of water after each wash. The door got replaced but leaks straight away. I’ve had someone come out twice. Apparently they need to take it away to warehouse, for who knows how long (couldn’t tell me and said probably delayed for weeks, expecting to have to order a part), also not sure on how long this will take…very disappointing. Honestly how does Samsung expect it to be ok to go without a washing machine for a unexpected time. (We don’t live near friends or family and I refused to use my expensive clothing/sheets in a laundromat).

SAMSUNG SENSATIONAL
4 January 2023

Replaced 28 y.o. KLEENMAID (SPEED QUEEN) which finally went KAPUT! After navigating instruction manual (easy) put new washer to work. Takes a fair bit longer to complete washing cycle than old machine BUT uses far less water and electricity. Definitely a much cleaner wash, and considering the SPEED QUEEN was a heavy duty commercial unit, I'm well pleased. All the little smart things allow customisation of each washing cycle, so I can still cold wash and vary spin speed, excellent. Relatively affordable too from APPLIANCES ONLINE, with delivery, installation and removal of old machine inclusive. Could not be more pleased at this stage, though unable to report on longevity.

Works well
13 March 2023

So far so good! Have been using the machine for few months now. The 'Super Speed' wash cycle is excellent for cleaning most things and adjusts cleaning time on the weight of the load. The dispenser tray keeps itself clean and free from any spillages - so far no calcium deposits building up. After setting up the Smart Control settings (adding to wifi), you can receive notifications on your phone via SmartThings app, and even have them show on your Samsung TV if using the same Samsung account. As others note, the finish chime is long and unnecessary however this can be turned off in the System Functions. The Drum Clean+ cycle doesn't require any cleaning agents which is a bonus.
