Decent phone at best. Battery life was good initially however the issue with androids is that if you leave the phone on charge overnight the battery will suffer in the long term. The performance of the phone was quite poor as it lagged quite a lot and was simply very slow in general. The camera is quite poor and it takes a long time for the phone to focus on said object. Two months ago the battery had an issue and the phones screen stopped working. After that I switched to iPhone which has been running strong since

A total waste of money!

I bought this phone 4 months ago and it has stopped charging. Telstra tell me That the charging port is fine but the battery is not responding. I'm not sure whether the warranty will cover this. And I am left without any confidence in this phone. Any phone that stops working after 4 months with absolutely no damage on it or to it, is poor quality. I am very disappointed with the Samsung Galaxy A70. I have to now pay someone to recover my data on this poor quality phone and hope that Samsung and Telstra sort it out.Not holding my breath!!!!I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ and its better for now...Don't waste your money on the A70.Thanks Telstra for nothing except the standard party line "We are not sure we can do anything".

I guess the phone was allright for the price. The thing that confused me was that on the screen I where there was supposed to be just a background I could see a light aftereffects of a home text and other tabs although these looked nothing like the A70s actual text and home tabs. This made me a bit worried that the phone might be fake. I did get a grade of B. The back is a bit scratched up but at least the screen is new. The box was a bit dirty but I cleaned it off with a cloth. The speaker was a bit dirty too but not too hard to clean up. So overall not too sure about this product if I can update this comment ill see if I can get the picture of the weird after-effect.

Better than expected
22 November 2019

Very happy. Had the phone for a month. Navigating the phone feels slick, the screen looks great, the face recognition is quicker than me drawing a pattern. Much to like about the phone. The battery is fantastic also - looking at the battery usage screen it says 45 hours since last charge which includes 3 hours of YouTube, 10 hours of Bluetoothing music, plus the usual texts and calls. Still reckons another 11 hours left. Nice to know without trying I can get 2 days on one charge. The large phone size isn't too bad either. I was almost not going to buy the phone because of it's size but I've quite grown to liking the large screen. Some small changes in the interface has helped make one handed operating feasible.

Beware of third party sellers on Wal-mart dot com.
2 February 2021

The phone worked well for the first 4 or 5 months and little things started to happen. So I just assumed it was my carrier, and then things really started to go south. The phone started dropping calls or I would have to call several times before the call would go thru. My son said it would freeze his phone when I try calling him. Other times I would get a call and I would try to answer it and it would go to voice mail, after that you could not call out or no one could call you for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Then the internet started acting up, I can only get internet if i'm on wifi. Now my internet no longer works unless i'm on my home or work wifi. It's going back to Samsung to be sent out of the country to hopeful get it fixed. Once it's fixed I will trade it in for an American phone, Bottom line I will never buy anything from Wal-mart dot com third party seller again. Beware of third party seller it you are purching an expensive item,

Charging Issues
2 October 2020

My wife bought this phone for me as a present on last December. up until march of this year it worked fine but then there was an issue with the charging. I sent the phone to a repair centre via JB hifi store in Wantirna south. I was given the phone back after repair but the same problem occurs now and then. meanwhile my phone was little out of shape(slightly bent) after I received it from first repair. and now they claiming that the not charging issue is caused by this abnormal shape and its customer faulty. they need me to pay to replace parts for under warranty phone for a problem that they couldn't fix first time. so gave up the idea of repairing the phone. and phone is some times charging and some times not. and life goes on. so my personal advice is not to buy ... MoreMy wife bought this phone for me as a present on last December. up until march of this year it worked fine but then there was an issue with the charging. Do NOT buy refurbished!!!
25 December 2023

The volumes goes up and down constantly. So the volume is always displayed on screen moving up and down. This is the 3rd refurbished phone Ive bought online from Walmart in 3 MONTHS!!! What are the odds ALL 3 had issues too severe to even use them! Always buy new I guess... If refurbished... Avoid purchasing from Walmart!😔

Excellent phone for the price
10 September 2019

After purchasing this phone and receiving it about a week later, I must say I'm impressed. The overall specs can be compared to flagships, especially the amazing bright, large, and vivid display. The camera is good for the price, and the battery life is amazing. It even comes with a 25 watt fast charging brick which charges that 4500 mAh battery in around 1.5 hours. Software is great and the phone even came with a case, screen protector already installed, a 128 GB SD card, and 3 months of mint mobile for free. Overall, I would highly recommend this phone for anybody looking for a mid-range priced phone with flagship features. My only main complaint is the in-screen fingerprint reader that doesn't like to work half of the time, which I feel like Samsung should be ... MoreAfter purchasing this phone and receiving it about a week later, I must say I'm impressed. Just stopped working
22 January 2021

Well I absolitely loved the phone when I bought it.Samsung A70, I thought it was an official Straight Talk phone, it wasnt, but was unlocked so it was easy to get activated. Paid 340 for it thinking it would last awhile. Fast forward 9 months, the phone shut off, will not charge, turn on, reset, nothing. I thought for sure I brought the protection plan, unfortunately I didnt and am now trying to see about contacting the manufactor for some help. Googling it looks like it could be the mother board, but to replace that is just as much as a new phone. Ill update if i get anywhere. Just unfortunate it quit working. Btw it wasnt dropped, wet or anything. I had a good case on it from day one.

The Dacia of Phones
10 April 2021

Brilliant, reliable and durable phone great for people who want to be able to run high requirement apps, watch movies and contact others; however, its humble, no one is going to be impressed, you cannot show off with it or shoot the most high quality pictures compared to top phones. It is a brilliant phone for someone similar to myself who needs something cheap, reliable and that is a TOOL not an accessory. It can take knocks and scratches and paired with a decent screen protector and case you dont wory about it.If you are someone wanting a high powered, top of the line phone to show off and/or cherrish my advice is to move along as your looking for a Mercedes or BMW not a Dacia.
