The camera is the biggest difference between the two handsets. The S10 has three rear cameras, whereas the S9 has only one. That means the S10 has way more advanced options for photographers, or anyone wanting to take a half decent pic. The front camera has also been improved, from 8 megapixels to 10. Which should result in clearer selfies and higher-quality video calls. The screen: This is another big improvement. The S10’s screen stands a massive 6.1 inches, which is bigger than the 5.8-incher found on the S9. In fact, accounting for the rounded corners, the S9’s is only 5.6 inches, so you get almost half an inch more screen real estate to play with. Battery and charging: Another area, another big step up. The S10 has a 3,400mAh battery, which is 400mAh more than the S9. The result? The phone should last longer between charges. The S9 gave 12 hours of browsing on data or 14 on wi-fi, or 16 hours of continuous video playback before giving up the ghost. Expect all of these to improve for the S10.Both handsets boast wireless charging – just plonk them down on a wireless charging mat and they’ll juice up with no need to plug in fiddly cables. Let's not forget that you can use your S10 to charge another Galaxy or Note simply by enabling the wireless powershare. Like its predecessor, the S10 has both a fingerprint scanner and facial recognition software, so you can unlock the phone just by looking at it. But there’s a crucial difference – the fingerprint sensor is built into the screen, instead of placed around the back. That makes for a more elegant design, and means you won’t accidentally press the camera with your fingertip, smudging the lens, as you reach around back for the sensor. Good news all round. Storage and dimensions overall has also improved. Definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Analogue audio output (via 3.5mm jack), (I don't know if newer Samsungs output analogue audio via USB-C port, but the 3.5mm jack is gone) LineageOS supported device. OLED screen has perfect black tones in dark room viewing. Cons: OLED screen has a 60Hz strobing artifact which can make your eyes tired. This is more noticeable on a big screen cpm[ared to a smaller screen version of a Galaxy S10. Volume controls are opposite the power button resulting in accidental button presses. No SDCard expansion capability in contrast to other Galaxy S10 models. Overall: Still probably an ideal bang for buck phone for a few more years if you shop around

Even with a case in the phone, glass on the back breaks way too easily making it look like garbage

It's not terrible but why Samsung makes the back of the phone glass is beyond me. It cracks so easily. It has happened to my s9 and the s10 quite easily even with cellphone cases on. I dont know why they want their brand associated with them breaking so easily. Literally everyone breaks the back glass. It's so delicate and makes it look like garbage I don't like the camera on the front. Its an eye sore and makes my apps look different vs the s9. It operates good though. Samsung has always been a good product and hasn't let me down, except for making the back of it glass I'm happy ish Battery lasts a bit longer than the s9 and it's it's tad bigger but thats the only advantage I see. If you have the s9 I would wait to upgrade.

From S8 to S10
2 January 2020

As expected, this is a significant upgrade from the adequate S8 I had. It's lightweight, but substantive. It's slightly wider than the S8. The screen resolution with the display setting maximized is impressive, and while I'm certain that affects battery life, I'm still getting deep into Day 2 of a charge with moderate use. I've heard a few complaints about the integrated fingerprint scanner, and my experience has been mostly positive: on a few occasions I either miss the target location or there's a misread. I found a tip that registering the same finger twice improves the success rate, and I believe that's true. This is my first phone with a "punch hole" in the upper right corner for the front camera in lieu of a "notch" at the top middle. This is my first phone with a "punch hole" in the upper right corner for the front camera in lieu of a "notch" at the top middle. I've gotten used to it, and it's actually less intrusive than the notch, while still indicating which end of the phone is the top since there's no home button. The processor handles what I throw at it fine, which is not a lot as I'm not what I consider a high-end user. I was never really frustrated at the response time of my S8, but this phone is certainly quicker. One feature I really like is the gesture-based "navigation bar" at the bottom of the phone (where there are usually tap-able icons for Home, Back, and Recents). There are also myriad appearance and process customizations; almost a dizzying amount, causing me to wonder how much they're actually utilized by people. Overall I got a great deal on a new phone (though the box it came in certainly wasn't new), I saved $300-500 on a purchase of either the same phone or an iPhone 11 from Verizon (and didn't have to sign a 2-year contract). Of course, the S10 price will drop considerably early next year when the S11 is released, and there may be some "killer feature" or rumored S-Pen compatibility, akin to the Note, on the S11. But I would have had to wait 4-5 months from now. Overall, quite pleased so far.

