And for the Samsung folks - I've tried with and without the "Ambient sound during calls". Speaking of which, if you want to hear colleagues in the office and people on a call, well you know, it won't work. The ambient sound function is also very bad, don't expect to hear as if you were without headphones. In a noisy environment, you will hear everything but people's voices. For example, in the gym, I have to take them off so that I can hear a person talking to me. In general, certain frequencies that you are usually used to hearing and are important to the perception of your surroundings are dulled. If your idea is to listen to music at work and talk to your colleagues simultaneously - well, it won't work. Unless you keep the music to a minimum... and again, don't expect much. I've tried all sorts of settings.Active noise canceling - well, I can't judge with it or without it, the noise is reduced. If I'm not listening to music and it's activated it's as if I didn't play it, even some outside noises are heard more distinctly when I switch it on. So much for active noise cancellation. For music and conversations in a quiet place, the buds are great - but only for that. If you're a total introvert, you'll be happy. For the more communicative - don't take them!

I've used several sets of Bluetooth earphones and headphones before, from the twenty dollar pharmacy specials to multi-hundred dollar top brand ones, and these are by far my favorites. I mostly use them to listen to media; voice (podcasts) as well as music. They fit comfortably, they have excellent sound quality, the battery life is amazing, noise canceling works great and the wireless operating range is excellent. The earphones can only be charged in the case but the case has its own battery which will keep you going all day. The case has a USB-C connector for charging from a wall charger; no charger is included but it does come with a short USB A to C cable. The case also charges wirelessly on any QI compatible wireless charger. The case has a USB-C connector for charging from a wall charger; no charger is included but it does come with a short USB A to C cable. The case also charges wirelessly on any QI compatible wireless charger. When the earphone batteries die, it takes just a few minutes in the case to get them charged up enough to put them back in your ears for hours. And you can use and charge each ear bud individually. Putting one ear bud in the case while you keep the other one in your ear won't end your phone call (unless you accidentally touch the button of course) and neither will getting the second bud out of the case while wearing the other. The earbuds can be paired with multiple devices at the same time (leave the case open, put both earbuds in your ears and hold the buttons for a few seconds until you hear a tone to go into pairing mode). I have them paired with my phone, my work computer and my home computer. When you want to switch devices, you sometimes have to tell the currently connected device to disconnect, before you tell another device to connect. You don't have to use pairing to switch from one device to another. When using these earbuds for phone calls, the people on the other side have a much easier time to understand me than with any of my other earbuds.Noise canceling is as good as you can expect. If you jam the earbuds all the way into your ears so no air gets past them, you're completely cut off from your surroundings. But at least in my case, that also increases bone conductivity so I can hear every footstep or other motion in my ears, which is just too annoying. So I usually pull them out just a tiny bit. I'm sure your mileage may vary: everyone's ears are different. When you're in a room with other people and you want to converse with them while wearing these, or when you're in traffic, you can switch to "ambient sound" mode by pushing and holding the button on one of them (buttons are reprogrammable using an app). In ambient sound mode, the earbuds play the sound from the microphones in your ears instead of using them to cancel noise. It makes it so it's almost as if you're not wearing them.I'm very happy with these earbuds, and I'm wearing them more often than I expected, and longer than I expected. They're not cheap, but definitely worth the money.

Okay the buds themselves looked to be newer or very close to it upon deboxing. When i got to the tips as many others have stated (earwax in the tips and they were most definitely used) idk if someone is not checking these thoroughly and just assuming cause the box is closed they come in that they aren't used. But most definitely they were used. Upon searching online for about 3 hrs i came to the conclusion you officially cannot buy the tips (exact ones used) anywhere. Even samsung sites people suggest purchasing from Amazon and getting foam ones vs. Silicone. Amazon does carry both types the most exp i seen was $30 for 3 pk of foam ones, least expensive with decent reviews $7.00. Upon looking at these however first thing you'll notice is the ones that are included have screens inside of the actual tips, other resellers who sell knock off ones do not have the screen inside. I am unsure how and if this will effect the quality of the buds.Back to the product itself. The buds i got both black and violet for $79.99 each so combined i payed $40 less then one pair of brand new ones so even with having to get new tips it still is worth saving $120 per pair as far as where i stand now. They come with a 90 day warranty where if there is some sort of malfunction etc (accidental damage not covered) they will fix it for you. You also have 15 days from the date of pick up to return if not satisfied. So far i am on the fence if i will be returning and purchasing the new pair instead. I did try another pair of tips i had and i cannot speak for the original tips cause they were used and wasnt putting these in my ears no way. But other pair of them not ones inc i noticed right away they do not drown out all noise as advertised being noise canceling. Once again dor $80 not horrible but if this is the case with the reg tips as well i would say that would be a deal breaker for me as that is the main reason i went with this model and not the blue colored sibling bud that was $50 less at $149.99 new and $59.99 certified refurbished. As soon as i got within range to my phone with the charging box i got a msg on my phone that they would like to pair and synch them to my device.Ive always been more of a traditional large stereo headphone type of person vs. Earbuds in the past but finding a good pair that has loud bass and drowns out excess noise is not easy to come by. These werent bad sound quality. I did have a slight hard time keeping them in a comfortable place in my ears also i would definitely worry about using while running etc. But again this is not using the original tips as i said the ones included have screens in the actual tip as well as the bud itself so perhaps that is the reason for sub-par sound quality and fit. I do question why Samsung does not sell replacement tips which you would assume they would or at least have some sort of company they work with the same not just search for one at your own risk. So if you're on a budget and have your heart set on samsung buds then i would say they are worth it just try to find the perfect tips and you will be satisfied.

