I find myself being extremely frustrated all day with using these and that seems to be the trend with all new Samsung tech including my watch and phone. Highly do not recommend these unless you're bold and only ever listen to them sitting down without taking them out.

Tl;dr at the end.I own a pair of Samsung Gear IconX 2018 buds that I have had since shortly after they came out, which, I will be completely honest, I used for maybe a month before basically permanently shelving them. For what was available at the time, they were good, but they just didn't match my needs for a number of reasons. So when I received my Galaxy Buds+ and discovered that they address basically every issue I had with the IconX, I can't express how happy I was.To start with, the fit - I have somewhat shallow ear canals (is that a thing? I think it's a thing), so the relatively long ear stems (if that's what they're called) on the IconX were uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour or so. The shorter stems on the Galaxy buds are much more comfortable, as are the default wingtips. They are also 2.4g lighter each, and while that doesn't sound like a lot, it definitely makes a difference - I can barely tell that I'm even wearing them, they are all round very comfortable even for extended use.The charging case is significantly smaller and easier to pocket than the IconX as well, with a nice gloss finish as opposed to the IconX matte finish. Wireless charging for the case is convenient, being able to place it on my charging pad instead of finding a cable makes these things truely wireless. I haven't done a proper battery test as of yet, but the battery times claimed for both the buds and the charging case are double that of the IconX at 11 hours for the buds and 11 hours for the case (which is impressive considering the batteries in both are actually smaller than those in the IconX), so they should easily last a week or two worth of commutes between charges depending on your commute length. They also took a lot less time to charge than the IconX.Pairing is very fast, and once paired, the buds will connect to your device less than a second after opening the case.Passive sound isolation is good, due to current circumstances I have yet to test them on public transport or on crowded city streets, however in a supermarket they blocked out basically all ambient sound. Sound passthrough was good enough to have a conversation with the cashier when music was paused, though the standout feature here is the ability to turn passthrough on or off with a gesture on the Buds themselves (the IconX required opening your phone, opening the app, and toggling the setting, at which point you might as well have just taken the buds out of your ears if the conversation was only going to be brief).I miss the ability to adjust volume with a swipe up or down, though there is an experimental feature to adjust volume by tapping on the edge of the left bud for down or right bud for up, but I couldn't really figure out how to get it to work, and it's not the biggest deal when I can just adjust it on my phone.Sound quality is excellent with a wide variety of sources (tested with pop, rock, and metal music, and some spoken YouTube videos), especially when compared to the IconX or the wired headphones that came with the S20+. Actually having bass makes everything sound much more full. Obviously they won't sound quite as good as full sized on-ear or over-ear headphones, but they aren't far off even some of the more expensive headphones I've tried.IPX2 is better than nothing, but IPX4 water resistance would have been nice, so I wouldn't be wearing these out in the rain without a hood, and if you sweat around the head a LOT when you exercise, also might not be the best idea to wear them then. No onboard storage means you need to carry your phone with you, which might be a problem if you want to take them jogging or cycling while leaving your phone behind, but my phone lives in my pocket so this was far from a problem for me.Tl;dr - I wholeheartedly recommend these buds to almost anyone, especially those who are currently using the IconX or the headphones included with their Android phone, unless the lack of storage or IPX4 rating is a big problem for them.

I emailed Samsung directly for advice on what Buds product would beet suit my needs (as an iPhone user who suffers migraines) and, with their response, ordered the Buds+! I am not disappointed :) The reason I went with the Buds+ over any other Buds product was they are compatible with the Buds iPhone app (while most others are not) and I wanted the extra features. The main thing that sold me on trying them was that the Buds series play audio close to true sound, without Bass Boost on by default (though it can be turned on in the app settings if it is wanted). As someone who gets migraines from heavy bass, this has been the first wireless pair I’ve managed to get that actually delivers high quality sounds with balanced treble.I’ve had a lot of wireless headphones ... MoreI emailed Samsung directly for advice on what Buds product would beet suit my needs (as an iPhone user who suffers migraines) and, with their response, ordered the Buds+! I charged, opened the app, followed the instructions, and a minute later had them working!I’m also very happy about the ability to turn on ambient noises in the app. It sounds a little odd at first, but I’m grateful that I will be able to hear traffic and talk to my neighbours without having to remove my headphones. There are also other good features in the app that made these worth it over the other Buds products when on iPhone! It also came with different sized insert attachments for comfort, which was a good plus!

