The A52s is an amazing value. The processor and RAM upgrade over the base A52 is significant. It's comparable, in some aspects superior, to the new A53 that just released, but for much less money. BTW - mine came with 8GB of RAM despite the listing stating 6GB. 5G: This phone only supports one of the frequency bands Tmobile uses for 5G, Band 41 at 2500 mHz. But, this is the good one, which Tmo calls "ultra capacity 5G". They also use Band 71, which this phone doesn't support, but the data speeds at that frequency are pretty comparable to 4G anyway. If your current phone isn't a 5G phone, you might need a new SIM card from Tmobile (I did), which they'll provide for free. Something that is possibly fooling other reviewers is that the phone doesn't show a "5G" icon ... MoreThe A52s is an amazing value. The processor and RAM upgrade over the base A52 is significant. If your current phone isn't a 5G phone, you might need a new SIM card from Tmobile (I did), which they'll provide for free. Something that is possibly fooling other reviewers is that the phone doesn't show a "5G" icon next to the signal bars when it's connected to Band 41. It shows "4G+" instead. Why this is the case I don't know, but I confirmed with a radio signal anaylsis app (LTE Discovery) that it's indeed connected to 5G Band 41 when it displays the "4G+" icon. Android: The phone ships with Android 11/Samsung One UI 3. 1 but the update to Android 12/One UI 4. 1 is already out and available as an OTA update. Headphone jack: the A52s is possibly the last Samsung phone to ever include one. A53 doesn't have one, S22 doesn't either. If you want one, this is the last train leaving the station. Fingerprint reader: I prefered the old on-the-back physical fingerprint reader of my old phone to the in-screen reader on this phone. The in-screen reader is a little slower, and it's harder to place my finger in just the right spot every time since there's no tactile sense like there is with a physical sensor. Final note: Amazon doesn't sell this phone - you're buying it from one of several 3rd party sellers through Amazon. The seller I bought from might not be the same seller you buy from. Having used this phone for a month, whilst it is generally good, there are a couple of weaknesses in vital areas, and overall I feel disappointed with it.Good are the screen, speakers and general daily operation – after I had spent a couple weeks reading the setting to turn off annoying notifications and distractions such as the camera shutter sound. The in-screen fingerprint print reader is working well; and I'm hoping, based on reviews, that Samsung will offer a few years of software updates and security patches. I also like having the extended storage, although it is worth noting that not all apps can use this. The battery is reasonable, I can get a full day’s use with a few percent to spare, though to achieve this I have switched the screen mode to 60Hz. A ... The battery is reasonable, I can get a full day’s use with a few percent to spare, though to achieve this I have switched the screen mode to 60Hz. A slight annoyance is the auto screen rotate, which sometimes seems to trigger too easily, and sometimes not at all. I wish there was a setting to control its sensitivity.Disappointments are the camera and sound casting via Bluetooth. The camera is often slow to focus, and prone to blur or problems in exposure. Detail is good in bright conditions, but otherwise limitations are obvious when photos are enlarged. Skin, for example, is prone to mottling and jumps in colour gradient. For me, night mode has so far resulted in grainy, poorly focused photos. Pro mode only offers 10 seconds max exposure - I like to use this mode for night sky photos (e.g. meteor showers and satellites) so was hoping for a longer exposure option – my previous phone offered 30 seconds. Overall, the camera seems inferior to that in my previous, similar price-band phone. Also poorer is the sound casting to Bluetooth earphones and speakers. I like to listen to music stored on my phone. No matter how I tweak the phone settings and equaliser, the sound is a bit flat. Again, this is disappointing compared to my previous phone.