Business Professionals Beware

I conducted hours of reaseach to find top of the line earbuds. I needed earbuds that would give me the best call experience for both myself, and the person on the other line, as I am on conference calls much of my day. This is NOT that product. My sound quality is great, but those on the other line gave me consistent feedback that they could hear all background noise around me, in all environments when BT to both my mobile device and my laptop.I troubleshot the device myself before reaching out to support. I opted for the latter in hopes to upgrade call quality.Ordered for in-store pickup and paid in full prior to pickup. I was under the impression that I would hand over my Buds Pro as a trade in, they would factory reset the device, and give me my new device. Upon arrival to store location I was met with confusion. I was told that I could not give my device to the store, and would receive a shipping label that I needed to print myself, and then find a FedEx to return. This is all acceptable if this president were set in the beginning. Which it was not.If you are a busy professional like me, beware of this product and its customer service as both will cause you headache and waste 3-5 hours of your time. If you are in search of a product where you can take calls in any environment that is not completely silent, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Samsung's Galaxy Buds Pro are decent ear buds, but fall just a little short for me. I like them. They're perfectly serviceable and well-made, although they just don't get loud enough through my phone. I really only use ear buds to listen to music while mowing the lawn or to catch up on television shows while on the treadmill. Unfortunately, they just don't do all that well against treadmill and mower motors.I have an older Galaxy phone (the S8) and had no issues connecting the buds to it. The Galaxy Wearable app opened right up, allowing me to set some minor customizations and update the firmware. The manual states that you must have the Wearable app to use the buds, but I was able to connect them to my laptop very easily. The manual states that you must have the Wearable app to use the buds, but I was able to connect them to my laptop very easily. I will say that they are much louder through my laptop, which sort of negates my treadmill criticism. All of the controls on the buds themselves are used via touch. Tap once to pause and play music or answer a call. Tap twice to advance to the next song, thrice to backtrack. You can also change what a tap does via the Wearable app. Taps can also control volume or adjust the active noise control. I have had some issues with the responsiveness of the touch controls. There is a bit of a delay. When you tap there is a sound indication, but that beep takes just long enough to fool you into thinking your tap wasn't recognized and your song isn't going to pause. So, you'll tap again just as you hear your song pause for a moment and then restart from that second tap. I also have a hard time finding the sweet spot that recognizes the tap. I'll tap twice to advance the song only to have it pause, then tap to restart missing the spot yet again. These ear buds feature active noise cancelling. There are three modes; active noise cancelling on, a.n.c. off, and ambient sound. For the best sound quality, ambient sound is the best choice. Active noise cancelling (both on and off) kind of deadens and muffles the audio. Also, I don't notice much of a difference between having noise cancelling on or off. There are a couple of equalizer presets in the app as well. I think the bass boost option is best as the headphones lack depth when listening to music. I found that playing with my phone's equalizer, along with the one in the Wearable app, enhanced the quality of audio. My favorite thing about the buds is the case. It's nice and small, holds the buds with a magnet and can be charged wirelessly. As for wired charging, the buds do come with a usb cable, but like everything thing else anymore, no plug. Also included are a few different size ear tips, which I still have to experiment with. My left bud kept falling out the other day while I was eating, so I'm sure a different tip will help prevent that... otherwise these may end up being useless for exercise. I don't hold these ear buds at fault for this though, as this has been an issue for me with all ear buds I've ever used.

Great Purchase
10 September 2022

I had these Buds a few days and already loved the audio these buds produce. I love feeling the sound from tunes, and so far, I'm impressed. Playing songs is a different experience with 360⁰ S O U N D. You can turn your head and feel like it's twinkling at you. The trick to getting that great sound is gentle movements with the Buds. When placing them in your ear, adjust with a slight twist. They fill the ears with sound. I've used the previous Buds plus and would say the sound stage on the pros is far superior. Very impressed with the intelligent voice recognition feature, which lowers the volume when you begin to speak and allows the ambiance around you to be heard clearly. Connection is instant, and you can experience your tunes differently. Been using them for up ... MoreI had these Buds a few days and already loved the audio these buds produce. Been using them for up to 2 hours at a time, and they feel very comfortable, and after changing to a larger tip, they give a good seal. I used them outside and feel very comfortable, lightweight, responsive & work well when using them for phone calls. Spotify, YouTube, & gaming all sound brilliant. I haven't needed to use the ANC, but I briefly tried it and thought it helped with the outside noise.