Great Phones!
30 September 2022

My first S10+ developed a display issue after about 3 years..it was still working, but the display all of a sudden, started to fade out..like a washed out look to it. Not bright and clear like it usually was. Colors were wrong and the display had light streaks all over it. I loved the phone and debated getting one of the newer ones..a 21 or 22..but I was already familiar with the 10, so I just got another one. They are at a pretty good price now since they are older..even the new ones. New ones will get harder to find as time goes on of course, but for now, they are around. These have great cameras! Easy to set up and use and all the features I'd ever want. I'm not a big phone person..I don't play games, not into TikTok, Instagram, or the other social media ... MoreMy first S10+ developed a display issue after about 3 years..it was still working, but the display all of a sudden, started to fade out..like a washed out look to it. I use a lot of the other features of the phone..I just don't use it extensively or constantly. Battery life is good for me, but if one uses it for gaming or such and heavily uses it, it won't last long of course. Remember, these Samsung phones are not very easy to get into. They require heating up the case along the edges to separate if any work needs to be done inside. Displays are great! Very vivid!

Nice phone, but many issues for an unlocked phone
17 December 2022

Very difficult to get it working for an unlocked phone. Most would expect to remove my active sim card with my wireless carrier from my old phone and place it in this new S10. Spent over 2 hours with my wireless carrier representative, had to down load an app from the Samsung store and jump thru hoops to finally get a signal. Phone finally works but never displays my network carrier like the many phones I have had. Over all the phone is nice and came with all the accessories as mentioned. Still up in the air!!

Phone was dirty and covered in ear wax or dirt
13 November 2022

I didnt expect it to be in dirty shape ... it said 9/10 recertified refurbishedI'm trying to contact seller so we can make a deal or fix thisI'm not asking to return because its waste of money and time . I want either a new phone or better condition phone. Or credit to get a new phone sent to me . I dont know but wow ear wax or dirt really ????I guarentee it's a used phone from someone recently used and they did a factory reset and put it in the box and shipped...Not what refurbished or recertified means...

Quite a nice phone for being outdated.
9 September 2022

So far so good, and everything works just fine, except for the total battery life. I can get about a day and a half on a single charge. But for today's standards, that is not very good. However, there are plenty of battery saving and resolution options to help with this The "holepunch" is cool looking, but it does block buttons in games sometimes. The processor is fast, and the UI is very responsive. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S10 with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and it runs fabulous!

RETURNED
10 December 2022

The item I purchased said open box- meaning a new product , just box opened. I have found out these are used and refurbished phones, with alot of unhappy reviews. Misrepresented as far as I'm concerned so I didn't accept it, and sent it back. The repair shop where my broken s7 was at to get the data retrieved from it had the same s10 phone from this seller, sold under the same pretence. It was there because it wasn't working, was well used, I was told over 1400 charge cycles on it, definitely NOT open box. So don't get too excited by the "sale", because it's not a deal in any capacity. I fell for the black Friday special, but was lucky to find out about this before the phone arrived.

Touch screen doesn't work right
10 January 2022

Very disappointed with this phone. I bought this phone for my wife for Christmas and it has had problems ever since she began to use it with the touch screen. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When touching buttons they require multiple times of pressing and even doing so they can sometimes completely not open or goes to another site. I am very frustrated, and my wife is frustrated. Contacted the seller several times but just gives us technical solutions that don't work. According to other reviews they were good and that's why I choose to purchase the phone. But not this phone. We would like another phone or our money back. Even made the suggestion but to know avail.