Moves fast, and the screen resolution is great for someone with poor vision like me. Brightness goes very low and it's great when you use it in a darker environment (again if you are photophobic like me, this phone has amazingly low brightness). The sound is pretty good for a phone so if you have small kids who watch vids on your phone, the noise won't make you go insane, it is pretty tolerable even at a higher volume. The phone itself is pretty bulky for someone with small hands and if you add a phone case it will be even thicker. I wouldn't recommend this phone for someone who has small hands and chubby fingers like me - it's a miracle I haven't dropped it so far. Battery life is decent to very good. I have a SIM only contract with is too good to give up so I needed a SIM free phone with a decent amount of storage space at a reasonable price point. After spending ages researching I decided on this one.The phone's not too weighty and not too big like some others. There's a balance between making sure the mobile is large enough to have a decent size keyboard but not too large to be bulky and for me this was just right. I really liked this colour too.I previously had a 64GB mobile but with all the apps I needed, many of which won't store on an external memory card, the phone became too full to function properly. The fact that this phone was water resistant was also a deciding factor, having dropped a mobile in the looin the past!I have had the mobile for ... There's plenty of storage, so I can use all the apps I need and the response rate is good too. I'm not a gamer, so not sure if this is suitable for that, but it streams video without any problems. My only additional preference would have been to have a dual SIM card, however, having decided on a budget this was the best value mobile with enough specs ticked within my price range. With a two year warranty from John Lewis, plus an offer at the time, it was a a good buy. With the cost of some mobiles this was a good value mobile with enough specs to last me a few years.
I hate this phone. Got sand in it, used rice, hair dryer til it finally said it was charging on a trip in the car-kept getting moisture beep and it was almost dead because I was taking trip photos and everyone knows samsung batteries suck. It fried the OEM charger on the way home and was almost burning to the touch. I hate it when a cell phone is just playing games or general use or charging and makes you feel like its going to explode. Its laggy, camera is slow to respond. but quality is better than most newer ones or I'd be buying a S21 or 22 ultra but I refuse to pay over $800 and have tiny hands and purse pockets so I don't want notebook size or debt/phone payments. Last trip I took the new dual samsung charger kept not charging in my new truck and the usb plugged into my work pc says slow charging every day. The port is worn out/loose which I've had with other phones. Won't charge wirelessly. It's 2.5 years old? and I wanted to get rid of it months ago. I had S5 and S9 before, moto Gs recently but the screen broke after 1 fall. Why does it update software at least once a month now?
I love nothing at all about Samsung products as their build and material quality is of the poorest standard. This company love to make rubbish phones then upon Manufacturing repairs scam customers by saying it's the customers fault their cheap materials break. This includes a brand new 4 month old fold 5 1tb bezel coming off from the inside which is a very common fault to the moisture alert which is again another common Samsung fault but the engineers and even the store staff are robots and tell customers they are not valid in asking for a genuine repair. I will never ever ever buy these scam phones ever again and ask people to do the same. Buy quality products like Oppo and you won't ever need a repair. Multiple cameras give so much choices and picture quality is excellent and natural and on board apps allow lots of photography tweaks & settings ! Purchased a decent Wallet-Case to protect this beautiful Samsung Flagship A-Series Cellphone and it still fits comfortably in a front trouser pocket it being Slim yet still a decent screen-size !What is there not to like about this WoW Cellphone !I've now had this Cellphone many weeks & as yet not found any niggles or down points to be concerned with - I would certainly repeat this same purchase if I wanted an extra phone or to give as an special gift to any family member in need of a replacement Cellphone !Improvement Points: Nothing to Not Like - its a Superb Device :-)
Good Points: Long life battery 🔋Large internal memoryBetter camera quality 90% good camera quality.Perfectly sized, Not too large,Also fairly light in weight makes it comfortable to operateFlawless screen, easy and smooth scrolling.Headphone jack and type.C charging port is a great idea.Good audio quality.Improvement Points: Dual sim method is nearly useless in the sense that one cannot insert external memory card while using dual simcard. It is either you insert one sim card and external sd card or two sim cards then forfeit the eternal sd card and then manage the phone's internal memory only. Therefore, I don't consider this phone a 100% dual sim phone. This phone is 50% Dual based on the explanations above.
The screen is top tier but what really creeps up on you is the sound quality.Watching a sports game on this will blow you away with the sound quality. Makes it feel like you are in the stands.Top of the line performance for a standard price.Basically does everything a galaxy s2 can with slightly better performance all around.Compared to the S2 the price is slightly lower, the screen is faster bigger. But the phone is heavier. The camera is significantly better than the S2.Downsides are its a lot bigger and heavier. The only really issue I have with it is the battery is so big that once its really low or empty it takes a long time to charge back up. And because the battery is so big you loose the habit of constantly having it charging.