Ran my earbuds through the washer and dryer twice.
10 February 2023

Great product. Unless your dog eats them they are virtually indestructible. I have ran them through the washer and dryer twice. I was nervous when I put them in but both times I popped them in my ear and was excited to hear they sounded just as good as the sounded fresh out of the box. The sound quality is amazing easy to use and I slept with them in on many occasions. They batteries last forever I work a 12 hour shift and have them on for just about the whole time and they start cutting off towards the end a little. I just pop one in the charger and use the other one for a little after I get the warning beeps and by the time It dies the other one is charged enough to get me home. I could keep flip flopping them If I wanted but I am usually home by then and just ... MoreGreat product. Unless your dog eats them they are virtually indestructible. I can usually make it up one flight of stairs out my front door and start pulling away before the finally lose connection. I dont really know what else to say. Oh just pay the extra and get the replacement plan in case your dog eats your earbuds. You just bring them back and get new ones. I cannot live without mine.

Sound is alright, fit is terrible and affects my enjoyment

I find myself preferring my Galaxy buds+, while the pro feels like I overpaid for a downgrade. To start off, the fit SUCKS. It falls off every few minutes unless you stand perfectly still, and then it'll fall off within a half hour or so. You'll find yourself constantly trying to adjust it and shove it deeper into your ear, but the bulbus part of it is so large that it doesn't quite stay fit. After awhile, they start to hurt on my ears, because the skin in my ears is feeling the pressure from trying to hold these slippery things in, whereas with the buds plus I never had any ear discomfort or issues whatsoever. Then there's the tapping- everytime I try to jam the pros back in it'll do a tap or a double tap and completely mess up whatever I was listening to or ... MoreI find myself preferring my Galaxy buds+, while the pro feels like I overpaid for a downgrade. Then there's the tapping- everytime I try to jam the pros back in it'll do a tap or a double tap and completely mess up whatever I was listening to or watching. Somehow it's super sensitive to touch, particularly when I'm trying to push it back in my ears, but when you actually need to touch it for pausing music or skipping videos, it lags in the touch and won't always respond to light tapping. I feel like I have to slam my finger several times so it can recognize the triple or double tap. With the buds plus, there was an edge in the buds where you could place your fingers and not worry about the touch controls going crazy. Unfortunately, the buds pro's touch button takes up the entire surface, so no matter how far on the edge my fingers are as I try to readjust them, the touch controls still respond and start pausing/playing my music. As for sound quality, it's pretty good, except you hardly enjoy it at full capacity because half the time these things are slipping off my ears and muffling the sound in the process. It also feels like I'm underwater half the time with the pressure these things place, it's really uncomfortable. I only bought these for the noise cancellation and to substitute my lost buds plus for something that would still have the same wearable app compatibility along with the familiar touch features. Sound quality and battery life are about the only neat things I can say of the buds pro. But I miss my buds plus.

The Sensuality of Lilac Silence
16 July 2022

Behold, the lilac ear buds that whisper sweet nothings to you as you turn the sound down on your Audible subscription so you will not wake the passengers with your downloaded erotica. It was no obstacle as my phone detected my earbuds and raved in ecstasy as it allowed me to listen to music while I gave them a brief test on my device.Behold their glory as they mute background noise, not just for calls, but also for concentration. My noisy toddler was no obstacle while his dad watched him, and I focused on my downtime. The shrieks and squeals of an excited child were no match to the silence I beheld; those sounds diminished so completely that I only heard the din as though my family was across the street as opposed to just being upstairs. Now, I am not a technological pro with these, so I will lay it out plain: these synced easily, sound great, and provide great noise canceling. Unfortunately, I did not try these with my phone during a call so I cannot attest to the microphone durability. Charging is a breeze and battery life is good.If you want more specific details, I recommend other reviews or consulting technical guides. As a mom who desperately seeks quiet time and got these as a belated present, I am more than satisfied with my purchase.

WILL NOT STAY IN EARS. UNUSABLE
10 August 2022

I had the original Galaxy Buds and I absolutely loved them. Everything about them was great. I used them so much at the gym though that eventually the microphone stopped working from the sweat, and I couldn't make phone calls with them which was a problem since my job sometimes requires me to jump in a zoom call when I am not in front of my computer. I got a lot of use out of them so I was more than happy to purchase the newer version. Unfortunately, these newer versions are completely unusable.I don't understand how a company like Samsung, after knocking it out of the park with their 1st model, can release something this god awful. Sure the audio quality is fine and the features are all good, but none of that matters when the earbuds are falling out of your ears ... MoreI had the original Galaxy Buds and I absolutely loved them. Sure the audio quality is fine and the features are all good, but none of that matters when the earbuds are falling out of your ears literally at least once a minute. I have not only tried all 3 of the sized tips it comes with, but I have actually purchased 3rd party tips that were supposed to address this issue but they did not help. I've tried putting them in my ears different ways, nothing helps. I really wish I could just trade these in for a new pair of the original Buds. Also just to be clear, my wife also bought a pair and she had the exact same problem that I did. Just in case you don't believe me. You can simply just click this reddit link and see pages and pages and pages of people asking for help with this issue.https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/search/?q=falling%20outDO NOT BUY.