I bought these for myself just over a year ago and I absolutely loved them since my Bluetooth option at the time was a very dated over the ear Motorola Bluetooth. In fact, I loved them so much I got some for my girlfriend who loves them just as much as I do. Unfortunately for the past few months, I have been unable to hear out of the right ear bud. I panicked thinking I have some sort of blockage in my ear because the left earbud has no issues. Turns out the issue is the right ear bud.I also have had issues with random connects & disconnects while in use. These have never been dropped, I clean them on a regular basis but now my $200 purchase is just disappointing. I've moved since I bought these, so I am not certain I can find my receipt to study the manufacturer warranty, but like most expensive items purchased these days, I wouldn't be surprised if I am just outside of the window. My initial review would have been 5 stars, but to experience defects this soon, I would recommend looking for a lower price option
This all started with a replacement watch..My Apple Watch 5 stopped working, to repair it would be the same cost to replace it. I've already out lived 3 other Apple watches and needed a change. I bought a Mobvoi watch which I quickly grew annoyed with my Apple iPhone for its limiting me to using Apps to track my health and exercise. Great noise canceling! I'm typing away right now listening to music and I can't hear my usual keyboard finger smashing! Nice bass as well! I really have crap hearing from my being a musician and in my youth as well as attending plenty of loud concerts. As a result, I need something that I can listen to louder than most can offer (in this price range). These are doing just that, I can enjoy my tunes at the gym and while riding my bike. All of it, the case, the ear buds feel like quality. Nice weight, too light and I can easily loose the box out of a jacket pocket, having a little weight to the case means it will hold its place in my pocket. Samsung has got my attention. Looking forward to more accessories to purchase.Oh, and getting a wireless charger pad as a purchase Bonus (registered and awaiting its arrival) is icing on the cake, what a total Value purchase!!! Thanks Samsung!I bid goodbye to Apple phone, buds, watches.
Bought these to replace missing pair. Read the reviews and took a chance buying these refurbished for a big markdown. There was indeed earwax still on them like others reported. but since the reviews warned me first and I would definitely have cleaned them thoroughly anyways, no big deal for me. Cleaned up great. Now I have listened to them for about 8 or 10 hours and they seem great, just as my old pair sounded and worked. Charging case so far going off without a hitch. They were clearly reboxed but included all the accessory ear tips. Beware if you are having your bud disconnect while still in your ear, clean the little black sensor because that's how the buds "know" they're being used. Cleaning your ears helps a lot too. Bought these 7 months ago. Paid a premium price for them and now im left with an expensive paperweight unless I wanna pay even more money to fix them. Used them for nothing but normal use. Used on the plane, bus, working out... and thats where the flaw is. This product cannot even handle a little bit of sweat. an IPX2 rating is pathetic. So because I sweat like a normal human would do when working out, I had some moisture creep into the terribly designed bud and now theyre dead. This product is not designed to be close to skin and should only be used as a paperweight effectively.Second issue is also with design. No mystery here. You can easily pop these burnt pieces of popcorn open and see the water corrosion. No help at all.I normally love my samsung products but this is a new low. absolutely embarrassing for Samsung to sell something of such low quality and design.
These headphones are great and I love the sound quality, but the problem is that I’ve purchased two pairs of this same model. The first time was an annoyance, but okay, things break. The second time, the headphones broke down with the exact same problem as the first time; the microphone worked for a couple weeks, then just stopped. Nobody can hear me on calls, in video chats, in voice lobbies, or anything. Once the headphones are disconnected though, everything is perfect. I had the same problem with it connected to Samsung and Apple devices.I wish I could leave a better review of these headphones, and I want to like them. But I just didn’t have these problems with the regular Galaxy Buds, and the same problem is recurring. I just purchased these to have in my car for work and commute. Otherwise, easy setup, easy pair, which the Galaxy had 1 or 2 more steps. I have an Android and just downloaded the Beats app(last yr with my powerbeats purchase), super easy and just added the buds to my app with the others and they were ready to go! Great purchase!
I'm usually pretty satisfied with the Samsung brand, but these are by far one of the worst pair of earbuds I've ever purchased. Initially when first using them, the sound quality was great, they fit well, were easy to install and connect with the phone, and the battery life was amazing. Not even a week into using them, the left earbud volume went all the way down to a whisper. I tried updating software, un-pairing and re-pairing the buds from the phone, and even tried to fiddle around with the sound settings in the phone app and nothing worked. I sent them back for repair and they shipped out a replacement set of buds, but I have since purchased aftershokz which I absolutely love. The replacement pair arrived and was only used twice and I'm running into the same issue again with the left earbud... I'm over it! These earbuds are too expensive to have to keep running into the same issue and not be able to use them for what they have been designed for. I don't want another replacement pair, I want my money back and I'll just still to Aftershokz!
